Current As a certain murderous android would say in the worst film of a good trilogy, "I'm back."

In all fairness, you'd think with a name like Katawa Shoujo, you'd know it'd be set in Japan.
Nothing but my two cents.
You may have to wait for approval on your character, since our wonderful GM, Silverwind Blade is away until Sunday. Otherwise, it looks good.
If I recall correctly, he also hated sweater-vests. :3
Taking into account the fact that one of the characters is KS had a dad who wore Hawaiian shirts, wielded a katana and was absolutely ripped, I think it should be fine. :P
Ooooh, mafioso. This is looking interesting already.
I'm not the GM, but if it were me, I'd expect some explanation on how she ended coming to Japan. Other than that, I'd say it looks good, but it's all down to Alarieth.
Brilliant.

EDIT: Kind of sounds like a recipe for disaster if you ask me. No offense meant, just stating what I think.
Please give thoughts and indicate if there are any problems.

Name: Makishimu Arakawa

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Heterosexual.

Age: 17

Appearance:

Personality: Makishimu is a friendly person, though he can be quite dark when it comes to humor and interactions. Speaking of humor, he has a good sense of it, but he is usually guarded about it. In class, he is quite serious and focused on what is being taught, no matter the subject, but he doesn't take this attitude out of class; he has a habit of doing everything at the very last minute and doing random things that he normally wouldn't do instead of work.
After his accident, he has kept a good outlook on things, though he definitely wonders at times why it was him who was the only one who was hurt in the event...

Skills and problems:
-Good grades
Despite Makishimu very rarely putting much effort into homework and studies outside of class, he miraculously has good grades; a thing that surprises even him.
-Social
Makishimu is very good at interacting with others and with a little work, he may be able to look past the disabilities of his fellow classmates.
-Bad depth perception
Due to his disability, Makishimu has no binocular depth perception and his peripheral vision has been effectively cut in half.

Bio: Makishimu Arakawa was born to a couple of differing origins, his mother being a French national and his father Japanese. Other than this rather distinct fact, Makishimu had an extremely ordinary youth, spending most of his time either at school or playing games at home. He never considered himself all that special, save for his good marks at school. He was well liked by his teachers for his general serious attitude and by his friends for his amiable nature.

However, this calm lifestyle came to an abrupt end when an accident that involved him and his family took place near his seventeenth birthday. This accident, which he prefers not to talk much about, resulted in a serious shrapnel injury in the area of his right eye but little to no injury for his parents. He was rushed to the hospital, where it was found that while the skin around his eye could be easily healed over time, his eye was beyond repair. Thus, the decision was made to remove his eye and Makishimu was forced to wear an eyepatch from that moment onward.

After spending a month in the hospital, he was left with vision problems related to losing an eye and the subsequent loss of a good part of peripheral vision and binocular depth perception. By the recommendation of a nurse, his parents decided to send him to a school for students with disabilities, a subject which Makishimu himself decided to remain externally neutral upon, while secretly harboring a deep distaste.

Other: Will be added as I think of things.
