Raiya raised her right eyebrow, "A fucking pencil?" She questioned in disbelief, "Yeah right." She said. She looked down the sights of her pistol, the thing was fairly heavy and definitely cumbersome over a long period of extension. But this pistol had been through many different covert missions for the Yakuza, she didn't even dare to think of trading it out for something lighter. Even her Beretta wasn't her go-to weapon, that was simply something easy to conceal, to hold-out and surprise her enemy. Her USP was her favorite covert ranged weapon simply because it was the gun she had logged the most hours with. Though, she was still quite proficient with a number bladed projectiles and other such weaponry. You had to be to work for the Yakuza.

"I pretty much so guessed you were partial to those guns, considering that's what I've seen you use most of the time. I myself have never especially favored them over other weapons. I mean, I think the design is simple and smart. There's something to be said about the elegance of simplicity." Raiya explained, "I guess I am most partial to the weapons I have the most experience with. For instance, I know every bump, scratch, groove and detail of both my pistol and my katana. That doesn't mean I couldn't expand my armory, it just means I would have to put in a bit of time. And time doesn't seem to be something we have a lot of these days." She finished

There was some gunfire, it was so loud that it disoriented Raiya's finely tuned hearing for a moment. She suppressed her senses a bit so that she wasn't bombarded with an overload to her hearing and then she put her back flat to the wall and scooted over to the edge. She raised her left arm out above her head and moved it ever so slightly to the threshold of the cover the wall provided. She looked up at the kogatana as she did this to see the slight reflection in the small knife. It was a prone sailor with a bipoded machine gun. "Nah, I got this." She said confidently.

The sailor was about fifteen yards out by her estimate. It would have been an easy shot if she could enhance her senses or she if she could stand in front of the gunner for a moment. But she could make due with what she had.

Still using her blade as a mirror she began adjusting her right hand, moving the pistol ever so slightly up the wall as she angled the pistol a bit in a show of practice, prepping herself for the shot she was about to take. Her mind went into overdrive picking out the perfect angle to take the shot from. When she thought she was ready she took a deep breath, then exhaled. And then stuck the barrel of her pistol over the threshold, angled the pistol downwards and pulled the trigger in one swift movement. There was a small suppressed puff of a gunshot that could be heard from Nemo and Raiya's position but could not be heard by the gunman or anyone else that was in the vicinity. There was also an audible sound of impact and splatter as the shot Raiya fired found its way into the middle of the Sailor's forehead. A small red circle could be seen on the sailors forehead, the back of his head exploded outwards; his cranial contents forced out through a large hole in the back of what his head used to be. Pieces of grey matter and bone spattered all down his prone backside as well as the his companions who stood in horror at the realization that their friend had just painted them red.

Raiya took the few moments of shock they were experiencing as an advantage, instantly dropping down and rolling into a combat crouch out in the middle of the hallway. Without a large machingun suppressing her, she was free to now reign hell upon them. She moved her arms aiming her gun instantly at one on the left and pulling the trigger, and then dropping her aim and pulling the trigger once more. In a matter of seconds two men fell in lifeless heaps, one took a bullet to the eye, the other the throat and out the back of the spine. The last man on the right fired a few panicked shots towards Raiya, but she was already on the move. She pivoted and lept on the wall using it to push her up higher as she pulled the trigger three more times midair, the bullets finding their mark in the chest and lower abdomen of the last man. He crumpled down like the rest in a lifeless heap, wheezing out his final breath.

Raiya landed in a crouched position, but quickly straightened herself back into her combat stance. She turned her head back towards the wall where Nemo was, "Well? Let's get moving" She nodded in the direction of the dead bodies.
Raiya followed closely behind Nemo, a bit adjacent to him so she wasn't pointing her gun at his back. Nemo stepped through the open hatch. "Well, I did already pull out my own gun so you can guess what I am going to be using for a bit." Raiya replied, "I could pretty much so care less what you use as long as you are competent with it. Raiya continued to follow Nemo through the ship's corridors, and had her pistol and kogatana extended out while keeping her senses sharp as they walked.

The ship was obviously old, which, Raiya assumed, was due to the fact that the Captain refused to retire her in favor of a newer one. It was probably mostly due to sentiment that the Captain continued to sail this ship, and Raiya understood this notion a bit as she adhered to the, "if it ain't broke don't fix it" ideology herself.

"I have fired a revolver before, it was an old single-action colt 45." She replied, "Why'd you ask?" She asked curiously.
Raiya materialized her H&K USP-45 ACP, the pistol itself was relatively normal sized, not too big not too small, but the suppressor extended the barrel an extra six inches making the pistol a bit ridiculous in length. She also materialized her sword, only taking the the kogatana (the small knife that had its own compartment on the much much larger odachi's scabbard) before dropping her sword letting it vanish back into her manainventory. She extended her arms out crossing them in an experienced militaristic fashion. She held her pistol in her right hand on top, and used her left hand with the dagger clenched in it below her right hand to support the weight of her right hand in order to make her hand more steady. "I only have one question," Raiya said, "Can you save some for me?" Raiya asked, nodding her head in the direction of the dead sailors.

Raiya was in her element, small confined spaces and fast paced action, this was what she was used to on a daily basis, it was what gave her a thrill and kept her blood pumping. 12 rounds in her magazine, one in the chamber, and her kogatana to pick up the slack, that was all she needed to bring down any normal threat that would come her way.
Raiya shrugged her shoulders at Nemo's discomfort of the term she used, "I didn't make up the term, the Romans did, so blame them." Raiya explained. "Any other Roman words I should know about that trigger you? Perhaps the word, "canon" and its origins as the Roman measuring stick gets your goat?" Raiya rhetorically taunted.

Raiya spent a bit of time with her eyes closed, introspecting a bit on everything that had happened recently. She took internal stock of her goals and her plan to implement them. After about 3 hours of this she heard some voices outside that snapped her out of her basic meditation. When Nemo opened one of the cases, Raiya hopped off of the boxes she was sitting on and opened a few of them to reveal smaller boxes of ammunition. "Oh you've got to be shitting me," Raiya cursed, "Well, what the hell do we do now?" She asked

Raiya thought about what Nemo said. Was it really true he wasn't born a talent? Raiya didn't know what she could trust when it came to Nemo. Nemo always said wild and outlandish things that mostly confused or angered her, and Raiya always just assumed that Nemo's reason for doing such was to illicit reactions. But this didn't seem like something with a reactionary nature, nor did it seem like he would lie about something like that. But it seemed impossible given the amount of mana Nemo currently possessed. If Raiya had a keener manalysis would she be able to see two mana wells? Or would it be just one? Raiya decided to take Nemo's word on the subject until she could ask Felix about it, she would have to remind herself to bring it up when they got back.

"I see... It's not only rare but extremely unique to see an untalent with the power you have." She said, implying she hadn't fully bought his explanation. But she left it at that, not bringing any further accusations out.

Raiya looked over to Travis who was using a rune to light the shipping container. He extended out a canteen of water towards Raiya. Raiya accepted the canteen and began to drink deep greedy gulps. "Thanks, Travis. I didn't really pack much for this mission. I'll make sure to bring a bunch of my own provisions next time." Raiya said after finishing the rest of the water in the canteen.

"Good..."Raiya seemed content with Nemo's response. Raiya was still feeling a bit thirsty so she decided to voice her discomfort, "Does anyone have any water or something?" Raiya asked, "I'm feeling a bit thirsty." she said.

Raiya watched as Nemo used his manadial to create a bit of manawave cloaking. Raiya didn't pretend to understand how the spell worked, but she trusted that Nemo knew what he was doing. Her mind went back to that previous conversation that they had about talent marks as she watched Nemo in the dimly lit shipping container.

"You said that your skin is not related to talent marks?" Raiya brought up, "How is that possible? Skin and eyes like that are not natural." Raiya pried.
Raiya ignored Nemo's comment about a man swallowing weapons. Isn't that just a sideshow attraction? She briefly thought before shaking her head. this is Nemo I am talking to... She remembered.

"Yes, the only scars I get to keep are these tattoos of mine." She replied as she walked into the container. She found a stack of boxes next to Nemo that she could use as a nice comfortable seat and sat down on it. "My healing factor certainly has its uses. And the shedding thing is oddly therapeutic" She nodded in reply to Nemo's comment.

"As long as it's matcha green tea and not that bagged manufactured crap." Raiya replied. "And you better have nice porcelain cups as well." She demanded. All this beverage talk was making Raiya a bit thirsty, but she didn't keep anything except alcohol in her manainventory. And she didn't think drinking alcohol on a mission with her newly recovered liver would be a good idea. So she just sulked quietly with parched lips.

"So, exactly how long is this going to take?" She said a bit impatiently, her thirst making her a bit impatient.
Raiya thought about the venom being used to tip bullets or cover blades. If it was expensive that would be one thing, however, the modified stuff, one small slip-up during combat and it could end up liquifying the user. She shivered momentarily at the thought.

Raiya nodded her head at Nemo's assertion that she had her own venom. "It's the iruzumi tattoo. My hebi enchantment gives me many snakelike qualities. I can produce a neurotoxin that paralyzes. I think I have already told you this, but I also have to shed my skin once a month. I actually shed it last week while you were off gathering intel. If I didn't I couldn't use my ultimate technique again." Raiya explained, "Unfortunately it also renews my body, even repairing my liver.
Which makes it more easy for me to get drunk again. So, I probably shouldn't have drank that much of that umeshu."
Raiya blushed briefly, "But it was surprisingly tasty, and when it comes to alcohol I can't really help myself." she confessed.
Raiya looked at Nemo as he dissolved the bodies. His haunting white visage was truly supernatural. Even the most dedicated of recluses and shut-ins could not achieve the purity of skin tone that Nemo had. Raiya definitely found it hard to believe that it wasn't the result of a talent mark. Though, she decided she'd tuck that discussion away for a time when they were alone and weren't preoccupied with infiltration or body disposal.

Raiya shrugged at Nemo's explanation of why their mission was still secure, "Well, if you say so. I still can't shake a feeling that something is off." Raiya explained, "By the way?" She asked, "What is that stuff you used to dissolve the bodies? And why don't you use it in combat?"

Raiya looked over to Travis as Nemo issued is compliment, "He certainly does have his uses. Perhaps he is even worthy to drink with us when this is over." Raiya said nonchalantly. That was probably the closest remark to a compliment Travis would ever get from Raiya.
