That's good to go!
@Dark Cloud

There's a gratis PDF available from DriveThruRPG here, which is also linked in the OOC thread, which, by the way, is up and running. (@rush99999)
It has been a millenium since the Reaping King landed at Ka-Adun and began his conquest of the Gyre. Now, the Brass Hegemony is a shell of its former self, and the great, expansive New City remains largely empty. The Reaping King remains hidden and quiet in his Folded Palace, and his legions of automata have retreated to those lands he directly administers.
In recent years, the provincial rulers of the Gyre have begun to fight among themselves, and seek to find their new hegemon, at least in lieu. But power shifts for everyone, not just humanity, and the Anak to the south can plainly see what is happening to their north, and in deeps and hives and reefs and shadowy dens, Outsiders stir. Not all wars take place where they can be seen, and there are perilous forces on the move, throughout the whole Latter Earth.
You have chosen to seek your fortune against this backdrop, as an adventurer. The savage lands of the Latter Earth are always supportive of this profession of danger, and your kind is known throughout the world. In times of change, such as this plainly is, it becomes even more lucrative, for those willing to risk cruel death.

Welcome to a sandbox campaign in the Gyre, the region of the Latter Earth given in the free core rulebook for the B/X D&D variant, Worlds Without Number. To join, simply submit a character sheet in this channel, and if I approve it, repost it to the character sheet channel, and keep it updated. You can find the rules PDF here.

I'd be happy to have you! I'm not very experienced with it myself, but if you have any questions, I'll do what I can to answer.
@rush99999
That looks pretty good. When I put the RP up I'll ask you to replace your "goal" with a two or three sentence summary of your character. Not too much, since characters can be quite fragile in the system, and I'd like you to flesh him out more in the course of play.
@rush99999

That sounds like a lot of fun, although you won't be able to start as a ruler, or, for that matter, with any more posessions than what character creation gives you. With luck and cunning, though, you should have a stronghold in no time, either granted to you in exchange for loyalty, or seized from an enemy.
I might be up to give it a try

I'll be happy to! I hope to have at least three players, and I'll leave the RP wide open for people to join, but I hope to have the OOC thread up by Friday, no matter what.

What kind of play/genre tropes are you interested in? The different regions of the Gyre are suited to lots of different possibilities. If you've read the book, perhaps you have a locale you're particularly into.
The world is different in the Latter Earth, in the far future, or perhaps far past. It bears the marks of alien beings, of human beings of alien soul-likeness, of mere human depravity and hubris. The earth is not subdued, the errant science-magic of the Legacy has warped it, and weird living or half-living things move upon it, and in the sky and in the seas. Where mankind once stretched far and wide, now it huddles in its towns and cities and what they can defend, fearing greatly the savage wilderness and greater still that which is not.
Still, the great expanses of unruled land and sorcery-blighted wastes are ever a promising prospect to those desperate, brave, and foolish enough to risk their very lives and push back against the hazards of wasteland, whether they hunt treasure, seek to settle new pinpricks of civilisation, or simply work for hire. Those in the profession of violence are feared and tolerated, envied and desired, and when needed, even loved.

Worlds Without Number is a fairly light D&D variant from Sine Nomine Publishing. It is built around a stripped-down B/X ruleset with a 2d6 out of combat skill system. We will be playing in its default setting, in the Gyre, as appears in the book. Anyone interested?

It's more closely based on the Moldvay-Cook Basic/Expert D&D, especially the "Classic Fantasy" game, which is the basis for the free basic rules PDF. OSE Advanced Fantasy contains more elements of AD&D, although slightly modified to be more coherent with the B/X rules skeleton.
