Alice could hear the commotion others were causing fighting in other areas, but she held her ground. One of the bandits fell to an arrow, so she knew that at the very least she wasn't a target... yet... Her thoughts were interrupted as a pair of axes glanced off of her armor. They were quick, but not quick enough. She managed to catch one in the chest with her lance as the other tried to get at her again. The berseker shot bolt upright, his body twisting and rippling as saliva dripped from his jaws, a crazy light burning in the depths of his eyes. He tossed his body forward with a demented roar of pure fury, smashing the axe that he held toward the least mobile of his two targets, the fiflthy whore who had betrayed him and the king. Alice barely had time to react as she raised her shield to block the blow from the beserker. It was a good thing that she did to, as she slid back several feet from its force. "this is going to be a pain. you know? you've got a bit to much power for my liking." Alice said, although the beserker seemed to ignore her. In the moment of reprieve she swapped out her lance for her axe. Even as skilled as she was with it, she needed at least an even playing field with this brute. A quick glance at her shield showed little sign of damage other then a decent dent. with a shrug she braced herself for the battle to come.
I'll have a post up in the morning-ish.

@Nerendier, I'd think that the ceremonial idea would work well 0: Alice would most likely remember, yet would likely be remembered lol

Hmmm... It might make an interesting scene to have Hark and Alice meet.

indeed :O i havent thrown up another post as of yet due to recent events in the alleyways XD but i might have a few bandits down and probably a bit of a quarrel with the beserker
Alice watched from the rear of the bandit force, her lance in hand. She was out of sight and out of mind as far as the bandits cared. However she was ready to strike when she had her chance. She watched the bandits begin to take control until people began fighting back. its was a fairrly close fight, with both sides gaining little control.

"All right, you scum! Go get some hostages, we can't have killed 'em all yet! That'll make sure these fiesty assholes don't come and fight back, yeah? Kill 'em, break 'em, mash 'em, boys! Everything is gonna BURN!"

Alice's eyes snapped to the bandit leader, doing her best to stay back and out of the way until the opportunity presented itself. But as soon as he took a young woman and her daughter, laughing maniacally at their tear-stained faces, she lost it. Seemingly from nowhere Alice appeared running at full speed, slamming into the beserker and knocking him down and away from the woman and her child.

"Oi! your s'posed ta-" one of the bandits started before being silenced with a spear to the throat.

Alice stood still, breathing heavily. the tackle had taken a good bit of her strength and she could already tell she cracked at least one rib. "Your a beefy bastard aren't ya?" she called out to the beserker. She hopped he was going to be down for a least some time. She had the eyes of all of the other bandits on her, and she was right in the middle of them. Hefting her shield and readying herself, she waited for the fight to come to her.

Alice woke before sunrise, her head aching a bit. a quick drink of water and it was on its way out. It took her all of fifteen minutes to get ready, donning all of her armor and weapons. Fully satisfied that all was well and strapped up proper Alice left for general Issac's war tent. On her way she ran into a small group of soldiers who were actually up on time and eating. they gave her a warm greeting and invited her for a morning meal. seeing that the sun was still barely on the horizon she gladly accepted. A full belly was a welcome thought before dealing with more planning. While they ate they talked and joked around enjoying the quiet and the warm food. Glancing at the sun again Alice bade the soldiers a farewell and a thanks as she resumed her way to Issac's tent.
Upon arrival she noticed that the bandit had managed to show up before her.

"Ah, Commander Alice. You're finally here. Now let's get on with it." Isaac said as she entered.

"Why's the wench here, General?" The bandit captain drawled, lazily picking a finger through his teeth. "You givin' us a minder?"

it took a good bit of willpower to hold her tongue as the bandit dug himself a grave. Issac's quick words however gave her a bit of relief. Having to watch them, however, was going to suck.

The bandit scowled, spitting on the ground. "This is shite. We don't need no bloody woman watching our ba-" the bandit couldnt finish as General Issac made sure he position was clear. Had he not, Alice was about to. The bandit gave up and agreed, and left shortly thereafter.

"Commander Alice, your assignment is to make sure none of those bandits make it back to camp alive." Isaac said blithely once the bandit captain was out of earshot. "The village is guarded by a mercenary company. Do whatever you can in your power to make sure those men get themselves killed. Bring along a few soldiers from your squad as well, in case the fools try to mutiny. Should the bandits actually win, you and your men will finish them off as they're busy looting. And one last thing: keep quiet about this. It won't end well for either of us should the king discover that we got his favorites killed on purpose. Understood?"

Alice gave a curt nod. "Aye. Ill make sure that they die. I've no want of them here any more then you do sir. And you'll not have word spread of it. One question however, Do i have leave to do as i see fit when it comes to the mercenaries?"
I'll post when I'm home 0:
