James Saddler- James is year older than Aren but the two have been friends since Aren moved to Switchville. James is a student athlete but the stereotype of jock would be misused on him. He runs track and also plays football. With football season over James now looks forward to the upcoming track season and graduation. An average student academically.
Appearance- James is 6’3 and a little over 200 pounds. Blonde short hair accented by green eyes and a strong jawline James is attractive but not overly so. Tends to wear jeans, a t-shirt and his letterman jacket.
Maria Bledsoe- Maria is a junior and a fellow book lover, though not so much so as Aren as she actually pays attention in her classes. Maria is an above average student and tends to frown upon the more negative practices of her schoolmates (drinking, drugs, etc).
Appearance- Maria is 5’3 and a little over a 100 pounds. She has brown curly hair and brown eyes. She is quite cute. Maria prefers to wear jeans coupled with cute blouses.
Kyle Lawrence- Kyle is also a junior. His grades are poor and if not for his friends he would probably still be a sophomore. Kyle has trouble paying attention in class and is often the loud obnoxious one, that many would label a class clown.
Appearance- Kyle is 5’8 and about 170 pounds. He is dark brown hair and hazel eyes. He tends to wear band shirts and tattered blue jeans along with converse shoes.
Jessica Holland- Jessica, or Jess as most call her, is the only other senior in the group Jess is former cheerleader that left the cheerleading because of the snobbery and clique-ness that became so inherent to the group. Now days she just hangs with her friends and glides through her senior classes. Slightly better than average Academically.
Appearance- 5’5 and about the same weight as Maria. She has shoulder length blonder hair and blue eyes. Jess tends to wear whatever she feels comfortable in, sometimes this means sweat pants and a t shirt other times, a skirt and blouse. Jess is hot but often this is hidden by the clothes she wears.

Clustered together at a small table Aren sat his nose buried in The Ocean at the End of the Lane, around him his friends discussed their respective holiday breaks while Aren only half paid attention and sipped on his coffee. Aren’s friends were used to him ignoring them- as with most other things for that matter- in preference for books. So it was to everyone’s surprise that as Kyle stood up and spread his arms mocking the entrance of Ethan that Aren laughed and put his book away. ”That guy is so full of himself,” Aren managed to mutter through his laughs.

As the group was still chuckling at Kyle’s antics it was James that broke the laughter to continue the conversation that they had been having before Ethan’s arrival. ”So, like I was saying, who’s up for hitting Blowout after school? It’s the first day back, not like any of us will have homework,” James asked the table at large.

Kyle always being up for anything, that wasn't school, was the first to reply ”Of course man! What else would I be doing tonight?”. Jess was a little more hesitant but eventually agreed to meet them at the club after she dropped by her house. Maria was the first to give any sort of negative response but which came out as more of a I-don’t-know than an actual no. As everyone else had answered they turned their attention to Aren waiting to see if he’d join them giving a sigh Aren replied ”Okay, I’ll be there…” to which the table smiled and Kyle let out a small cheer before he could finish with ”…only for a little bit though I do have work tonight”. Pulling his book back out Aren slid back into the fantasy world and once again zoned out on his friends, and the commons around them.
