I'd be keen to run Skerples' Tomb of the Serpent Kings in the Old-School Essentials system. Is anyone interested?
I am interested. Huge fan of "Future Migration Period" stuff.
Would you be cool if I joined?
So, what kind of gender politics do you want the RP to have slash is everyone comfortable with the RP having (that will be the only deciding factor on whether my subjugation-obsessed neo-bronze-age despot is male, female, or other)
I feel like this might be a bit silly for the RP, but would it make sense for my character to have some Conan books that they use as a kind of religious text?

Also I love how you've taken tabletop rules (Definitely Apocalypse World, possibly The Burning Wheel) and opened them up and streamlined them for classical forum play. I see what you're doing there.
I'm very up for this, if you're still taking applications.
I am extremely up for this. I have too many ideas for characters, so I'll wait to see what other people pick.
That's a good idea actually. Although it would probably require the lodge to have a "darker" direction, which upon reflection might actually just be more interesting anyway.
@Blackmist16 Good to have you on board!

@Frettzo Unfortunately, I don't think it'd make sense to have humanoid supernaturals in the lodge.
There is something that sits behind mundane reality. All who live have seen glimpses of whatever it might be, flickering in the backs of their dreams, brushing against their hopes, glimmering around the edges of their daily ablutions. Most brush this aside, and continue as they had been, unaware or living in false knowledge of the aethereal currents that govern their lives, content.

But you, illuminated one, you witnessed something that shattered that dream forever. Perhaps religious fervour brought you beyond the licit bounds of your faith, into forbidden books and forbidden prayers. Perhaps the quest to scientifically understand the world brought you to something that could not be understood. Perhaps you are an outcast from society, who with the eyes of the outsider, of the downtrodden, can see that which those inside cannot see. Perhaps you merely sought power, and were wise enough to understand the danger posed by power without wisdom and restraint.

In any case, you now stand here, among your brethren, ready to raise the Temple, and perform the work required to usher humanity into a golden age.

So, I thought I'd put out some feelers for an occult RP. Essentially, it'd be in the "real world" at some point in history (or indeed today), where magic is tangible and influencible by occult workings. Everyone else would play the various members of an occult lodge of some sort, and I'd control the forces of magic, supernatural creatures, and mundane humans that everyone interacts with.

If anyone has a particular idea for setting, themes, or possible plotlines, do let me know.

(P.S. I've so far assumed everyone will be playing a character who is basically on the side of good. If people would prefer that not to be the case, I'm open to it, but I'd rather not have a mix. That makes conflict within the group boring and predictable)
