I have a chronic addiction to creating more and more characters until I overwhelm myself. I've now stopped myself from making 4 new separate characters. Help me.

@CoyoteLovely Maybe I myself don't want to escape it... But my job and my social life may not appreciate it. Oh well! I guess I have no choice but to keep roleplaying!

Getting back into RP'ing is like a black hole. You put one toe in and the next thing you know you've been sucked down into it with no hope of escape.

Way unrelated: why'd you change your profile? you clod

Ahaha, because the bright yellow color was bothering me. Everytime I scrolled through a thread it would just pop out.
@Puffhead I have huge issues concentrating on two characters. I can only manage one character, at a time. I was going to make a synthetic human, created in a lab during the war, to be used in the war and infused with a Rift's energy, (therefor giving him a power.)

Mmmm yeah I don't know about that. See the Rifts only gave powers the first time the opened, and after that they don't seem to give abilities anymore. So if he was made in a lab during the war, the time to grant abilities would have been passed, especially since the Order can't figure out how the Rift granted abilities or how to harness it.

2 part question: (not making another character, just curious) do RussianRifters control temperature and how heavy can BritRifters make it rain? If the answer to these is yes and very heavy, Tropical Rainforest for BrazilRifters!

Both Russian Rifters and Britain Rifters would probably have the ability to effect temperature actually! And it depends on the Rifter. The most powerful is the leader, Ricardo, and he can cause storms to the point of creating hurricanes so... They can make it rain pretty hard, provided there's enough water in the air.
Could animals be affected by the rifts or only humans? Cause’, I mean, a dog with Rapid Cellular Regeneration sounds rather awesome.

As of now, I'm going to have to say no. Simply because of the fact that if animals could be affected by the Rifts, that would change how this world interacts a lot. Sorry!

@Puffhead

Ohhhh a snake hybrid! That's always fun! Everything here looks in order so she's good to go! Accepted.

@Puffhead I actually had another character in mind. I would need to ask you if it fits into the RP. If he does, I'd exchange Aiden, for him.

I don't know if you'd need to exchange him, you could always have two characters! But sure, what did you have in mind?

CS for the leader of the stormlands. Okay, okay, I'll stop making characters... for now. I have an addiction and I'm only slightly sorry.

@OppositionJ Accepted.

SIGIL & LOCATION ⫻ A strange symbol placed on the base of her neck.

ABSTRACTION ⫻ Eye of Providence, the ability to observe a specific location, and see abstract concepts.

ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION ⫻ Callie's abstraction has granted the ability to see which is unseen. This Abstraction comes in a variety of different forms, the main ability that Callie has access to is the ability to "observe." Basically, this ability allows her to visualize a location, and scry that location as if she was there. Gaining all that information in her mind's eye, she'll receive all the sights and sounds in her mind's eye. She can observe any location within ten meters of herself, and in any angle, she just needs to know about the location. This ability to observe has a few sub-powers. Starting with the ability to see into the minds of others, and read their thoughts - it works on a different level than telepathy, as it's looking directly into someone's mind. Callie will have to shift through thoughts to find the information she wants. If she wanted to, she could see memories, emotions, and things that have been forgotten. The other ability inherent to her Abstraction is the ability to see through the eyes of others; as if she was the person. She'd be considered a passenger, and be able to do nothing but watch through their eyes. It has a strange effect where the more Callie uses her ability, the stronger it gets. Her field of view will be expanded, and she'll be able to see clearly.

IN THE PRESENCE OF THE MOUNTAIN ⫻ Callie's power gets a significant boost. Starting with the ability to observe up to three separate locations at a time, and her range is boosted to thirty meters. This means she could, in theory, observe one location, see someone's mind, while also seeing through someone else's eyes. Callie gains the ability to see the unseen, things such as abstract concepts (the pain of a person, ghosts, auras, etc), and more. She can also see the future with intense amounts of concentration.

AURA SENSING ⫻ Callie's Abstraction renders aura reading redundant. However, she creates a passive effect that allows other people to sense auras much better, and increases their range up to fifteen meters.

LIMITS ⫻ The main limit to her ability is visualization, and prior knowledge. Essentially meaning that she has to be able to visualize the location she wants to see. Say if she wants to see her room; should be easy enough as she's familiar with the room. If she wants to observe a office she visited once, she's going to have a harder time visualizing it, and thus seeing into it. Other than that, she can only see locations within ten meters of herself, and only one location at a time (unless in the presence of the mountain). Callie's ability is naturally countered by things such as invisibility, and in addition, an Awakened can tell that Callie is observing an area due to the ripples that appear.

WEAKNESSES ⫻ Vision is a gift and a curse, while she can see more, Callie is extra vulnerable to the same things that would be a threat to her normal vision. Namely being bright lights, which are her absolute bane. In addition, observing a location removes Callie's ability to see through her own eyes (unless in the presence of the mountain, yadda, yadda), and thus makes her vulnerable to assault. Using the ability to see multiple places at once under the mountain's presence strains her mind greatly, along with overusing her abilities can cause an information overload where she sees everything at once.

Ohhhh... Her abilities are very similar to Griffins. Could be fun to play around with that one a bit.
I'm still considering a character, but I'm not 100% sure the idea I have is going to work well. I'll finish the sheet in the next day or two and we'll see.

Okay! I eagerly await! Just remember, I plan on starting the IC on saturday!
@Puffhead Yaaaas Nastasya will totally like Twilight. Although she has strange ways of expressing it.

Also, I think I want to make another character. What are we in need of? I haven't decided what gender or rifter my character will be yet.

Ahhh yes I can can see Twilight making quite the ally out of her... and also being a terrible influence!

As another character, I think for gender we're fine! We've yet to have many from the Wildlands, or the Stormlands, OR the Mystics yet (excluding my characters). The Russian Rift has been quite popular, I may have to close that's off to new characters.

AND

Thompson Lumber Inc.

"I'm gonna be perfectly honest with you man, I'm kinda surprised you wanted to come to this." Clayton Penrose's joking voice filled the night as he hopped over a nearby rotting log which had been left on the leafy ground for god knows how long at this point. "I mean don't get me wrong I'm sure you're wild at a party but... I just can't see you actually being at a party, ya' know?" A small chuckle emanated from his mouth at this while he glanced back at his new-found acquaintance.

"I uh... Well you're right, I'm not really the partying type." Griffin's much deeper voice responded as he simply walked around the log and shrugged his shoulders lightly. "But I just... I dunno. Got the urge to come. I've never been to any of these things and figured I would try to branch out."

"Heh. Yeah, right. You can just be honest and say you're trying to get laid. I understand." Came the taller mans clipped response while he searched the woods with narrowed eyes, trying to figure out exactly where he needed to go. The sun was already casting long shadows as it disappeared and left the woods beginning to become brisk with the night breeze. Admittedly it was already difficult enough to navigate as it was without the light now leaving their presence. As it was Clay was incredibly unfamiliar with this territory entirely. Even he didn't come towards the mountain often, as much fun as that might be. But no one would ever come with him to watch him do something fun here, so what was the point? Danger that no one see's is danger no one believes.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Believe it or not I'm not really into the bed-and-ditch strategy man. But you do you and I'll just enjoy the dancing." The answer was simple and honest, causing Clayton to gag somewhat.

"Geeze you weren't kidding when you said you didn't like to have fun. We've been hanging out for maybe a week and I can already tell you suck the life out of everything."

"I said I don't like to take risks! I like fun." Griffin sighed; his eyebrow raising slightly in irritation.

"Whatever, same thing. Look there it is!" The pairs eyes both locked onto the abandoned saw mill, where things were clearly already in full swing. It was clear Griffin was nervous about this but apparently this was Clayton's home turf as he began to strut forwards with confidence, heading directly towards the bouncer who Griffin vaguely recognized as a man named Hagan. At the moment he looked to be chatting up someone who Clay instantly recognized as Claire, a girl he hadn't had much interaction with but who had a definite 'reputation' he was sure almost everyone knew about. "Hey Hagan!" He called out with a large grin. It was obvious that Clay was already incredibly familiar with the party scene and that honestly came as no surprise to Griffin. The guy was always ready to do something stupid, and what else would cause you to do that than booze and music? "Mind letting some fella's in? Or is this chick causing you trouble?"

Ahhh and yet, they share common goals! He wants to unite the Riftlands, she wants to rule it... I think there could be an interesting 'allies but I hate you' type of thing going there!

Quick CS for the leader of the Hybrids! Maybe an ally for some certain Order hating folks?
