@daltar @Raineh Daze Accepted, add your character to the tab.

@thorgili I'll let you hammer out your sheet some more (such as adding the Important NPC), but so far so good. Give me a mention when you finished your sheet so I can give it a look over. BTW, here's the Unearthed Arcana for your Swashbuckler.

@Jordan @Jozarin While I'd be more than willing to let you guys join, due to the nature of the game, such as balancing and focus, I have a set limit of players. In this case, 6.

I forgot to mention, Feats are acceptable in the game. Also, the question is still in the air regarding if you all wanna start as a party or meet each other in an adventure.
Yeah, but no harm no foul. @Ariamis
Ask and ye shall receive, @Ariamis
"You're asking us to join you in hunting down this monster?" Gambol thought about it. "Well, you spared our lives and you guys have a lead on this monster. I'm not sure what the other hunter's response is, but I'm gonna say yeah."
Wrasslin' Minotaur ready.

Accepted. Feel free to put the sheets in the Characters Tab.
This part of the thread is for accepted characters only.

  • Name: Angus of Clan Longhorn/"Big Bison"
  • Race: Minotaur
  • Class: Fighter
  • Background: Gladiator
  • Personality Traits: I love a good insult, even directed at me.
  • Ideal: The world is in need of new ideas and bold action.
  • Bond: I would do anything for the other members of my old troupe.
  • Flaw: Won a match that was supposed to be rigged. The nobles want my head for it.

Important Stuff:

  • The Most Important NPC In Your life: The Ultimate Warrior, champion of the Circus
  • The One Goal You Wish To Achieve: Prove to those nobles that I'm king of the ring by wrestling a giant
  • Island of Birth: Gladius
  • Reason For Embracing The Sea: Where else am I going to find a giant to wrestle?
  • Backstory: Angus is a minotaur. There's really only one path for him- Gladius. He's wrestled in the Circus all his life, winning and losing matches and becoming stronger for it. He's met the love of his life and his best friend in the ring. The ring IS his life. So when some wealthy nobles from other islands thought they could rig a match to make money on the betting, they got quite angry when it turned out the matches weren't fake and Angus pulled a come-from-behind victory. So angry, in fact, that they chased him out of the arena with torches and pitchforks. Said nobles were certain that he had cheated. While the officials and regulars of Gladius knew him to be on the up-and-up, Angus was still deeply insulted. On top of that, the nobles were hiring people to harass patrons of the arena. Eventually, the Ultimate Warrior himself gave Angus the order: "Find the mightiest foe you can. They can not deny your might if they witness it firsthand." And so, Angus set out... in search of the match of the century.

Alright, all I need is the statted up character sheet and you're good to go.
Right, I forgot to bring this up. Our die rolling system will be Orokos unless there's another die rolling system people prefer.
Plot:
Long ago, when the realm was still young, the world had only one face to look at for protection, for comfort, for… literally anything they would ask out of a God. And it was a big, scary fish thing. In fact, it was a whole legion of scary fish things. These were called Aboleths, and they had controlled the minds of the people itself to convince them that they are the one and only God.

However, much like all stories involving false Gods, the real Gods took offense. Some wanted to free them, of course, but others wish to enslave them for themselves. Nevertheless, they realized that they had a common enemy. And so, for the first time in that realm, both good and evil Gods teamed up to liberate them from the threat that is the Aboleth Pantheon.

Due to how powerful these Gods are as a force, the battle took only forty days before all the Aboleths were banished to the Elemental Plane of Water. However, the Aboleths were huge fans of the saying “Take your ball and go home”. And so, they opened a portal and allowed the water to flow from the Water Plane over to the world they lorded over.

The result was the entire place being flooded. Everyone would have died had it not been for the last minute intervention of Ben-hadar, Elemental Prince of Good Water, who diverted the water away from most of the land. But the damage was done. The lands were no longer the same. What were once huge, dominant nations became small islands.

The Gods allowed the people of the realm to worship them as thanks for freeing them from the Aboleths’ mind control. However, there was still the scars it had. A century has passed since the Aboleth War. While humanity withered away and gave birth to a new, yet naïve generation, those who can live past a century could remember the scars and guide this new generation.

There was still the matter at hand: without the Aboleths to guide them and the Gods only assisting in the background, everyone had no idea what to do. Eventually, people created nations from the islands they were spared on. Some were made to bring law to a world without order, but others were made to revel in the chaos it created.

However, there was a massive sea to explore, and it is home to Pirates and Privateers alike. Your character is among these people. This is their story of how they survived this new frontier. Who will your character be? How will they cope with this new world? And would you accept the call of the ocean?

And lastly, for character sheets, post me a link to the sheets coupled with the template below:
  • Name:
  • Race:
  • Class:
  • Background:
    • Personality Traits:
    • Ideal:
    • Bond:
    • Flaw:
