Liam Matthews
Liam definitely didn't make an effort to avoid Aloise leading him out of the church. At that moment, getting away from the Devil, as far away as possible, was the best thing he could have been doing. He wasn't sure how exactly they could deal with this, fighting the Devil didn't really seem like something they would be able to do, but he wasn't the specialist in dealing with the supernatural. He figured, or at least hoped if there was any way to fight the Devil, or to lock him back in his cage, Aloise would know it. How true that was, he didn't know, he may never have known, but it was a hope.
For now, Liam focused on running, staying as close to Aloise as he could, wherever she led him, he figured it would be better, safer than the church was. It was a fight to not let dread set in, this was literally the end of the world after all, it wasn't an easy thing to do, to find some way to be optimistic and hope that things would work out in the end, without him dying horribly.
Darren Andrews
Moving to the side of the door as everyone began to sprint out of the Church, Darren kept a firm grip on the blade in his hand. As Seraphina ran out and spoke to him, he did consider her words. What he was doing probably was suicide, but he wasn't sure if there'd be a better opportunity to take Satan out, and if he didn't manage to do that, well, they'd just all die anyway. Taking a deep breath, he watched as the others moved off and turned his gaze back inside, focusing on Satan as he watched Jade, pleased that the Devil was more focused on her for now as he moved into the church as carefully and quietly as he was able.
He clenched his fist around the angel blade as he moved carefully. Whether or not he'd die there wasn't something he was considering anymore, in his mind, now that Satan was around, it was do or die anyway. If he didn't die here, he'd just die later, far more helpless and having missed the opportunity. When he was close enough, he put all his effort into the stab, lunging forward to try and force the blade through Satan's back, and hopefully right through his, or, well, whatever counted as his heart.
Javier Crypt
Resting in his wife's arms, Javier let his eyes drift up toward her at her comment, smiling somewhat. "Ah yes, I do believe your dress is still stained red." He grinned as he 'sat' there, turning his gaze over to his daughter as she crushed his body's fingers. "Darling, try not to break too many of your father's bones, it's always a pain when I get the body back." He asked kindly as she moved off and upstairs, getting her equipment to go and do something. He gave a proud smile from where he was in Belladonna's arms. "They grow up so fast, no? Now dearest, do you think you could work on putting my head back on?"
