Current As a certain murderous android would say in the worst film of a good trilogy, "I'm back."

I'm fine with it. I'm just waiting for a good chance to let Raisa do some CQB.
Introduction is up; you may now begin your character's day following the dream, on April 9th, three days after the beginning of the school year. I'd think they'd want to find out the one they saw in their dream, no?
dream, noun, often attributive \ˈdrēm\
: a series of thoughts, visions, or feelings that happen during sleep

: an idea or vision that is created in your imagination and that is not real

: something that you have wanted very much to do, be, or have for a long time

This, was a dream. At least, Violetta thought so. This situation was much too out of the ordinary to be considered reality.

re·al·i·ty, noun \rē-ˈa-lə-tē\
: the true situation that exists : the real situation

: something that actually exists or happens : a real event, occurrence, situation, etc.

She felt tired. Overhead, a blue-tinted moon laid in the sky, coloring the clouds that were gathered around it. Around herself, the ground rose up and strange, unnatural ways, and were covered in checkerboard patterns and had pieces of black metal breaking out of the ground. No life besides herself and the man in front of her could be heard, seen or found to begin with. Speaking of the man in front of her, he was tall, with amber eyes and blonde hair. Like her, for whatever reason, he wore the winter uniform of Shirasagi High, which consisted of a black blazer shirt with the school insignia emblazoned on the left breast and a cerulean tie, black colored slacks and black shoes. For herself, it consisted of mostly the same thing up top, but with a few white highlights that added a unique ornate look to the uniform and forgoing the tie for a ribbon of similar coloring. The skirt was a typical pleated skirt of a similar color to the ribbon, but slightly darker and with a few frills along the hem. Honestly, she thought it impossible for someone to confuse them from a distance, especially considering the differences.

dif·fer·ence, noun \ˈdi-fərn(t)s, ˈdi-f(ə-)rən(t)s\
: the quality that makes one person or thing unlike another

: something that people do not agree about : a disagreement in opinion

: the degree or amount by which things differ

For some reason, she couldn't move anything except for her eyes. And for some other reason entirely, she found herself attempting to avoid looking into the other person's eyes, who seemed to be in the same predicament. Eventually, she did look into his eyes, and when she did, she suddenly knew his name without speaking and her vision filled with the color of his eyes, before she tore her eyes away. She realized without being told that the same must have happened for him.

Violetta now found herself in her bed, staring into the dark. A cold sweat came down her back and she looked down at her clock. 5:00 she read. With a shrug, she went back to sleep but the events and the man, who was apparently named Zen, remained in her mind even as the sun came up...

That night, Violetta dreamt of Zen, despite knowing nothing of him. In the same way, Zen had dreamt of Sayuri, Sayuri of Mizuko, Mizuko of Hatsune, Hatsune of Dominick and the lattermost of the very first. This bizarre, common dream would eventually link all these people together, but none of them knew for what and what would await them in the days to come...
Did a post to start up landings and introduce the final NPC in the beginning. Hope it works for you guys.
Solo Island Control
<<Peace Sparrow, you are all cleared for landing.>>

"We'll let you all land first." Major Zondervan said to the pilots of Peace Sparrow. With this, the Belkans pulled away to give them more space to land.

Solo Island Control
<<Please head to the briefing room after landing for a debriefing.>>

"Roger that." Charles responded and brought the F-4E into a landing path. Out of the corner of his eye, however, he noticed a stealthy looking aircraft with flames trailing from one of its engines going for a landing on another runway. Charles, curious, inquired about this to the tower. "Tower, there seems to be... a rather interesting aircraft coming in for a landing. It seems to be damaged. Is it one of the Belkans?"

There was a short pause.

Solo Island Control
<<...the Nosferatu? Must be our little butterfly coming home from her little excursion in Yuktobania. Neo United Nations pilot "Papillon", what is your status?>>

Unknown Pilot
<< This is Papillon. My left engine is on fire and the right stalled about twenty seconds ago. I am also... *cough*, injured. Please prepare medical personnel on the ground and spray foam on the tarmac. I might need an arrestor cable prepared too.>>

A female's voice spoke in response to the tower.

Solo Island Control
<<Affirmative. If it isn't a problem, could you give me a count of your kills today? If the Nosferatu does explode, we'll lose records and we'd like to know while it's still fresh in your mind. >>

Papillon paused for a moment, but her radio was on and Charles could hear her breathing heavily, probably focusing on bringing the crippled aircraft in for a landing. As he did the same for his own plane, he felt a slight relief when he saw the landing gear and hook of the futuristic looking fighter lower.

Papillon
<<... I think about thirty-two fighters and eight bombers this morning and fifteen that attacked me on the way back.. Is that... satisfactory?>>

Charles gasped at the announcement and looked at the plane bewilderedly. "Geez, captain, eyes on the tarmac!" Erika said as the Phantom began to drift slightly. With a nod he returned to landing and the Phantom was landed in a few moments. Descending from the Phantom, Charles took off his helmet and looked in the direction of the Nosferatu. It hit the runway with a clang and it rolled for a moment before its hook caught on the cable and it abruptly stopped. A moment later, some crewmen sprayed foam on the flaming engine. However, the cockpit remained shut. To Charles' horror, the cockpit seemed to be broken. He could just see the figure inside take out its knife and after cutting itself out, it began bashing on the glass of the cockpit until there was a hole large enough for her to crawl out of. "Papillon" then pulled herself legs first through the hole. With a thud, she landed legs first on the tarmac and stood for a moment before falling to her knees. She was gripping her arm, seemingly to apply pressure to a wound. A few paramedics ran over and pulled her onto a stretcher before wheeling her off to a building.

The two pilots remained silent as they witnessed this and after the pilot had been brought away, Erika spoke. "I wonder if it went better for Romeo...?

"Hope so." Charles murmured before heading towards the building, navigating around crewmen who rushed over to the now unburning Estovakian fighter.
"Raisa, you good over there?" With the destruction of the APC and the end of its fire, her savior, so to speak, spoke up on comms. Rising from her position, she cracked her knuckles after putting her Avto-30 back on her back and responded.

"Couldn't be better if I tried." She began walking back towards the group, a slight spring in her step, which translated to slightly more "stomp" in her GEAR's own walking. After a good two weeks of no combat or training, she quickly found herself hitting her stride once again. As she walked over, she extended her left arm's blade and tentatively tapped on the blade with her right hand. It was blunt, a training blade, but it still caused her some "damage" as evidenced by the notification that appeared on her HUD. It was negligible, but she did feel as if she had cut herself thanks to her pilot's suit adapting for the training mission. Unconsciously, she brought her finger up to her mouth. "I appreciate the detail, but this is going a bit far..." she muttered. Her mind was taken off the idea by her leader speaking up on comms.

"Look sharp, people - let's get moving!" He said as his GEAR reloaded and began moving.

"Roger!" Raisa retracted the blade and once again picked up her rifle, her right index finger still stinging somewhat.
Sorry, meant to post last night, but I ended up watching Les Chevaliers du ciel, which is an incredibly awesome movie. For anyone even slightly interested in military aviation, I highly recommend it.
Here's some footage from the movie. All of the scenes were shot with actual Mirage 2000-5 fighters, Dassault-Breguet-Dornier Alpha Jet E's and AWACS, among others and the cinematography is frankly superb.
Glad to see you all here.
Ahem, without further ado, here are the results of Operation Stick Poke;
-Wileycoyote will be losing his spot as he hasn't been online for a week since posting his reservation request.
-Mizos is here.
-Demous is here and his (her?) character will be added to the OP shortly.
-Katakon is here.
-TheRpgGamer has responded to my PM stating that (s)he is still interested.
-Lucius Cypher is here.
-Chantilly, who stated interest, has not been online for five days, but I have nonetheless sent him (her?) a message inviting them to submit a character if they are still interested.

So, all in all, we have only lost one person and they hadn't made a character to begin with. I'll start the IC sometime today. Anymore questions from anyone?
I'll try to work out an IC post in the next few hours, in an attempt to breathe some life into this RP, as it's been somewhat inactive lately.
Alright, Operation Stick Poke has begun! After confirming everyone's presence (or not), I'll get to work on the IC!
