Liam Matthews
Location: Outside the Church
Interacting With: Aloise Zamora
@Morose
Still running with Aloise, Liam found himself brought to something of a standstill as the air began to clear miraculously. He took in a deep breath of what felt like fresh air for the first time in a while, turning his gaze back toward the Church. Nothing came out of it, no devil chasing them all down to bring death to them and the world around them all. Momentarily, he thought back to the moments he'd been sprinting out of the church, and he recalled for a moment seeing a few people enter, had they fought Satan? Or, more specifically, had they actually won?
He waited a few moments longer, and as still nothing came from the church, Liam let curiosity get the better of him. Moving closer, he kept his eyes on the church as he peered inside the door from a distance. Amy Chang wasn't standing there any more, just a woman in her place, holding a blade, and another man on the ground, clutching at his chest. It really was all over, somehow, miraculously, someone had managed to kill the devil, and, well, save the world. For the first time in a while, Liam smiled properly, turning back toward Aloise as he chuckled, mostly in shock.
"So... What now?"
Javier Crypt
Location: Crypt Manor
Interacting With: Belladonna
@Morose
Smiling warmly to Belladonna, he shuddered somewhat at the feeling of his exposed nerves and muscles being set down, it was always an odd feeling which he'd never quite gotten used to. Once his head was secured back atop his shoulders, he smiled as she began to work on stitching it all back together, chuckling softly at her question.
"Mayhaps, dear, I believe the eye of newt is on the bedside table, so good for a sensual massage, no~?" He almost purred with a grin, turning his eyes to the side to watch his daughter as she pulled out her ouija board.
As Belladonna went off to collect the right tonic, Javier struggled for a moment or two to remain balanced on his shoulders, but managed not to fall to the floor before she got back and set to work. The stitched each set a pang of pain through him, but it was nothing worse than their usual nightly routine, he almost enjoyed the feeling as his head was properly re-attached.
"Thank you dearly, mi amor."
Darren Andrews
Location: The Church
Interacting With: Jade Cornish, Satan
@Morose
Darren had, for a moment, closed his eyes when he stabbed, having not expected to be even remotely successful. But he felt the blade hit flesh, a burst of hope rushing through him as he pulled his head up, eyes shooting open. But he was not met with a welcome sight. Eye-to-eye with Lucifer, his gaze turned down to his hands, seeing that the devil had taken the blade in his hands. Momentarily dread ran through him, and he was unable to fight against Lucifer ripping the blade from his hands. In an instant, his life flashed before his eyes, and less than a second later, he let out a gasp as the blade sunk into his heart.
Falling back to the ground, he breathed weakly and clutched at the wound as he crawled back, blood pooling below him as he looked up to Lucifer, in time to see the blade stick through his back before he too fell, Jade standing behind him. Though he knew his time was up, and due to the deal he'd made to bring Jade back, his fate was sealed, Darren couldn't help but smile. He may have been dying, but he was dying doing ultimately what was his greatest effort as a Hunter, he'd played a major part in preventing the end of the world, Lucifer was dead, and on a personal note, at least in his mind, Jade would live.
He heard her words, and let out a soft chuckle, blood gurgling up as he coughed it out onto the floor, leaning up against one of the pews as he watched her, shaking his head.
"It's alright..." He said weakly, feeling as life began to flood away from him. Taking a few moments to breathe, he rested against the pew, watching the body of Lucifer as he spoke up again.
"Jade... Hell isn't that bad... Right?" And just like that, he was gone, his head went limp, eyes dim as the life left his body, his story ended.
