Bio

Please allow me to introduce myself, I'm a man of wealth and taste discerning in his choice of ramen. I'm a Canadian student currently living in Germany to do my Masters. I enjoy sports, martial arts, reading, writing, videogames and draw inspiration from all of these for my roleplays.

As for RPs, I like many different topics but only ever join one or two at a time. Any more than that, and I run out of time to write, so my quality really starts to slip. The upside of this is that I almost never drop an RP unless everyone else deserts it. If you see me apply to yours, it probably means I'm in for the long haul.

Bro, it's Christmas. Take your time. I don't expect much progress to be made this weekend/week because of the holiday anyway.
It's time for my anual tradition of making a holiday themed RP post!

Lilly Jatmoore's Christmas Post

Twas the night before Christmas, when all thro' the house barracks. Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse... because everyone had already passed the fuck out from the drinking earlier in the evening. Both armies had come to a temporary truce and ceased operations for the days between Christmas Eve and New Years, so celebrations were lively to say the least. One of the Yggdist chaplains on base had organized a Christmas Eve service but much to his dismay, the barrels of wine intended for the end of service toast had been... shall we say, acquired by some of the soldiers ahead of time, leading to an unintended night of drinking and excess at the service's conclusion. Needless to say, when the officers found out about this, they were less than pleased. The an army officer dragged the soldiers from Gallia's proper military back to their barracks for disciplinary action, but the militia officer who accompanied him was much less formal. After putting on a good show of yelling at them for the rest of the command, he allowed them to sneak back to their barracks with what ever they could carry to continue their revelries (with the promise they would keep it down to a reasonable level).

Lilly had never drank before. Ok well not quite 'never', a glass of wine with dinner was common at her mansion, but alcohol was being consumed at a rate far in excess of what she was used to. Not to be outdone, she tried to keep up with the toasts only to find out she was a lightweight when it came to alcohol and very quickly ended up passed out on a certain fireteam leader's lap. When the next morning came about, she woke up with a massive hangover. After rolling out of bed and staggering out of the barracks (someone had been kind enough to make sure she ended up in her bunk last night), she made her way to the mess hall. Having woken up later than most of the squad, breakfast was already in full swing by the time she got there. As part of the holiday celebrations, the army chefs had prepared enormous amounts of eggs, bacon, toast and coffee for everyone to enjoy - something that was vital for those nursing hangovers like herself. After getting her food and staggering over to the table containing the members of squad 4 (in various states of consciousness), she sat down and began to eat, trying to cure the headache her hangover was causing. Despite it's persisting effects on her health, last night's celebrations were fun and she was glad that everyone had managed to survive the year. In the distance, the bell in Fort Breda's chapel rang, signaling the start of the Christmas service for the few who were sober enough to attend it. That was right... another day of celebration stretched out before them. Addressing the rest of the squad, Lilly spoke up. "Merry Christmas, everyone."
@Musaki Hajime I second that notion, Musaki. Happy Holidays for all!
The engineer's ragnaid elicited a happy groan from the lancer. "Ooh... That's good. Mm, ooo."

I think she's getting a little too into this. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I know, I'm just messing with you.
@Zarkun You're in an anime RP. If you don't like weebs...

Yes. It is completely and utterly true. I'm considering trying it myself, but 8000 odd yen (around 80 USD) for a roast chicken is ridiculous.
As for Christmas itself... seems kinda quiet really. There's a couple of lights up, some decoration in shops. A few Christmas offers. The only real in your face thing is the couples showing off their romantic Christmas getaway plans.
Bastards.

That makes sense, since it's technically a religious holiday. Cool. I suppose Japan has it's own share of festivals and celebrations that dwarf it by comparison.

Judging by that last remark, I take it you have not been successful in acquiring a kawaii uguu waifu? Heh.
皆頑張れよね~~
I don't have exams til February, thank fuck.

Question: How big of a thing is Christmas in Japan? And is there any truth to the 'Japanese Christmas KFC tradition' rumor I keep hearing about?
@Zarkun Good luck with that, mate.

I'm in a similar boat. Got an exam today, actually.

Good luck to everyone involved in the end of semester crunch as well.
@Zarkun yeah but then it would have been a really short post of just everyone showing up. I wanted to give everyone most people something big to do.

However, if you have a grand strategy idea and want to post it, I'll cut off the tail end of mine.
