I have a chronic addiction to creating more and more characters until I overwhelm myself. I've now stopped myself from making 4 new separate characters. Help me.

@CoyoteLovely Maybe I myself don't want to escape it... But my job and my social life may not appreciate it. Oh well! I guess I have no choice but to keep roleplaying!

Getting back into RP'ing is like a black hole. You put one toe in and the next thing you know you've been sucked down into it with no hope of escape.

@Puffhead if I wanted to make a change, say to add to the personality or appearance, how would you edit that in the approved section?

All you gotta do is make an edit and post it here with a request to add it in the characters tab. I'll do the rest!

Now if you'll excuse me, I've been up since 6 this morning and need a nap. Be back in half an hour!
@Puffhead And me?

Hang up, I messed up my quotes. Gimme a second!

EDIT: I replied to your CS @Lady Selune but I totally quoted the wrong CS while doing so. My bad! You can look at the previous page to see my response. You're accepted!
Can Aiden have a pet? A dog, or a cat?

Of course! Although don't get too attached. The Riftlands are a dangerous place for an animal...

What do you think? Suggestions? Should I change anything?

Love the character! I don't think anything really needs changing, although I will edit the format a bit when I put it in the accepted characters tab. Otherwise it's great! Accepted!

As a note to all!

Now would be an excellent time to start discussing characters interactions with each other. Do they have history? How will they act when they meet? Did they fight with each other in the wars? Ect. Get creative!
My submission to this thing.

Looking good! I do wish that there was a little more information on him (some elaboration on character, personality, ect.) but since you've covered the basics and those things can always be explored in the Roleplay I think It'll work! Welcome aboard, and I'll add the sheet to accepted characters.

@A Lowly Wretch@Puffhead

Walter has some competition now. Also, Krag might be interested as she can allow him to use his powers for longer, and without him needing to eat.

Character Sheet

Ah, love it. A perfect 'rival' of sorts for Walter, and more importantly a powerful force to be able to rival the characters I'm currently working on (who I should be posting very soon.) She's accepted! I'll add her to the character tabs.

Okay, I started the IC ahead of time since I'm going to be busy later.

This is a prologue that takes place before everyone gets their powers. I'm certain that I established the scene, but all I want everyone to do is have their characters show up and interact a bit since I want everyone to establish their characters a bit first.

I'm hyped! I'll get a post up as soon as I'm able!
@Nymeria@superservo27

Oof, my apologies. I was at work (aren't full time jobs fun?) so I haven't been able to get to these yet. I'll be reading them soon!
Lurky lurker here... Now, not to try to accuse anyone of anything, but Walter is an incredibly powerful figure. Like, stupid powerful. Not only in his ability, but also influcnce.

Hello lurker! I don't think you're wrong, but I also don't think it's a bad thing! As this is a brand new world, we've yet to incorporate figures of power so having some figureheads is good! Now he may be too powerful, at which place we'll do some tuning, but I think where we're starting is fine. Also I am working on several CS's at the moment, most of which are influential leaders that will rival Walters control. So that should help!

Also, I'm very likely to make another Russian. An energy manipulator- so they can neutralise kinetic energy, cause all of the chemical energy in someone's body to go nuclear, speed something up to ludicrous amounts, or start a fire instantly.

Sounds interesting! Just make sure to add some limitation of sorts, just in case we run into the issue of "well my character could just instantly blow you up" sort of stuff.
Okay question: Would it be feasible for a Russian Rifter to have the power of density control? As in, she can control the density of inanimate objects that she comes in contact with as well as the density of herself, giving her the power to walk through walls or become essentially a concrete being?

Yes exactly! That kind of power is exactly what would be under the Russian Rift power set. ALSO, it would be quite a unique ability to work with! Sounds fun.
What year is this set in? It's pretty important to figure out what the rift is.

There is no direct year set, but just imagine it's somewhere around 2020 or so.
@Puffhead - Your answers were quite illuminating. Given how the Tradezone doesn't have any major parties vying for control of the area I'm thinking, with your permission of course, of having Walter control the majority of the Tradezone with a subtle yet powerful grip as a result of his years of trading & gathering resources.

After all, while the Stormlands might be a strong contender for control over food Walter can provide ample supplies of perfectly clean water and much, much more. The British rifters can't contend him in the fields of both medicine and vices as their rift's powers work with the more basic forces of nature while Walter's power allows him a far more complex manipulation of fluids.

On another note I've been thinking about your mention of Krag's involvement in Walter's business. Seeing as how Walter is keen to see trade go underway in a safe and pleasant environment if you'd like Krag would make an ideal peace officer. The role allows you a great deal of freedom since Krag can roam most of the Tradezone while on duty so long as he's keeping the area safe like he's paid to do. He'll have a stable job and a great excuse for getting involved in other people's plots.

Just a humble suggestion whilst I pass the time dwelling on character matters.

I was certainly thinking along those lines! And I would certainly allow Walter having a somewhat more impressive (although still subtle) control over the land. Makes for a pretty good dynamic!

Can I join? This concept sounds super cool and I'd love to play around with it.

Absolutely! In fact we're just waiting for two more people to join before the Roleplay officially starts (hopefully) on Saturday! So excellent timing! Let me know if you have any questions okay?
