Basil approached the famous Fort Beacon. It was a strange thing to do, he was the last person in this city who should ever be able to enter, but here he was, walking into the place of his own free will with no guards attempting to make an arrest. Well, not yet. As the faunus made his approach to the gates his crow ,Dolor, landed on his shoulders and gave a single caw "Hm, nobody is tracking us for once? Odd." He rarely went outside during the daylight hours but he was almost always tracked by some kind of gang or organisation when he did. As the gates opened to allow himself and a rather large truck in, Basil looked around. The tension between faunus and humans was as clear as ever, with many members of both races keeping their weapons close. He shook his head Put your simple fears aside for a moment, there is a greater threat at our doorstep, and I'd prefer it if you weren't at each others throats before the games have even begun.. Checking his scroll for the room number his informant had provided, he made his way to briefing room. Entering the room he saw the only other person there was a human wearing body armor, he did not seem to be happy about the current situation. "Basil" the crow faunus said before pointing to the crow on his shoulders "Dolor","And you are...?" he asked ,getting straight to the point.Frankly, Basil didn't really care, but if he was going to be fighting Grimm with him, he may as well be polite enough to take his name.
I think I agree with Forsythe, while faunus are generally meant to be based off animals, we thought the same thing about Grimm at first, then we got Wyverns, Hippogriphs , whatever Japanese monster that nightmare fuel inducing Grimm from season 4 was based off, ect. Although if you wanted it to be safe lore wise, I'd base it off a bat or something to keep the wings but then the semblance seems kinda weird..
Semblance: Plague Warning-Manipulates aura so the user emits a cloud of fog which, if it touches an enemy, will temporarily give them an affliction/disease. (Note-for simplicity sake, just assume the fog does damage to oppenents aura, then flesh at a slower rate. Same deal for Grimm but their all flesh so...yeah
Weapon: The Bone Sifters - A sword and a sickle with a chain attached that is capable of transforming ino a pistol-when thrown the sickle is able to reach about 15m
Personality: Basil is naturally a bitter person due to his past, fortunately he also has a keen mind that has helped him survive for years without much help. He has had a recently growing greed due to his success in the criminal underworld of Vale however and his developed a taste for the finer things in life despite his rather poor upbringing. Despite the fact he is faunus, Basil is not particularly bothered by the high tension between the humans and faunus, mainly because he wears his mask at almost all times so very few people question his race and his mindset that "somebody needs to take the fall".
Bio: Basil was born in a small town north of Vale, he was raised by his father, Vert Plagas, and his mother, Violet Plagas. His father taught him everything he knew about medicine and semblances. By the time he was 14 he took over his father's work as the town's only doctor. A few weeks after Basil took over his father's work the village was attacked by a roaming group of beowolves. They destroyed everything, very few of the townsfolk knew how to fight effectively and were slaughtered. Basil's mother was killed quickly, however the beowolves slashed at his father's thigh before a lone hunter brought it down. Basil thanked the huntsman and quickly checked on his father, however he realized he was bleeding out. With no medicine or bandages to help him Basil was forced to watch as his father bled out. Thrown into complete shock by the events that occurred, Basil simply left his old home without a word. This also caused a huge personality change in Basil, he no longer wanted to help people. Where had helping people got him up to then? Eventually Basil made his way to the main city of Vale after spending weeks travelling from town to town. Having little luck finding any jobs due to his race or his bitter attitude , he turned to crime. At first he only committed petty theft to gather enough food to survive, however gradually he began to realize his skills in medicine and chemistry could be put to less legitimate uses. Donning a plague doctor mask to hide his face and to allow him to safely work with his substances, eventually his work and success attracted the attention of local crime-lords who offered him additional protection along with a larger area of influence. While Basil used the goons more as guards, he also used them as sparring partners so he could refine his own fighting technique in the event his guards were eliminated. Eventually Basil began to complete more hands on tasks in his organisation, robbing stores and demanding money from people who could not afford to pay for Basil's narcotics anymore, this lead to the faunus gaining a hefty bounty on his head and Vale, although it is yet to be claimed by anyone. After the attack on Mistral by the Grimm and a call to arms to Beacon Fort, Basil decided it was time to exact his revenge on the Grimm. The faunus allowed his goons to protect his underworld monopoly while he was away, but told them they would pay with their lives if they allowed it to crumble. Now Basil made his way to Beacon Fort, hoping the authorities would swallow their pride for a time and that the do-gooders who had heard of him would not jump on him to collect his bounty.

@Hypnoid I thought that considering the fact Grimm were an impending threat most people would accept the help , although I'll change it so he was less known if you'd prefer, more of a character only known in the underworld and by a few others. Although the tension created by a crime boss walking straight into a military base at a time like this would have interesting results.
Lucian sighed at the heavy damage the bug had taken from the single hit. "I cannot help but find myself..disappointed" Lucian took one of his pokeballs from his pocket "No matter, we will help fix your flimsy defenses in time. Houndour dodge again." Lucian ordered, houndour attempted to leap out of the way before Lucian threw the pokeball at the weakened Venipide. "Remember you three, we had a deal. Attack me and houndour will burn you three as well, only there will be no healing for you." He reminded the other bugs who seemed anxious as he sat and waited to see if his second companion would resist the pokeball.
