Miri hesitated for a moment, before nodding politely. "Well met. I must say, that is quite a...sophisticated weapon you have there. Almost looks like naaru tech," she says, mumbling the last sentence. She quickly sits in the offered chair and folds her arms onto her lap. "Your line of work is...something along the lines of a mercenary, I take it?" She flashes a brief smile before adding, "No need to confirm or deny if you'd rather keep it close to your chest, hm?"
The draenei continued her aimless, confused gaze around the area, before stopping at Jhin, glowing, pupilless eyes fixated on him. She dropped her gaze down to his gun, then back at his masked face. Briefly, her hands went up in a gesture of innocence. "I mean you no harm, sir. I'm a Priestess of the Light. I'm just a bit...lost. Apparently." Her eyes briefly leave Jhin's face, scanning the odd folks and various tech in the area. "I must be...worlds away. I didn't even think that gnome had that power, given his--" She shook her head, her short curtain of black hair flailing about. "Might I ask where I am? Where this...ah, tavern is?"

@KillBox
@KillBox You're getting my characters mixed up. :P I've already applied for Miri, about a month ago. The character you're thinking of is Floats-On-The-Breeze, who's a lizard-person-thing. I just put her app up yesterday. Miri is straight-up a draenei from Warcraft. Two separate characters.

Miri's application, and Breeze's application. Note that Breeze's app isn't accepted yet, as of this post.
Floats-In-The-Breeze

Name: Zeer'sha (or "Floats-In-The-Breeze" in the standard universal language)
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 86 lbs
Age: Young Adult
Race/Species: Xi'qe

Tier/Influence: 2 (local); a good sneak and somewhat skilled pickpocket and lockpicker, knows very, very simple magic.

Group(s): Unaffiliated

Appearance: The Xi'qe are, in short, humanoid reptiles with dinosaur-esque features. Some may have feathers atop their head, as if mimicking hair, while others may have horns in a variety of shapes and styles, and still others may have both. From the neck down, they appear completwly humanoid, save for their scales, which can range wildly in color from dark greens to bright yellows to toxic purples and vivid pinks.

Breeze is no different, with a series of six dull horns poking out from her brow to the sides of her heads, and about an inch and a half long, each. Pale, gray scales cover her body, with her throat and forehead being a lighter shade. Wide set yellow eyes sit on either side of a large, reptilian snout, complete with sharp teeth and a forked tongue, should one look inside her mouth.

Moving onto her body, she seems quite weak and fragile. Her tough scales and leathery skin may provide some protection, but her entire form is lacking quite a bit of meat. Her arms and legs are bony and thin, she's lacking any womanly curves to speak of, and her ribs prominently poke out against her skin.

As for her clothes, she's usually found in a simple dark linen tunic and matching pants, with no shoes to speak of. A small pouch is often found at her hip, looped around her waist tightly. Other than that, she has nothing else on her person, poverty clearly having taken it's toll on her.

Personality: Xi'qe live in a marshland world with a somewhat primitive, tribal nature. While they have towns and cities made from wood and stone, many rural areas have nothing but sticks and straw for their homes, and a government no more complex than a simple shamanistic tribe, consisting of a few shaman and a chieftain, with the rest of the tribe taking on the role of warriors, when the need arises. Despite their primitive nature, however, they're far from stupid, and have often reverse engineered more complicated debris from space that's happened to land on their planet, leading to a small number of "metal shapers" in some tribes.

Breeze is not one of those people, however. She's not smart, and she's not strong, but she survives off of her quick thinking and stealth...as well as sleight of hand. She deeply regrets having needed to turn to a life of thievery and crime, but doesn't regret the actions, themselves. Survival is her number one priority, and, while she may not enjoy killing someone, she would have no regrets doing so, if it meant ensuring her own survival.

Outside of her thievery, Breeze is often skittish and nervous, easily spooked by sudden noises or movement. She's easily intimidated, as well, and knows when it's best to flee than to fight. Her nervous disposition has saved her hide many times, but it also often makes her seem quite suspicious, which is not something a pickpocket wants.

Abilities, Talents, Traits, Powers:
  • ( 1 ) Sleight of Hand -- Breeze is a decent pickpocket, able to slide off rings from a dangling hand, steal gold pouches dangling from one's hips, or even simply steal someone's dagger when they aren't looking.
  • ( 1 ) Stealth -- Thanks to her thieving ways, Breeze has learned how to move quietly and avoid detection when sneaking around. Granted, there's still an element of luck and unpredictability involved, but she can still slink around quite well and, thanks to her narrow frame, can squeeze into tight spaces that most others wouldn't be able to.
  • ( 1 ) Aquatic Gills -- The Xi'qe people have gills along their neck to breathe underwater, and Breeze is no exception.
  • ( 2 ) Lightning Magic -- Having befriended a local shaman during her teenage years, Breeze has been taught the basics of lightning magic. She's not smart enough to make a living off of her magic, but she can discharge a bolt of lightning at about ten feet away to defend herself.

Items:
  • ( 1 ) Small Pouch -- A simple linen pouch sits at Breeze's hip, where she stores most of her ill-gotten loot.

History: A young girl was hatched in a small tribe in the middle of nowhere to a family of farmers. As is custom to the Xi'qe, she wasn't given a name until her twelfth birthday, so as to give the child a name that suits their personality. She was taught numbers and words by the village shaman during the morning, and helped her parents on the farm in the afternoon. Unfortunately, it was obvious from a young age that she wasn't going to be as strong as they had hoped, and she certainly wasn't smart enough to become a shaman.

On her naming day, her parents named her Zeer'sha, or Floats-In-The-Breeze, for her small frame and weak arms. A few years later, her parents disowned her, seeing her as unfit to continue their bloodline. She was still a member of the tribe, however, but had to make her own way in life. Breeze turned to petty theft to fill her belly, but was caught by a shaman one day, who offered to teach her magic in the hopes that she could fight for their tribe that way. While she did get the basics down, the shaman, too, grew increasingly frustrated with Breeze's slow progress and difficulty with abstract, arcane concepts, before giving up on her entirely.

Having nobody left to turn to for assistance, Breeze left her village and wandered off into the marsh. She managed to survive for a month, though barely, by forgaing for food and hunting small animals, but it was a miserable existance, and Breeze yearned for something better. One day, a loud crash woke her up, and, after investigating, she discovered a pilot that had crash-landed in the marsh. She directed him toward her tribe to get a metal-shaper to help him, though only if he would take her off of this planet with him. He agreed, and a few weeks later, the pair departed.
A shimmering, blue wormhole suddenly tore open near one of the far walls of the tavern's main room. Through it, a rather primitive looking city of stone and wood sat, but a large, feminine figure suddenly blocked the view as she stepped through.

The woman was certainly something more exotic, with deep blue skin, curved horns sprouting from her head, and digitigrade legs that end in hooves. Short, black, bob cut hair framed a round face with pupil-less eyes glowing a bright white. Turn her skin red and make her eyes black, and she could pass for something demonic, but with the kind face and soothing color scheme, she looked far from evil. And there was also the matter of her weight...

To be blunt, this particular whatever-it-is was clearly used to a sedentary lifestyle, and then some. Her silvery robes kept her chest and hips covered, yet left her rounded middle completely bare. She's either in denial, or shameless, and, quite honestly, it's difficult to tell.

The look on the blue-goat-thing's face spoke volumes. "Wait, this isn't Ironforge..." She glanced behind her to the wormhole, just in time to see it snap shut. "...Right. That's the last time I buy discounted portals." She quickly turned back around and gazed about the strange tavern.
Here's a thought. Why don't you make the thread a "Jump-in", with or without biographies as you prefer, and just roll with whatever happens?

Advertise it here in a nee interest check and away you go.

Made the thread, but no replies so far. :T And with how fast the board goes, my post keeps dropping to, like, the fourth page.

Here's a link for those that are interested, I s'pose.
Bump? Anyone interested? I've just been itching for some Warcraft RP for a while.
The Drunken Hozen stood on the western hill of Dawn's Blossom as a monument to the pandaren's love of ale. A large, round door, cut vertically into a double-door, stood ajar for thirsty travellers, the sound of laughter and clanking mugs still very loud, even at the late hour. Most of the patrons were pandaren, of course, with a few odd hozen and jinyu, but after the Alliance and Horde reached their shores many years ago, one could find orcs, dwarves, trolls, gnomes, and many, many other types drinking and laughing with the others.

Among them was a lone draenei, practically collapsed against the bar at the back of the tavern, attempting to sip at her mug without lifting her head up, yet trying not to use up too much energy in doing so. It was a very difficult balancing act, trying to be lazy without putting too much effort into it.

Despite how most of her kind tended to look, though, the draenei had a very plump figure, and didn't even seem to be hiding it; her silver robes kept her midriff completely bare. Most of her weight, however, seemed to sit in her chest, which was currently resting on the bar, which just made the whole struggle of trying to keep her head down while still drinking from her mug all the more difficult...

Feel free to jump in, but please do read this bottom bit beforehand. I'm not going to go full Lore Nazi, but I do want to try and abide by a few rules.
1) Common sense. You guys know how to roleplay. Don't not roleplay well.
2) Horde, Alliance, and other are all welcome, with the obvious exception of Always Chaotic Evil races, such as nerub'ar, naga, sha, etc.
3) Keep the (physical) fighting out of the tavern or you will be escorted out by the guards. Bickering is fine, just don't cause a scene. Just so I know you've been reading this, have your character sigh somewhere in your first post. I won't kick people out if they don't read this, but ignorance of the rules is no excuse for breaking them. Beside, it's all pretty common stuff, right?
5) Feel free to DM any minor characters, including the barkeep, but leave the guards be. I will only DM the guards if someone's disrupting the scene.
5a) You are not stronger than the guards. They exist to keep the peace IC, but also to make sure the scene runs smoothly OOC. Respect that.
6) Keep it to a PG maximum, maybe a soft R. You can say fuck if you want, but please don't suddenly start turning this place in Goldshire, 'kay?
7) Color-coding each person's dialogue is a nice way of making things easy to read, but is by no means mandatory. Just a suggestion. :)
8) Try and post a brief description of your character in your initial post, or at least link to a reference pic. Not required, but still kinda helpful.
9) You no take candle.
Is this a one on one type of thing?

No, hence the "small group" tag. If it was going to be one on one, I'd use the "one-on-one" tag. :P
