Harry sighed as he stood with Aziza, he noticed as she brought her finger to her lips, signing for Josephine and Haakon to hush their conversation. Casually, his eyes glanced from Aziza then to the Lord-Major and back to Haakon, he had to admit that the growing tension in the group, particularly between the journalist and a few other members of their party, had begun to grow into something of a concern for the retired soldier. In his experience, such rifts, minor or otherwise, only tended to grow more and more rather than resolving, and they could tend to mean life or death for a group in danger. They may not have been heading into a warzone, but there was an unmistakable danger about the events they were involved in, in Harry's eyes, it simply had not come to a head just yet.
Shaking the thoughts from his mind, Harry was returned to the present events as he finally saw the Medic come into the room. He didn't know the man, something he was pleased about in all honesty, since returning to Egypt Harry had often wondered about the possibility of running into one of the men he'd served alongside, and he wasn't entirely sure such a reunion would be a welcome one, it would still be rather raw. Watching as the man moved down to Vera and helped her up to her feet, Harry took a step back to give her some more room, unable to help but raise an amused eyebrow as the man began to insist that William, of all those there, be the one to carry Vera off to the sick bay.

Sighing as he looked down at Vera, William's gaze drifted back and forth from Vera and Lauren as she held the bottle in front of Vera's face. While the silence in the room was broken by Vera's soft voice, William was too far away to hear clearly what she had said in her soft whisper, leaning closer for a moment before she suddenly slid back and sat up, rather quickly recovered from her faint status as she sat on the floor. His attention was ripped from her before he could say or do anything, spotting the Medic as he came in through William's peripherials. For now, William chose to remain quiet as he watched the man come closer to check her out, crossing his arms over his chest as he waited.
His gaze did catch hers as she briefly looked in his direction and then suddenly away, but he made no comment in regards to it. He found it odd that she looked so quickly away, perhaps she knew how angered, frustrated or annoyed by her relationship with Peter he was. Perhaps she knew but didn't care, she could have been intentionally trying to make him jealous as some sort of mockery, the gall! As the medic spoke up again, William's attention was dragged away again, his eyes focusing on the man as he raised an eyebrow, taking a moment or two to understand what he was asking of him.
William watched and listened as Vera insisted against it, saying she could walk, that she'd be fine, but still the Medic persisted. But why should William help? He was just a bystander now, he owed her nothing, for all he knew, Vera was quite possibly doing this with the intention of irritating him. No, he would not help her, he was his own man, he did not need to cow-tow to the likes of her, merely for the chance of being near her agai-.
"Well, you heard him, doctor's orders." His mouth ran ahead of his brain, moving closer as he swept Vera off her feet, lifting her up as he started to carry her along after the medic.
