When the lazy bum is the firs to show up for bandit killing duty, things are bad amongst students.

Speaking of the bandits, is our goal to simply drive them out, or is maiming/killing allowed? I assume not, but it's something that needs to be asked for some of us *coughcoughweaponuserscoughcough*
The previous afternoon had dealt mostly in pain after she'd left the spiced ramen for her roommates. Punches and kicks were thrown at trees, branches were snapped as she yanked too hard into a pull up, legs gave out when she ran too far too hard. Once, she fell from her perch when she had been hanging upside down doing some crunches. All in all, the day had not gone as well as it could have, but she got her pain's worth out of it. She crawled into her room in the wee hours of the night, at least an hour past midnight, covered in bruises with knuckles scraped and smelling of river water from where she'd washed off.

Which meant that she did not sleep well that night, and hardly at all, managing to toss and turn and crack her tired eyes open every couple of hours. When the dawn came, Kaori was a miserable wreck, and only got up because it wasn't possible for her to sleep in and ignore class. The Headmaster as made a mandatory class trip to clear out some bandits from a nearby village. While a noble cause, Kaori was not particularly eager to stick her neck out for strangers on a normal day, much less one where she was running on four hours of sleep.

Dressed extremely relaxed, Kaori showed up in a white button up shirt who's sleeves barely covered her upper arms, and a pair of white pants. Not the best bandit beating clothes, but her formal clothes for class were for class only, and she refused to sully the monk gi on such a task. And when she showed up, managing to be the first in, her eyes narrowed in great annoyance. Giving a curt greeting to the Headmaster, Kaori found herself a spot, nestled between the roots of a tree, leaned against the trunk, and let herself doze off expression managing to stay in one of irritation even as sleep took her again.
Kaori visibly winced at the term "chan" being used with her name, but did not say anything on the subject. After listening to Victorica's spiel and the boy's stammering, Kaori sighed and rubbed her forehead. Why did she have to get stuck with these two, of all people? One hadn't even come to class, and the other had done worse than she had at walking on the wall and ceiling. A sigh escaped her as she rubbed a temple, then said, "I can assure you, Hikaru, that I will not kill you in your sleep, and I doubt that Victorica will either." No humor there, apparently. "Still, though, I do not quite like the thought of sharing space with someone of the opposite gender. Just promise that you'll mind yourself, alright?"

Without waiting for a response, Kaori bowed to them both and went out of the room, leaving Victorica and Kaori alone to do whatever it was that they would be doing. In the dorm's kitchen, Kaori began to rattle around, eyebrows furrowed as she began to work. Another deep breath left her as she worked. The others of the class were... somewhat impressive, at least a couple of them were. But were they actually good enough to be here? Was she? Doubts began to go through her mind, causing her to slow down her onion chopping for a few moments. Anyone who went in and saw here would see her eyes unfocused, her attention elsewhere as she continued to cook. The fire below the pot was hot and the water boiling, so she began to pass in the ingredients.

Sure, she was strong. Anyone who could see her without her clothing would know that. But with the performance she'd put on today, they were all convinced that she was one of the weaker ones in the class. But just by her being here, they knew something was up. But that did not mean much, when she thought about it. Many adult fighters would easily outclass her, and she figured that the monks of her former temple could overpower her in just a few moves, even though she'd learned many of the ins and outs of two of the Monkey Styles, and the basics of a third. With a grunt, she threw the last of the ingredients into the pot, and began to stir, the smell now sifting gently into the other room. Her grip on the wooden spoon tightened, causing it to groan underneath her. Even if she pretended to be weak and clueless, she would train harder than the other students. As soon as she was done here, she was heading out into the yard to work, regardless of what the others wanted of her. She glanced towards the door into the living room, listening in for the others, while adding some spices into the mix. But, impressions and all that. She'd leave them with something nice to eat while she was out.
"Okihika Hanzō: "Oh crap...This guy is the Headmaster?! After I showed up late, he seemed a bit...disgruntled? Annoyed? Ah man, I made a horrible first impression on him! The guy seems like a strict and hard teacher, too! Aw man, I gotta be careful in this class!"

I think there might be something a tad bit off here.
I'm more or less waiting on Otomos to post again before going so as he not to leave him in the dust. Deadnaut usually tries to wait for several people to post before going again. We may just all be waiting on each other to do something.
Don't worry, you've got a pair of friendly Kurai to help you git gud.
Kaori's mind wandered. The monks had taught her more than just combat. Meditation calmed the nerves and brought peace to the mind and soul, if done properly. It also allowed one to become more in tune with the world around them. The young monk's breathing was low and deep, almost as if she were asleep. Her aura didn't show, but it was clear that her energy was flowing in a much calmer manner than before, moving slowly through her. It was this state of serenity and mastery of her own body that she was able to notice something different in the room after several minutes. Her ear twitched, the first sign of movement since she'd knelt down, and focused. Yep, someone else was in the room. Rather close, considering she could hear the breathing. Her brows furrowed and her eyes slowly opened when--

"HELLO, ROOMMATES!"

Hikaru's loud entrance caused a squeal to come from Karoi as she recoiled, fast, and fell backwards, legs still pinned beneath her. She laid on the ground for a moment, glaring at the ceiling for a good long while, wriggling her legs until they finally popped out from underneath her, the wooden sandles barely sticking on her feet. With that done, she began to push herself up off the ground, sighing, taking in her two roommates. A girl she hadn't ever seen before, and the boy who had nearly broken his neck trying to walk up the wall. Perfect. Wait, wait, hold on... Guys were going to room with girls here? Not even the monks allowed that, and most on both sides usually swore celibacy vows. But this was a school full of teenagers. She finally realized she was looking rather weirdly at the boy, then coughed and blushed.

Standing up, she brushed off the orange gi she was wearing, smoothing out the wrinkles. Glancing between the girl and the boy, she replaced her flustered look with one that more resembled the tired, apathetic mask she'd been wearing during class. Clearing her throat, she said, "This is a bit awkward, rooming with someone of the opposite gender and someone I haven't even met up until now. But, I'd rather try to make the best of it, so we all might as well introduce ourselves. I'm Hamano Kaori, formerly of a temple, if the clothes didn't give me away. I can't say I'm looking forward to sharing a room, but I can say that I'm willing to work with it and try to get used to the idea and get to know you both better." She forced a smile, hoping it didn't look too terrible, fighting back her rising panic / terror. Social situations were not her forte.
@FinDragon
Mysterious events, huh? Alright lol. That game sucks because Kojima got fired in mid-development.

Stopped paying attention.
Noticed there were posts.
Got excited.
