I've been persuaded into watching anime again and... well let's just say I've been put back into the mood for a nice RP.

Plus this is the first Naruto roleplay I've seen to feature several good writers and a plot that isn't completely fighting centralized, so that's a bonus. I'd love to join!

There wasn't a part in the character sheet to really put this (Like there wasn't really a, "strengths" sections, but the idea is that my character has very immense reiatsu reserves. I'm talking very high, so high that he has to limit it even when he's in the soul society. The idea behind his Shikai and Bankai is that when he enters theses forms he is releasing that immense spirtual power in different amounts because. Unsealing his sword and entering Shikai would release 60% of his reiatsu, which is a shit ton of spirtual power (And pressure) comparatively.

I explained the aura, I do believe. By variable consistency and shape, I mean that the Reiatsu surrounding his blade can be effectively shaped during his Shikai to gain length and then hardened into a blade that can cut through just about anything. This is his main ability in both Shikai and Bankai, as it allows him to fool opponents who don't expect him to be able to harden his reiatsu like so.

I also do believe I misunderstood - the Shikai skills part is merely explaining, "what" the Shikai does. As in, what abilities it grants him. Those aren't separate abilities so much as they are the benefits of the Shikai itself.

Personality: Shikata is an incredibly intelligent person, and he knows it. Every aspect of his personality reflects how highly he thinks of himself, and likewise how he thinks of other people. This attitude often causes problems socially – as he is quick to dismiss the likelihood that any idea other then his own is relatively valid. This causes people to get angry with him and his witty retorts, and he is, as a result, a loner at heart. Still, he isn't cold, or at all a mean person – the fact is, most of his disrespectful remarks are but a facade, put up to keep people away

Zanpakuto name: Sodaina kemono

Type: Melee

Zanpakuto Shikai Release command: Severe all bonds, Sodaina.

Sealed appearance: A simple Katana with an extremely long ribbon hanging off the end, inside of which lies most of Shikata's massive reiatsu in Sodaina's sealed form.

Shikai appearance:


Description: Upon releasing his sword, Shikata's Zanpakuto morphs, it's once natural blade extending about a foot and taking on the appearance of solidified flames. Silver-grey flames of spiritual energy materialize and emanate from the sword, creating an aura of manipulable reiatsu. This is in fact the strength of Sodaina's Shikai release – the ability to change it's reach and power by altering the consistency of this reiatsu. It can change by up to 10 feet nearly instantly in every direction, and amplifies both the cutting and defensive capabilities of Sodaina by almost three times.

Bankai appearance:

Description: Sodaina Kemono's Bankai is one of epic proportions – an ability that truly distinguishes Shikata's Zanpakuto from the most others. Upon it's activation, an immense explosion of spiritual energy will engulf a massive radius of about two hundred feet. Funneling upward, this magnificent Bankai energy, over a time period of a few seconds, begins to manifest into Shikata's armor and Zanpakuto, intensifying and empowering all of Shikata's abilities several times over. Much like his Shikai release, Silver-grey reiatsu, in the form of flames, emanates from his body, creating a variable and fully manipulable defense that can also serve as a close ranged offense.

Typically only used as a last result, Saishu Ririsu sacrifices 95% of Shikata's potential reiatsu and channels that reiatsu into a purely offensive form, giving him immensely powerful offensive capabilities in exchange for completely nullifying his defenses, making him vulnerable to many attacks. Once released into it's final form, Sodiana manifests itself into a beastly form, Shikata's Zanpakuto morphing into a blade of pure reiatsu. Likewise,

Hey, I'm totally interested in joining. I'll begin working on a character right away, but I just wanted to ask a few questions~

A, What's happened so far IC? I mean I could read 1500 posts but I'd rather not...
B, Plot wise, what are we looking at here? Are there going to be Espada/Arrancar in the future?
C, Are the positions in the first post up to date? Are the other captains controlled by NPCs (Who would be controlled by the OP?)

I may have more questions later if I think of them. Thanks in advance for answering, and I'll begin work on my character right away.
