Appearance: Dom is on the better side of average looking, with olive skin, an oval shaped face, a long, thin nose, and eyes that resemble the color of lime rinds. His eyelids and the area underneath his eyes are tinged a blueish grey, giving him the appearance of not having slept in a while. His mouth is long and thin, and opens unnaturally wide to reveal blinding white teeth that are pointed ever so slightly. His dark chocolate hair is short on the sides and long on the top, and when he bothers to style it (which isn't very often) he gels it into messy spikes. When he doesn't bother, well... it's just messy. He carries himself at 5'8" (173 cm), with a medium build and a physique somewhere between average and athletic.
Powers: Telepathy and shapeshifting. More or less.
Weakness: Dom is far from immortal or invulnerable, so he is weak to things most normal folks would be. If you shoot him, he'll bleed; if hit with fire, he'll burn.
Background: Dom had a fairly normal childhood and upbringing, in a cozy white suburban neighborhood. But he always knew there was something... a little off about himself. He found himself very in tune with the darkest corners of people's minds, where they put the things they didn't want to think about anymore. Around the age of twelve, when cornered by the schoolyard bully, something... happened. Something nobody could explain. Dom's parents searched frantically for answers for their little boy's growing problem, and moved from place to place in a panic to keep him hidden from people who would never understand. At 17, they finally found their answer, and shipped him along to the Academy. He's attended for the last year, and finally feels somewhat "normal" for the first time in his life. He isn't fully adjusted, as he isn't the most popular guy on campus and his grades are in the toilet, but he'd rather be there than back in mortal suburbia where the smallest slip-up will find him under the unforgiving eye of the government - or worse, in a lab under a microscope.
Personality: Dom is a pretty laid back, easy going guy which gets him in more trouble than he usually bargains for. More than a bit of a slacker, he doesn't put much value on his education... or anything, for that matter. Despite that, he tries to be a good person in the other areas of his life and is always available to lend a hand, an ear, or some (perhaps unintentionally bad) advice. He tends to avoid people thanks to his "gifts", but won't deny you his company should you come looking for it. Aside from his boxing class and trips to the gym, he's pretty lazy and lacks the motivation to do anything particularly productive. His first language is sarcasm, and he has a soft spot for pretty girls and taquitos (but especially taquitos).
