Current I just force Bork or Shiva to RP when I need a GM.

I think the main thing with any IC is a good pitch, I've joined plenty of RPs because the pitch was good (but rarely do I care about how pretty the thread is).

Some questions are just curve balls though. Traditionally the answer to "Do you support white supremacy?" is an easy no, unless you're either an idiot or racist or probably both.

I hope that it isn't rude to post a character sheet without expressing any prior interest, but I had a minor bout of inspiration and felt drawn to the irreverence of this thread.

I also gambled on a potential role existing related to cleaning, so apologies in advance if that was a step too far. Someone has to clean up the remains of Eldritch horror or their unfortunate victims after all.

As a new user who's shopped around RPG forums a bit, my only issue with broad genre subsections is that it proved to waste a lot of my time, as I'd say go check a section such as Fantasy only to realize that most of the RPs were what people here would call Free level and that's not my preferred type of play-by-post.

Another balance is also just the number of subsections, too few and it's not specific enough, too many and it feels like you have to click forever to check if there are any new interesting games.

Ultimately, I have simply changed my approach to simply focus on the what the pitch is, the history of the DM/GM by checking what they've done before, and seeing how things pan out in terms of characters people submit as there is so much variability even within the same writing level subsections that the broad target for each subsection is fairly meaningless as an indicator of what to expect unless you are jumping up or down two levels.
Until next time, fellow sailors.
I'm aiming to make character determinations sometime Wednesday night if you are still interested

My interest has only increased, so I am still interested.
@POOHEAD189 Not to presume acceptance, but a cranky old wizard sounds like a great mentor for the DIY alchemist I wrote up.
- Redacted due to trouble writing -
It's all fun and games until agents of the supernatural ACS show up because you couldn't afford a pot of gold for your Leprecaun baby.
I think most of the value of these sorts of things are that they are conducive to conversation and they can be pretty fun. Why wouldn't I want to know that my personality type is that I am a super awesome golden dragon or something awesome like that?

In terms of what they actually measure, I don't think they have much value as diagnostic tools for personality traits or really that they have any scientific merit at all. However, if you're just viewing them as a simple heuristic or fun way to broach a conversation about personality I don't see much harm.

Writing Sample? - Look I can't stop you from providing an writing sample but seriously, if you tell me you are an advanced RPer, I will take your word for it.

I have no words, only audiovisual performance art.

Further, I vote this be classed as a 1 x 1 x 1 x 1 to ensure maximum appeal.

Wonderful to see this OOC is up.

Below is a character sheet for an alchemist that's still in need of a writing sample.
