"...I don't know anything about doctors. Or babies."
Alice glanced up from the toilet, the voice surprising her. She pressed her hand against her flat stomach and waited for the girl to continue. She tried to place the voice from the people in the group, but was not a hundred percent sure.
"I don't know alot about a lot of feminine shit. But I do know this. You shouldn't have to be alone in this. Tell your folks. Unless they're abusive shits, then don't. If... if they freak on you, if you find yourself... y'know, in trouble... I know a lot of people who have been through a lot of bullshit and made it through the other side. I can call in a favor or 3 and get you help."
She could not help a small smile, though she was shaking her head. How could she tell her parents? No they would not abuse her or something like that, but what if they did not believe her story and threw her out? The thought was too scary. Though she knew the girl had a point.
“Thank you,” she manged to whisper, after finishing her business in the stall. She stood up and opened the bathroom door, coming out to see the card playing girl. She thought her name was Jin, but her memory had not be the best lately. “I'll think about telling my parents. They aren't abusive, but...” She trailed off. Jin wouldn't want her whole life sob story.
"I only wish you had some idea of who did it. That type of stuff deserves the proper response."
“I have a couple ideas... I mean there were hanging around when I was given the drink.” She shook her head. “I was so stupid for taking it. It did not taste weird or anything. Just like normal soda pop.” How was she to know there was some sort of date rape drug in the drink? She had only been 14 at the time and too trusting for her own good.
"Wipe up. I saw a water fountain in the hall, too. Puke can wreck your teeth, so... wash out your mouth good."
She took the napkins from Jin and wiped off her mouth, blushing slightly at the awkward situation she and a stranger found themselves in.
“Okay. Thank you... again. I know you did not have to do this, but thanks.” She walked outside the bathroom and stopped at the drinking fountain. She did as Jin told her to and then took a huge gulp of water.
“We better return...”
She walked into the support group room just as the leader was yelling at someone. At least people would be looking at whoever he was yelling at and not at her. She hurried and took her seat next to Jase.
