Who is the fate talking to?
Kael listened to the conversation between the teacher and the techno god, interested about the question the teacher was asking. He spoke up confidently:

"If we have no powers of our own, we are as our followers, helpless. If it turns out that we have no powers, it is up to us to find a new way to survive. By using our talents, we can survive."

When he said this though, he began to delve more into his own personal cache of questions he had been asking himself. Why would they ask this question?

He remembered that the teacher had asked him a question about why he made his weapon. He once again spoke in a clear, concise manner.

"I made my weapon, based on my expertise of smithing, something taught to me by my father. I wanted to challenge myself by making something of practical use, but could split into more weapons so I can defend myself."

(Sorry for the short post. I can't really think of what else to say.)
Kael frantically started to search the ground, hoping to find the leaf. It was one of his greatest possessions, something given to him by a friend. Someone who actually took notice of the boy-- He stopped that thought, not wanting to stay in the past. He picked up the leaf and put it into his pocket. Now, he could go relax. He began to walk into the building, hoping to go to the roof, but remembered he had no snacks.

He turned himself from his direction and moved into the cafeteria, which smelled like dry paint and chemicals. His nose began to flare as the odors began to overwhelm him. He moved his arm to cover his nose, hoping to die soon. He moved his way outside, breathing in the fresh air and all natural. Kael amazed at the stupidity of mankind and those who were unable to understand Nature. Sighing, he began to move his way back to the garden, where he hoped to find something sweet and also bitter.
Damn the double posting to hell!
I will be busy over the entire weekend. I will see what I can do to post during the night as I'm at a convention from morning till night.

Eye,Eye.

Also, there is a reason why he is so worried if asked later in team discussion or whatever. It is in his past, like my first post.
After the shot from the rifle, Kael felt most of the weight on him start to disappear as the chickens started to disperse. It was over!! He had fallen over, due to the imbalance caused by the sudden mass change. He looked up to see a figure in a cloak, holding a hand out. He got himself off the ground, brushing the dust off his hoodie. After he got most of it off, he looked back up and grasped the hand, shaking it for a second before letting go.

"Tha-Thank-Thanks for the he-he-hel-hwl-help." Damnit! Another attack on his speech! Hopefully, whoever it was did not think him a moron. "I swear, it was not my fault." He shoved his right hand into his pocket, searching for the leaf to make sure it was not crushed and that the berries were still intact. What he found though was a gaping hole on the inside of his pants where one of the chickens had pierced though it. He began to breathe much harder and he began to search everywhere on the ground, where he began to mutter:

"Where is it?! Not now! Why now?!"
Also, I will be posting Kael's response in a few hours. Need some sleep right now.
