Personality: A good man at heart, Adam always tries to do what he believes is right, and when he is able, he tries his best to help people in need. While in his old line of work he tended to be surrounded by bad people, usually filled with greed, he always tried to do what he knew was best not just for himself, but for everyone around him. Unfortunately, his desire to do good usually pushes Adam to act without thinking. In most cases, he disregards danger to himself, and often fails to think about the consequences of his actions and how they affect others, so long as he believes what he is doing is right.
Witting, and with a strong sense of humour, Adam is generally able to find the bright side of any situation. From dumb puns and jokes to a general dry and sarcastic wit, Adam generally makes an effort to brighten up any situation. As much as he would like to deny it, Adam doesn't know when to quit in most cases, through so long in his old line of work, he's developed an inability to know when things are going too far, and has developed a kind of greed which he can't kick. Once he's started something, especially a hunt, he can't stop himself until it's complete, regardless of anything.

Born to a pair of archaeologist parents in Springfield, Illinois, most of Adam's young life was spent overseas, accompanying his parents on digs and expeditions. As a result of this, from a young age he developed an interest in history and myth, and even as a child, to the chagrin of his parents, he often was sneaking off to their dig sites in search of little treasures of his own. Always an explorer, he insisted on going with his parents everywhere, being homeschooled as a result.
However, when Adam was fourteen, his parents were tragically killed in an accident, trapped in a collapsing tomb on one of their digs. After this, Adam was sent back to the United States, spending the last few years of his 'childhood' in an orphanage. He became restless while he was there, always studying more and more, inspired by his parents lives and their 'sacrifices'. Shortly after he turned eighteen, he caught up with one of his father's old friends and colleagues, who helped Adam on his first hunt for treasure, his search for El Dorado, the famed city of gold.
During their hunt, they met the woman who would grow to become one of Adam's closest friends and allies, she joined the two on their hunt, and after a long and grueling expedition, they finally reached El Dorado, only finding the city to be cursed, and subsequently destroyed when they attempted to take any of its treasure, barely escaping with their lives. However, this was only the first of their journeys and hunts, unsatisfied, they soon set out on another, this time with the mythical hanging gardens of babylon in their sights.
While on their hunt, Adam and his partner found themselves challenged, faced with the challenge of a group of crazed terrorists, hell-bent on reaching the gardens and using some hidden power there to their own benefit. Despite the overwhelming odds, Adam and his partner managed to make their way to the gardens, uncovering the very power their challengers spoke of, with no choice but to again destroy it and the gardens themselves to stop it from being used for evil.
For some time, the two friends took a break from their adventures, having earned enough to relax for a time. Although this time, the adventure came to the two of them. His father's old contact and partner eventually contacted Adam with a lead to a prize which could not be ignored - the lost city of Atlantis. Adam and his partner set out again, a long and arduous expedition ahead of them, challenged this time by his father's old colleague, who instead sought to claim the fame of the discovery for themselves.
Eventually, Adam and his partner once again lay eyes upon the mythical and lost undersea city, deep beneath the Pacific Ocean, but for them there was no treasure, instead all they found was the cities guardian, the Kraken. While the two were able to avoid it, their challengers sought to pick a fight with the beast, and in the ensuing chaos, the underwater city was again destroyed. By now, Adam and his partner had still accrued quite a fortune from their small treasures gained on their journeys, and mutually decided to finally put their journeying behind them, and settle down.
Buying a place to stay together, the two friends found work and put their old lives behind them. Despite his lingering wanderlust and relative dissatisfaction with a 'normal' life, Adam has made every effort to keep his promist to his friend, turning down many opportunities which have come along, prizing the safety and happiness of his own friend above his own personal wanderlust.
