Cora started smiling at the fact that she wasn't alone in her ability to destroy literally everything but didn't want to, but her smile was dashed the second Batman began to speak. Cora looked away to try and hide her embarrassment.

"This was not a social visit. This is Cora, since we're doing proper introductions. Better known for her recent battle with Doctor Fate. You may have noted the collar and face plates. They are for your safety as well as her own. The League and your leader have remotes for the collar and plates should they need to be activated. Removal of either is punishable by expulsion. Cora, except in the scope of missions cannot be allowed into the world at large. She is confined to the cave. Any questions?"

Cora quietly moved away from him, hoping that distance would somehow dull the backlash. There would be questions, of course. Probing questions that she couldn't lie about and that she really wished she didn't have to answer. Even still, she'd killed a person, even if it was in self-defence how far would she go in that state? How much humanity could she lose?

"He forgot to mention that I become a demon when I get angry... haha, it's so much fun..." Cora mumbled from where she was, anxiety on her face.

True. Hmmmm...

I mean it's more that between missions she has to stay in the cave where they watch her. She's not totally forbidden from leaving, but freely wandering the nearby town is definitely out.
@Saarebas Well actually that is a great idea. She can't leave the base, and if we needed her then that's how we could get her form point A to point B.

The question remaining would be cleanup. I mean I can just imagine some poor guard just walking into a room and discovering this huge pentagram or whatever.

"Goddamn it larry we said no summoning demons in the base!"
@RainDash I just had a random idea of Seamus conjuring a demon for a spell and accidently summons Cora by mistake... okay back to my corner.

I'm not gonna lie this made me laugh way too hard.

ah, ok, so you understand that invuln is about equal to regen in powerset terms.

Though do you guys have any 'bruiser' fighters like Superboy? Because if he or Deadpool-esque are too strong, you can't even stand up to Bane very well tbh.

Anyone ever play City of Heroes? If not, Valiance Online should be close to the feel of CoH. CoH was a very fun game.

That would probably be Cora. I kind of played on a lot of superboy's traits to make her, and strength is her primary characteristic.

I did once, but I'm not all that much of an online player to be quite honest.
"N-No that won't be necessary. How about I just call Cora or Exile, but first before I show you the HQ I think we should let the others in."

His flabbergasted behavior made Cora laugh. Had no one told him about her? Well, when they did introductions it'd become pretty clear anyway. Cora reached up to her face to try and scratch at the plates but her hand was swatted away by Batman. She was going to say something when the rest of the members entered the cave. Cora didn't say anything to Lousia after the other girl entered, but waited for more to enter. She wanted it all to be done at once. Like a band-aid.

A pair of kids younger than herself entered and greeted her and the boy. Cora nodded at them quietly. Another walked on the ceiling and called to the boy. Apparently the boy from earlier was in charge. At least she knew who held her leash. The last one spoke oddly and talked with a russian accent. At least the group itself was friendly enough.

"I'm Cora. Or Exile. Whichever you want to call me is fine." Cora was nervous, but she pushed past them. Cora ran out of things to say, and even then she wanted to explain it all when everyone was inside. She awkwardly stood there while Batman waited behind her. God he was creepy.
Not everyone was so lucky to ride in from parts unknown. Cora, meanwhile, was in an old Leaguer's room, now mostly just dust and a defunct door. She wondered if the member had died, but scratched the thought as there was nothing in here. No dust rings or hand prints, not even any evidence that some had ever lived here. Cora decided to lay down on the bed again and stare at the ceiling. At some point during her staring at the ceiling she must have fallen asleep because she woke to knocking at the broken door. Cora rose slowly, walking over and checking that everything was in place. Collar? A quick touch confirmed that it was on. Painful metal face plates? Check, she didn't even have to check thanks to the pinpricks of pain, but she did it out of habit anyway.

The door slid open in it's creaky, slow way and Batman stood behind it. He looked impatient, but then Cora figured he always looked impatient and cranky. Did the man ever sleep, she wondered quietly.

"It's time," he said in his usual Batman voice. "You know the rules?"

"I had nothing else to do but memorize them." They hadn't even really given her anything but the paper with the rules and a bed, so she wasn't exaggerating.

"Good. Then we go to the Zeta beam transporters."

The walk was short, but it was probably best to move her quickly out of the Watchtower. While Doctor Fate had vouched for her, most of the other few remaining members were quick to tease her or insult her. Cora could bear it with quiet dignity, but nobody knew if anything said could set her off. So they walked in silence, and quickly left on the transporters.

She arrived in the cove shortly after Robin -she thought he was trying to be called Nightwing now- and Aqualad had left it, the Zeta beam was fading as they entered, and Cora wished she'd been given someone at least a little less... grim. She felt -and probably looked- like a prisoner that was being transported down to the cave for questioning or to be locked up there. Batman moved past her and Cora trailed along quietly. At least the cave was homey, she figured. She could pretend that it was one of those court ordered home lockdown things. Soon they arrived at a boy working at a bunch of computers.

Before Batman could speak she said, "hello, I'm your new live-in demon. You can call me Exile or Cora. Or if you really want you can call me your new slave."

"FEAR ME, oh hey is that chocolate?"

Name:
Cora Smithson

Alias:
Exile
Cor'Baath the Liar

Age:
16

Appearance:
Short blue hair and eyes, her eyes can turn red with use of her abilities. Cora is about five feet six, and looks thin and weak. She often prefers to wear blue for luck. She also wears a metal collar and a pair of metal braces on her face. Both can be triggered by her teammates should she go wild. The face plates are holy magics that are made to exorcise demons, and after their use they leave burns on her face.

Her superhero outfit is a black t-shirt and cargo pants with combat boots. She wears a blue jacket over both, for luck.

Personality:
Most of the time when she's not at work she's very calm and laid back. She might make a sarcastic comment or two to show that she's feeling good, but other than that she doesn't really telegraph her feelings. Most people automatically assume she's always angry because of her powers, but since she's received the amulet she's actually happy for the first time in a long time. She considers loyalty to others to be a priority, and tries to help whenever she can. However, without the amulet it's easy to tell that she's angry. Her transformations become more apparent and her irritability goes way up. She can be credited to the death of a thief who attempted to take her wallet once. She claims self defense, but knows that she lost control. Control is the second most important thing to her, and she works to make sure she never loses her temper or overreact to anything. She doesn't consider herself to be two people but one person with a very bad temper.

Gear:
Binding Amulet-
A simple amulet that allows Cora to keep her human form more easily. Crafted by the Justice League so that she may be a part of Young Justice. When worn, it makes her calmer and less angry.

Powers/Abilities:
Demonic Physiology-
Cora sheds parts of her human form to become her true self. She has rules about how much she transforms and how often she does it. Her hands, when transformed, have red scales and claws capable of cutting through steel. When Cora's arms are transformed, her strength effectively doubles and Cora becomes slightly more durable than before. If her legs are transformed, she becomes twice as fast and effectively doubles her reflexes. However, she doesn't transform both at once, nor does she use her 'real' form in combat. Despite being a young demon, she's very strong, even when not transformed. When not transformed at all, Cora is as strong as the strongest normal human. However, she needs to be transformed to take advantage of her form's abilities.

Demonic Understanding-
Cora knows how demons operate and has a fairly decent sense of dark magic and sorcery. She is capable of sensing spells not of a religious background, and interrupting them. However, being a young demon she can't really perform spells without a prepared ingredient on hand. Without any preparation any spell she attempts will fail. She doesn't need anything to break a spell that is considered 'unholy'. Dark magic stemming from the underworld is ineffective against her.

Quick Healing-
Small injuries ranging from a paper cut up to a broken bone heals twice as fast as a regular human's. However, when in demonic form she is unable to heal quickly.

Weakness:
Demonic Madness-
The more she transforms into her demonic form, the angrier and more out of control she gets. Conversely, as she gets angrier she becomes more demonic, thus she has to constantly be in control of her emotions. It is possible to bring her back after a full blown transformation, but that requires stunning her into unconsciousness first.

Gross, it's a church-
With the exception of cemeteries, Cora cannot walk on hallowed ground without permission from the person in charge of the hallowed ground. This is true for all religions and faiths. The exception is anywhere that is blessed by a ruler of the underworld.

Holy Magic-
Any magic considered holy and doesn't use life force for power can inflict great harm upon Cora. Exorcisms in particular work especially well, and can always render her unconscious.

Collared-
Because of her past actions, Cora wears a collar designed to inject tranquilizers should she get out of hand and face plates that activate an exorcism spell. The face plates are slightly painful at all times and she is subject to the leader of the team's and justice league's decisions as to whether or not she needs to be tranquilized or exorcised. The exorcism doesn't send her back to the Underworld, but does render her unconscious due to the pain.

Bio:
"I thought I was normal."

Cora grew up to a typical home, with typical parents. However, they were unaware that Cora was a demon until she was ten years old and broke the teacher's arm while he yelled at her. After a year of searching for help from the church, the only thing that Cora could stand to do was to run away from all that she'd ever known and attempt to understand what had happened to her. As the years rolled on her temper got worse and worse, until one day she killed someone. She'd just been trying to defend herself but the brutality of the crime resulted in a near complete transformation of Cora into Cor'Baath, the demon that had been banished to earth and forced to hold a semi-mortal form.

Cor'Baath had rejected torturing humans for fun and instead tried to help the ones unjustly accused into a better place. When discovered Cor'Baath was sent to earth in mortal form and without any memories of her work. Her punishment was exile to see how horrible human being can truly be. However, a riot during the exile ritual disrupted it and caused Cor'Baath to retain some demonic elements in her mortal form.

The conflict drove both Cora and Cor'Baath into madness and they began to break the law. It was petty at first, but quickly escalated as she got away with more and more crimes. As Cor'Baath, Cora was on the path to become a regular supervillian, often trying to destroy the world and steal from banks. It wasn't until Doctor Fate intervened and defeated her that the truth behind her transformations was revealed. Her plea to Doctor Fate to allow her to atone for what she'd done worked and she was provincially put on the Young Justice team.

Notes:
Forbidden to leave HQ. Too dangerous when exposed to the real world.
Loves Ghibli movies. Her favorite is Howl's Moving Castle.
@RainDash Just a question if she is forbidden to leave HQ does that mean she'd be like a trump card?

Yeah, that and if she got out she might go on another rampage.
