Yay, just got back....again. My internet was constantly getting knocked out due to the harsh winds where I live. Living in the middle of nowhere is so much fun. To those in Grimm Studies, I'm going to try to get my post up and move the class along asap. I just have to confirm a few things with Forsythe first.
<Snipped quote by Awesomoman64> By installing twin-linked 20mm automatic cannons and several dozen missile pods on a wheelchair with monster-truck wheels.
I was thinking of a bit more subtle choice of weapon, but yours if fun too. As soon as I read that, I thought of a hybrid of Rambo and Prof. X.
Merlin nearly fell asleep as Prof. Port expertly told his story. He began to wonder if this is what people are like when they get old. Do they live so much in the past that they must always tell it to someone, or is it a way to get people to pay attention to them? Merlin pondered both scenarios in his head. He could understand both, the first would be that someone who has aged considerable may want to escape to the past that they have had, when they were younger and full of life. The second scenario is a lot more saddening. The person who has aged may feel like that life around them has begun to move forward, and they are not along for the ride; therefor, they remind those that left them behind that they still exist. Merlin didn't have such a luxury like living in the past. Just thinking about his past life made his skin crawl. He hated it, and he was going to make sure nothing like that would happen to him again. Merlin continued to think of things like this until Prof. Port finally moved away from the story and transitioned into a challenge to the newer generation. The prospect of fighting a Grimm in front of an audience excited Merlin. Without even giving it a second thought, Merlin raised his hand, leaned back, and waited for the teachers decision. "This ought to be a good show. The suspense is killing me, hehehe" He said with grin. He wasn't one to shy away from a challenge, and he also loved to entertain the audience. An opportunity that combined both of those aspects presented itself, and Merlin wasn't going to let it pass by without at least being considered for it.
<Snipped quote by Psyrencalling> I would consider it a new use. There are some semblances that have a lot of upgrade-able utility, like yours, and then there are those like Selective Sight that are already so specific that they can't be improved much without pretty much adding new powers. I would recommend sensibility. Happy to entertain.
Perfect! I will slowly turn my character into the Ultimate Magika Mage!!!!!!!!
There are so many things that I could upgrade with my semblance. I could increase the amount of runes on an item, increase the time duration of my Runes of Stillness and Runes of Protection, upgrade the utility and power of the runes themselves, and a lot more. You just gave a very indecisive man a lot of choices ...Is combining existing runes to create one super rune that shares characteristics of the prior runes considered a new power? EX: By combining the Runes of Explosion with the Runes of Freezing, you could either create a explosion that freezes everything in the blast radius or "Ice Mine" that freezes the object and the explodes when it is touched. I can see an argument for both the "discover new uses" path and the new power path. So I just want to get that clarified. ---P.S.---- I am now fully expecting my character to be called "Grass Head" from now on. That was a funny compariosn Lug XD
<Snipped quote by Psyrencalling> I want to do the Protesters one.
Yea. I was going to vote the Protesters one or the Underground Casino at the very bottom.
Team GJMM unite! We should really start thinking about what mission we want to go on.
Merlin quickly inhaled the last bit of food that was left in his tray in completely silence. He didn't find himself particularly interested in the conversations around him and found no real reason to interject any of them. He did, however, give a small smile as Ivan got 'told' and stormed out. Merlin looked at the time and found he had plenty of time left to meander about. He stood up, walked to a trash can, and tossed whatever inedible object that were left on his tray away. He then walked out of the cafeteria and took a nice walk. It had been forever since Merlin had been so relaxed. He let out a long sigh of relief. He hasn't really had anytime to relax lately. Nobody to blame but himself, he has spent many of his waking hours practicing and studying to enhance his abilities even farther. Combat isn't something that comes naturally to him, and he has to spend a lot of time theorizing, practicing, and implementing it. Merlin continued to live in his own head as he walk the grounds of Beacon. It wasn't until he heard the bell in the background, signalling the end of lunch, that he snapped out of it. He pulled out his scroll and searched for the name and location of his next class. "Grimm Studies, huh? Well, I hope there are live specimens for us to examine." He said with a hint of excitement in his voice. He then put his scroll away and zoomed off to his next class. He walked into the classroom and noticed that not everyone has arrived. This left quite a few open seats to choose from. Merlin gave off a small smile as he walked though the sea of desks. He decided to stop and sit at a desk that had two openings on both ends. He took off his cloak and laid it behind him. He then leaned back and waited for class to start.
...Were did my team go? :(
I'm here. I just got back last night.
I'm back! Gosh, I had the weirdest past few days. I miss anything big? --edit-- I have missed so much....So many missions.
