Jax followed, his hand rested on his revolver.

"Hmm I didnt think Sergeant Major's were field officers? Hm anyway, i'll get my boys and we'll have a little powwow with those kids."

"We figured you'd be weeping at our bedsides, asshole." Jax laughed and held out his hand.

Jax turned around, whiping tears from his eyes. "Hey Cap!" He called.

Jax eyed the boy, trying not to laugh. "Alright Aragorn." He said, not able to control himself any longer. He bust out laughing.

Jax nodded and clapped Olly on the back."We'll do it." He saluted, got up and headed to the armory. The next day, Jax had a new .357, 8 shot revolver as well as his hunting knife, attached to a tactical belt. The belt had two pouches, each with two loaded speedloaders in them, a pouch with a com system that his whole team was hooked up to, a pouch with a whetstone and the rest of the space was occupied by bullet slots, holding 24 extra bullets. He had his old weapons returned to him, his machete was slung across his back, while his revolver and rifle were stored in a locker next to his bunk in one of the big hangars. He'd received a new Remington, R11 rifle which was also slung over his shoulder. He'd also received his new mission gear as well as new clothes, fatigues and a new backpack. He was dressed in a tight black t-shirt tucked into black and grey camo cargo pants. Jax felt less like a survivor and more like a soldier now.

"You'll be the youngest soldier here. The youngest Captain since the Civil War too. And you and Jax will have the full files of every soldier on base. You can make your decisions together. One condition though. Captain Tim has to be one of them. You get 5 more men after that." The Colonel sat. "You'll also have your pick of any weapons and equipment from the quartermaster."
Jax nodded and looked at Olly.

Jax raised his eyebrow at Olly. "Told you. Psychotic." Jax chuckled. "So Colonel, what exactly do you want from us?"
"I want you to head an elite squad. Major Jax Tucker, and Captain Oliver Evans. You'll be officialy inducted into the Army, introduced to your men and sent on your first mission by tomorrow morning. You'll be running recon, scavenge and search and rescue missions. What do you boys say?"

"You've been through more than most of my boys have been in their entire lives. And you were tough enough to stick with a hardass like Jax. We can train you. But i'd take iron will and guts over training any day." the Colonel said thoughtfully.

Jax nodded and mouthed behind his hand "He's psychotic." The colonel laughed. "So you're Jax?" asked the Colonel. Jax nodded. "I hear you were a right pain to get here." the colonel smirked. "I dont take orders very well sir." Jax couldnt help but acknowledge the authority this man had. The colonel nodded. "Dont worry son. You wont be taking too many orders here. Everything i ask of you is optional. You're free to leave whenever you want, but we could really use your help. Yours and your friend's." He gestured to Olly.
