I'm feeling really happy and pumped. Oh, and joyful. Haha.
Bio
Here's a list of things about me if you want to know a little bit more. Though if you actually want to get to know me, send me a PM, or talk over the OOC chat.
1. I don't generally like roleplays where my characters are forced to be serious 100% of the time; mostly because that's not how actual people work.
2. Yes, I use anime pictures for appearances. I've come to like anime less and less over the years, and personally only ever watch the movies now, and that's on incredibly rare occasions. I personally like using those over actual people faces, because people have too many specific details, and I can never find people faces that match the description I want. If you would like, I can use a text description instead.
3. I generally like to make 'pairs' of characters. Either characters that seriously contrast with each other, or work together really well but still have arguments and problems.
4. I've been forum roleplaying for just about 5 years now, and I've been tabletop roleplaying for 11 years now. I still suck at roleplaying despite being a 12 year veteran, but, what're you gonna do?
5. I really enjoy talking to people. Yes, society has gone downhill, but despite that I find serious enjoyment out of talking to people about anything. So, if I'm in an RP with you, just chat away with me. We can talk about mundane things, or go all-out on serious topics. I don't think I've come across a single person I've hated talking to, even if they were somewhat irritating or annoying. So please PM me, or just talk OOC.
6. I flipping love Inside Out, and as such, if you ever make an RP based around it, please invite me. I promise to behave of course. If one isn't made though, you know very well that I'll make my own, and I'll try my hardest to make it the best RP possible. Or, if you just want to talk about Inside Out, I'd love to do that as well.
7. Please make good characters. I understand Advanced Roleplayer's over on that section have no problem with this, but I don't like RPing over there. When I'm on casual roleplay, not many seem to care a whole lot about making good characters. They just make walking cliche's to get into an RP, and then completely change that character as the RP barely starts. It's annoying, lazy, and doesn't really make me want to accept you if I'm GM or co-GM.
Characters are the literal heart and soul of roleplaying, and should be treated as such. If you make your characters card-board cut-outs, it only tells me that you either don't care, are lazy, or that we absolutely need a moderate roleplay section on the forums to bridge the gap between posting 1-2 paragraphs with barely any work put into characters, and posting 6-8 paragraphs with enormously deep backstories, love, and care, put into characters.
8. I am a caring and nice guy, so don't be afraid to talk to me about anything. I'm fairly hard to offend, and even harder to make mad. I seriously enjoy getting to know my fellow members, so talk whenever you feel like it.
"Hm, alright," Kurano responded, taking everything Garsin said into account, and strengthening his grip on the revolver. Closing one eye again, and focusing on the target. Quickly and decisively. Don't think too much. Kurano squeezed the trigger, and the gun let out a bang. Lowering the revolver, he could see that he made a direct hit to the left side of the target's face. Containing himself, Kurano looked to Garsin for a brief moment before returning to fire at the target.
Soon, the remaining 4 rounds made their way into the target, as Kurano started to reload them once again, he remembered about the grenade launcher. Slightly hesitant, he pulled one of the grenades out of the pouch and stuck it into the lower barrel on the revolver, then switching the firing mode to the grenade launcher. Aiming directly towards the target again, Kurano squeezed the trigger, and saw as the small round zoomed forward letting loose an explosion that destroyed the target. Kurano smiled a bit, not that he wanted to kill things, but merely from learning a new skill.
Kurano listened intently to Garsin's instruction, putting on the belt with the holster. He especially made note of keeping a good grip on the gun, and the reloading. As he followed Garsin over to the target, Kurano felt the weight of the gun in his hands and tried to appropriate himself to it. Without notice while Kurano was fiddling with the revolver, Garsin started to shoot off the rounds he had, each one hitting the target somewhere in the head. Kurano looked in awe for a moment before a near deafening explosion came from where the target had once stood.
Kurano politely took his revolver back from Garsin, nodding after being given instruction to only practice with one. Kurano unlocked the cylinder, and slid it out of place, revealing the casings that were still left over from the bullets. Each of them easily slid out, falling onto the floor. Quickly, Kurano opened up the pouch on his side and grabbed one of the speed loaders. Fiddling with it at first, Kurano then managed to line up the bullets with the holes in the cylinder causing the bullets to then slide into the slots. Almost forgetting, he slid the cylinder back into place.
Taking a deep breath, Kurano looked over to the target which re-materialized and took aim. He steadied his breathing, and closed one of his eyes, looking straight down the sights and onto the targets head. Slowly, his finger pulled back on the trigger until his arm shot up, and the bullet whizzed through the air. The recoil was tremendous, Kurano had nearly let go of the revolver. Quickly, he checked the target, which didn't have a single sign of damage. "What gives?" He asked. "I aimed for the things' head," he said, checking to see if the gun didn't jam up. Kurano desperately looked to see where the bullet had actually went, until checking the ceiling and seeing that the bullet had gone behind the target up on the ceiling. "I guess I can't really handle this gun too well. I'll aim lower next time," he said while scratching the back of his head.
It was to make sure no one took that seriously lol, can never be too sure on the internet.
I used to have a seriously bad habit of making all of my guys garbage at everything, and all of my girls the best at what they do. The remnants of that are going to die with Keima and Nu of course in the other RP.
Here, Kurano is only bad at one major aspect, and that's fighting. He's a smooth talker when he wants to be, and agile to boot, as well as being fantastically smart. His only problem is really strength-wise, and the fact that a lack of nicotine can make him go crazy if he's in a stressful situation. He's also quick to anger as well, and doesn't exactly like authoritative figures, which is something he developed because of studying law and his uncle.
So all and all, Kurano is one of my more original characters I've made, who doesn't follow the pattern of either being bad at everything, or being good at everything.
Also, this mimic character sounds a lot like one of those godforsaken fake treasure chests from final fantasy 9.
Or this seriously stupid boss from Final Fantasy 4.
The trick to beating him was literally standing there for 10 minutes not doing anything, and he would then kill himself. But if you were a kid playing like me, you died about 5,000 times to him and then quit the game. Until you discovered game faqs and found the absolutely outrageous way to beat him.
I could make another female character potentially. Though I tend to make more aggressive women, like Sarah over on the MCRP, unless they're young. Even when I intend to make them kind, and empathetic, they always end up being angry if they're over the age of 20 or so. Yet, I always do the opposite with men. It's odd to say the least.
Tek scares them off by drawing attention to them, while Unraveller scares them off with his rippling muscles. I'm okay with the group size we have by the way. I'd like for there to be maybe 1 or 2 more people, but this group size is okay for the most part. 4 tends to be the ideal in most RPs anyway. Unless it's an arena, in which case 10 or more is the ideal number.
If this were the old guild, usually you would send a PM to people you see viewing and ask if they're interested. Nowadays, I guess we just call them out and hope they join. I honestly blame The One for deterring people from the RP. That stupid .gif is on the front page, and people probably assume that she's still RPing with us.
Kurano stood idly by, watching as Garsin fiddled with the locker for a bit, wondering what his weapons would be. After a few minutes of Garsin seemingly "sizing" him up against the weapons, and teasing him with an overly large ax, Kurano felt Minami tug against his pants tighter once she saw it, Garsin pulled out a frightening pair of revolvers. "I've never held a gun in my life," Kurano commented, worried he could accidentally set them off into his foot. The grenades didn't reassure him either. Kurano worriedly watched to see what else the man was going to give him, but let out a sigh when it looked like a sort of multi-purpose sword. "I'll try my hardest not to break them, unless they're made of something cheap and flimsy," Kurano replied.
Kurano took a good look at the sheathe, and the gun holster, not quite sure how to put the latter on. "I get that the sword goes on like a backpack of sorts, but I don't really understand the guns. Do I need a belt for them?" He questioned, dangling it around carefully.
Minami Shiroka
Minami silently ooh'd and ah'd at the different pointy things she saw in the weapon racks. The bigger things excited her for a strange reason, which caused her to grab on tighter to Kurano. One thing that caught her the most was the ax. It glistened to her more than anything else she saw, and her eyes blew up when she saw them. Almost tempted to reach out and grab it, she restrained herself, knowing that the others would get mad. In her mind she pouted, like a spoiled child who couldn't get what she wanted.
It's likely Garsin won't allow her to even hold a weapon now, right? So she may have to get hers a little bit later, unless the first mission is literally around the corner.
