I will admit my story canon logic isn't infallible, in fact quite the opposite. I am at a concert currently, but I will try and expand on the innerworkings of the universe and how magic works in general when I get home.
And as I was thinking about it, there needs to be a way that the armor is connected to the user. The manaegis is connected to each piece and to the user through thousands of small strings of mana through the same pores the mana for the manaegis was exuded from. The strings are intagible and as such can go through clothing without damaging it; only existing as a force to mind the armor to its wearer.
@Prodigal Son How does the armor bend? How do you even move if its all a solid piece of metal. You're a walking coffin.

I will concede to you that point, but rebut with this. The seems in which the manaegis needs to have to be able to move are only as small as they need to be in order to move. In this case they would be much smaller than a blade.
That's one way
As long as you're on board I will find a way. Also jee I wonder. I can control water at will. However will I suffocate him with it.. On this frozen river... With all this water in my canteens.

Lol.

I won't have him lose, but if you want to have your character see him impacted by something you do, I am down with that.

Also, Manaegis doesn't have chinks in between the pieces of armor. The armor is by all means one piece, all connected. With about the same thickness throughout. The only way to get to him by normal means would be through the face plate slits.
@Zelosse
Manalloy is extremely buoyant. So you would have to force the water specifically through the visor, or trap him in a box of pure water somehow.
Raiya balled up her fists. She wanted to tell him no. More than that, she wanted to kill him and end his nuisance of an existence right now. But, with all the onlookers in the club, and her own sense of honor, she couldn't.

So she walked over to the Tsukihi, who was now sitting up and rubbing her head, and held out a hand to pull her up.

Tsukihi accepted and used her grip to pull herself up

"You aren't really going to go through with this, are you?" Tsukihi asked.

"It looks like I don't really have a choice in the matter." Raiya patted her on the shoulder and gave her a smile. "Are you okay? Nothings broken?"

"Nah. Ah might have some hair-line fractures and definitely some bruising, but ah'll be fine." Tsukihi replied.

Raiya's smile turned into a stern, commanding expression. "Good, because you'll need to be in tip top shape to keep operations running around here while I'm gone. I am not sure how long that will be, but let's just plan on it being a while." She then turned her attention to the onlookers and everyone in the club. "So until I'm back, Tsukihi is acting leader of the Crux gang, anything she says goes." Raiya raised her voice for everyone to here.

Tsukihi couldn't believe what she was hearing. Not only was she not being punished for her failure but... she was being rewarded? "Ah-ah-ah-ah ah don't know what t' say." Tsukihi stuttered.

"You don't need to say anything. Just... don't make me regret it." Raiya said as she turned and followed Nemo.

"You better not be wasting my time." Raiya said threateningly.
"I was thirteen. And you most certainly are just as bad as once rumored, but there is something restraining you, holding you back. I just can't figure it out right now." Raiya shook her head, holding her sneer.

"What do you want, why are you really here?" Her glance briefly went to Tsukihi on the ground. Tsukihi's body fidgeted as she struggled to regain consciousness.
@Prodigal Son no no I get that. But arrogance and pride see him as just a man. Its logical to attack the strange new thing instead of believing him to be all powerful when he might not be

We all have to prove ourselves somehow.

Well, if you read between the lines it is possible to damage manaegis only with other mana infused items as well. So if you were able to enchant your blades they could damage the manaegis.
The idea of Felix, and really all arch-magi, is that he knows most there is to know about modern magic. And, the idea for the characters joining him is that they are supposed to be still learning. So Felix is, by all accounts currently supposed to be completely over powered.

Being an arch-magi is akin to being a professor/recruiter in Societas Academia, or a Witch Hunter in the Disciples. Which is why I restricted characters to not be able to be those last proficiency levels. Felix is supposed to be the guy who directs the team in what they do, while he sits back at base. He is supposed to be the mentor with the knowledge. And thus, the idea was for him to be exceedingly powerful.
