Raiya raised her right eyebrow, "A fucking pencil?" She questioned in disbelief, "Yeah right." She said. She looked down the sights of her pistol, the thing was fairly heavy and definitely cumbersome over a long period of extension. But this pistol had been through many different covert missions for the Yakuza, she didn't even dare to think of trading it out for something lighter. Even her Beretta wasn't her go-to weapon, that was simply something easy to conceal, to hold-out and surprise her enemy. Her USP was her favorite covert ranged weapon simply because it was the gun she had logged the most hours with. Though, she was still quite proficient with a number bladed projectiles and other such weaponry. You had to be to work for the Yakuza.
"I pretty much so guessed you were partial to those guns, considering that's what I've seen you use most of the time. I myself have never especially favored them over other weapons. I mean, I think the design is simple and smart. There's something to be said about the elegance of simplicity." Raiya explained, "I guess I am most partial to the weapons I have the most experience with. For instance, I know every bump, scratch, groove and detail of both my pistol and my katana. That doesn't mean I couldn't expand my armory, it just means I would have to put in a bit of time. And time doesn't seem to be something we have a lot of these days." She finished
There was some gunfire, it was so loud that it disoriented Raiya's finely tuned hearing for a moment. She suppressed her senses a bit so that she wasn't bombarded with an overload to her hearing and then she put her back flat to the wall and scooted over to the edge. She raised her left arm out above her head and moved it ever so slightly to the threshold of the cover the wall provided. She looked up at the kogatana as she did this to see the slight reflection in the small knife. It was a prone sailor with a bipoded machine gun. "Nah, I got this." She said confidently.
The sailor was about fifteen yards out by her estimate. It would have been an easy shot if she could enhance her senses or she if she could stand in front of the gunner for a moment. But she could make due with what she had.
Still using her blade as a mirror she began adjusting her right hand, moving the pistol ever so slightly up the wall as she angled the pistol a bit in a show of practice, prepping herself for the shot she was about to take. Her mind went into overdrive picking out the perfect angle to take the shot from. When she thought she was ready she took a deep breath, then exhaled. And then stuck the barrel of her pistol over the threshold, angled the pistol downwards and pulled the trigger in one swift movement. There was a small suppressed puff of a gunshot that could be heard from Nemo and Raiya's position but could not be heard by the gunman or anyone else that was in the vicinity. There was also an audible sound of impact and splatter as the shot Raiya fired found its way into the middle of the Sailor's forehead. A small red circle could be seen on the sailors forehead, the back of his head exploded outwards; his cranial contents forced out through a large hole in the back of what his head used to be. Pieces of grey matter and bone spattered all down his prone backside as well as the his companions who stood in horror at the realization that their friend had just painted them red.
Raiya took the few moments of shock they were experiencing as an advantage, instantly dropping down and rolling into a combat crouch out in the middle of the hallway. Without a large machingun suppressing her, she was free to now reign hell upon them. She moved her arms aiming her gun instantly at one on the left and pulling the trigger, and then dropping her aim and pulling the trigger once more. In a matter of seconds two men fell in lifeless heaps, one took a bullet to the eye, the other the throat and out the back of the spine. The last man on the right fired a few panicked shots towards Raiya, but she was already on the move. She pivoted and lept on the wall using it to push her up higher as she pulled the trigger three more times midair, the bullets finding their mark in the chest and lower abdomen of the last man. He crumpled down like the rest in a lifeless heap, wheezing out his final breath.
Raiya landed in a crouched position, but quickly straightened herself back into her combat stance. She turned her head back towards the wall where Nemo was, "Well? Let's get moving" She nodded in the direction of the dead bodies.
