Alright, that's fine. Let me know who you think up. Characters who don't work well in a team can be interesting to play around. But it might be a good idea to send them in first, because it's still an iffy subject depending on how much of a nuisance they are.

@Rondo of Blood
Alright, Re-Roll
Took a bit to scrounge a good list together, but how about...
John Dee (Caster/Assassin) - He was a book collector who along with Edward Kelly rediscovered the language of angels. (Or demons, there is basis for both.) He had a massive library, and was considered a cunning mystic. Also, for assassin he was considered the Queen’s Spymaster. Something with little basis, but is still believed to this day. Giving him a lot to work with. (One of the books in his possession is said to be 'Book of Soyga')
Or
Chen Gong (Caster) - He was Lu Bu’s strategist. Lu Bu didn’t really listen to him, but fate lore has it that he had more influence than he did historically. In Fate, he's the creator of God Force, a weapon used by Lu Bu that is said to be capable of being all weapons. And a major strategist.

@Rondo of Blood
That's fine. The Gatcha is just a suggestion system. If you want to, I'm fine writing up some casters and then spinning a wheel on that.
On a side note: The Wright Brothers are Riders only in the sense that they fly in a plane. As inventors they also fill the role of Casters, so they can invent new weapons and such. So they're more like modern casters than spell book casters.
@WanderingDragon
I want you to reread what I said. You can pick a canon servant. The Gatcha exists as a random idea generator for people who don't know what they want to make.
And I want to rephrase myself for one bit. You are allowed to make a servant and a master, but you can't have multiples of both.
@SSW
Alright, you rolled a 1.
Taksin (Berserker) - King of Siam. Went insane. Was a powerful general, a hero of chaos who brought his kingdom to peace after destroying an army. Despite his low birth, he was a great hero, who was friends with the person who would later pass him as king. He was the only king of his dynasty.

@Rondo of Blood
You rolled a 19.
Wright Brothers (Rider) - American Inventors and the fathers of flight. They are no doubt weak servants, but can create a rather powerful machine to match anything of other servants if given time. Mostly based around aerial combat, they are inventors at heart. And there are two of them, so that's double the power.

If you have questions, or want a GM to toss ideas around with, let me know.
@WanderingDragon
1- You can choose your own servant. As mentioned in the Gatcha, it's totally optional. The main appeal is for people who don't know who or what they'd want to play, so they're basically asking for a random idea.
2- It is optional to do so. Yes. There are only four masters, and eight servants. You can make a servant but not a master, or a master but not a servant. But you're only allowed to make one of each. So you can't have two servants, or two masters.
3- You don't need to know too much about the franchise to get involved. General rule is "Bad guys are messing with history, so mages summon famous people to fight the bad guys."

@SSW
It's an optional way to get a random servant idea tossed at you. We have Twenty-One random ideas from various mythologies/histories. If you decide you don't like the idea presented, you can request a reroll or just make your own. You are not obligated to use one. It's just for people who might not know what they want to make.

Say for example you want to roll an idea. We'll spin a wheel, and then send you the name, possible classes, and a brief summary of a character.

Ex:
Pocahontas (Rider/Caster) - Princess of the Powhatan's chieftain. She married an Englishman, and acted as a speaker on behalf of her people to protect their culture from the English. Her story has been romanticized over the years, and she is a subject of art, literature, and film. Her true name is supposedly Matoax, which was carefully concealed from the British because knowing her true name would enable them to cast harm upon her.

Giving you a basis to create a character sheet around the identity, and a little blurb for a possible noble phantasm.
"With the passing of the Age of Gods and the start of the Common Era, Mankind has become the most prosperous species in the world. The fate of the planet is in our hands. We are the ones who will write its epitaph. Thankfully, there is a map to prolong mankind's survival and ensure its everlasting prosperity.
In the world of magi, this is known as... the Human Order."

Welcome to Chaldea. You are the best of the best. At least that what we’re telling you. But we’re just thankful you’re here at all. Chaldea exist as an observation facility primarily. But since the founding of our organization we have found the odd moment in human history that is a blemish. A point that exists to mangle our timeline, and send humanity off its course. These are better known as Singularities.

To combat each Singularity, a team of four mages are gathered, and then sent into the field. Summoning Heroic spirits in the process. Chances are you have had time to talk with your servant from a prior summoning, or perhaps the servant summoned in done on the field. It’s your choice.

Consider this your mission briefing in that regard. The facility has been in need of fresh blood for a while. You’re it.

Your first point is a small singularity in Fuyuki. Something about things going off path. Anyway, small squabbles like this happen all the time. Show up, find who or what went wrong, and set it right. Time will set itself right when that’s done.

Are you ready? Don’t respond, we’re sending you there now.

Rules
1 - Don’t Godmod
2 - Be a decent person. If you have a problem with another player, you are invited to tell a GM. We’ll do what we can.
3 - There will be only four Master slots. But Eight Servant slots. Each Master can provide mana for two servants at a time.
4 - If a servant dies, the player is allowed to perform a re-roll. If a Master dies (Which is less likely) they are not allowed to re-roll until the end of a Singularity. If a Master quits, another player is allowed to take over the character, and replace them when the Singularity ends.

Servant Gatcha:
While likely unnecessary, the mods have elected to include a Gatcha system. We have made up a list of Servants/Classes, and if interested you can ask to roll the Gatcha. One of the 20 options will be rolled up, and you will be allowed to roll again, or go with that idea. (Or decide to do something else entirely.) It’s for those who have an interest in random chance.

"Let's take these people with us and get to work. I want that cup."

Straight to the point. Such a strange man, or perhaps boy. But that was good. It made it clear just what the relationship between Master and Servant would be. He was an anchor. Good. That way when Caster was put to death for his grail wish, it would be all the easier. Gesturing to his snowdoll, Vladimir made it more than clear that he like his servant was impatient.

And nothing made one more fitful than sitting in a plane ride for hours. His brief time to prepare his stuff was more than enough to pick up just who he summoned. A man without love. Well, he'd know more about him in time, or perhaps not. Arrival at the base was more than thankful, as it meant he could put his mind to setting up his workshop, rather than other such things.

Saber

My Boyfriend is the Holy Roman Emperor

"A Saber? And one of the Holy Church? It seems that you've struck gold indeed Master of Saber. But Miss Saber I must suggest you control yourself. Surely you know by the nature of your summoning that these people are as knight brothers, and sister to you. God doesn't look kindly on the murder of the innocent just as he looks down on killing one's family. Or did you not read the story of Abel, and Cain? Still it is nice to meet your acquaintance as a member of the church, and fervent believer of the holy spirit. Though I do suggest you do not start conflict with some of the others here. Clearly they are from a time less blessed by the savior."

"Oh dear member of the church, you seem to be mistaken." There was nothing but a sweet smile on Saber's lips in response to his overblown speech. "Cain was punished for believing his murder was justified against Christian blood. His spilling of blood was needless and unjustified. Mine though? Totally justified." The way she said that was like it was a revelation. But that was probably a result of her skill. Incitement. Anything she said may as well have been a mental attack designed to make others agree with her. With that though, she was already wandering off, and then...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
She stepped off the plane, and then stood with the rest of the crowd in front of the church. She had collected nearly a hundred plus outfits from the stores during their 'supply run.' Her master's debt rising, but it was necessary. She had to be absolutely beautiful if her lord was to love her properly.

An entire paragraph could be spent describing her short shorts, or the over-sized straw-hat, or just about anything. But that's a waste of time. Just imagine it as something really mis-matched, and for the wrong climate. It must have been a jolt if one was aware that this was an Archbishop.

"Um... You're a priest right?" Saber said, looking to Father Howard with a slight huff. "Right, so you're going to invite me into the upper floors. As an Archbishop, I outrank you." It may have been a major surprise to realize the most poorly dressed individual in the crowd was a holy god-fearing bishop. "Also, I'll be going over each of your holy documents to update them for any inaccuracies that might have occurred through translation over the years. I understand that god's word can be easily misunderstood. In particular there is something I heard on the news about God hating fags. Clearly a horrible typo. The original was very clear about it being figs."

With that said, she stepped forward and scooped Father Howard up in a bridal carry. Taking him away as she marched right into the church, leaving the group behind to discuss what had just happened.

"What an odd Saber you have summoned." Vladimir said. "I hope she is as strong as she is strange."

His glorious blade snicker-snapped through the air. His blitz unstopped, and his wild fury echoing through the air. The mind of a berserker, especially one like Roland's was an enigma. A screaming windstorm that may as well have been running on the most primal of mankind's instincts. After all, when all that could tie him to his humanity is his sword, what can stop him?

As Honda rolled to the side, his overhead swing continued on. The grip of the sword spinning in Roland's hand, as he impaled the ground where his target had been standing nano-seconds earlier. The holy blade sunk into the earth, piercing it like butter as the madman held on tight. And he kept moving. A tiny hop was more than enough for him to clear the sweep of the Lancer's spear, momentum carrying him past his sword. But still holding it tight, he let that momentum carry him in a circle. As if he was poledancing around the handle.

Poledancing in such a way that all the power from his charge carried into a kick. A kick aimed squarely at Honda's skull. A blow that would rip through his armor and splatter the insides of his skull all over the ground. Which he might have been able to avoid if his plan to push off with his spear worked.

It didn't. Because when Honda's attack missed Roland's ankles, that wide initial sweep continued until it hit something. That something was Durandal. The sword struck hard into the ground, and due to it's nature as an unwavering sword of peerless power, it was not cut. The impact was sure to jolt the hero of the era, breaking his own momentum for the priceless moment in time he would have needed.

Instead, Roland played kickball with Honda's skull. If not that, then the mere motion of air pressure from his strike should slam against Lancer with all the grace of a baby elephant fired from a cannon.

"I kinda wanna give this to my sister. You think she'll be less angry if I gave her a picture made in blood?" It was a strange question. But Chieko couldn't be more serious as she looked at one of several paintings she had repossessed from the home/studio of the now deceased master of Lancer. It was actually pretty tragic, since while the value of each piece had risen substantially, there wasn't anybody to sell it to. At least not right now at least... When the war was over sure, but it wouldn't help her in the short run.

"But to be honest, Nobukara, art appreciation isn't why I called you here." Chieko explained. Placing the portrait down, and brushing the frame lightly for luck. "It's because I was checking the supplies and I noticed something. Each of these paints are made with blood. Nothing bad on its own... But he labeled each case." Slipping a hand into her robe, the shrine maiden pulled out one particular vial of note. On it was the writing of the formerly living mage, Hemlock Reguim. "This one in particular stood out to me. read the label." Passing it over, she turned the front to Nobukara.

'Old Man SERIAL KILLER!?'

"Whatever he discovered, he died before he could investigate it further. I doubt the man involved in his death was too deeply involved beyond the grail war, but I think he might have been onto something." Chieko said, taking the vial back as quickly as she could to keep it close. "Weird stuff is going on in this war. And not just weird stuff like 'Ha this man died' kinda weird. There are more than seven servants. That alone should be impossible judging from the ritual's information. We've had servants and masters dropping dead all war, and who even knows where the grail is going to materialize? I suspect it's not just a grail war that's going down in Paris." There was a scoff on her lips as she spoke.

"Anyway, I need you around tonight because I'm going to be performing a ritual. At least two mages, and we need somebody to protect us while we devote our attention to it. Of course I have Yojimbo, but... I feel better having you and Archer around, okay?"

While most had begun to bicker, or perhaps already show their distaste with the current proceedings, Vladimir had zoned it all out. If not for the grip of his assistant on his shoulder, he might have left the room altogether. His disgust with other human beings was clear on his face, especially as the defenses were explained to them. A defense system that would require him working with others directly? He was an alchemist, not a man who cared about illusions! He had dabbled in them, but it was mostly on the regular folk when he had been acting in steed of his ancestor.

Adjusting his coat, he stood, and walked with the others. If he was in the mood for curses he might have had a few in mind, but he didn't act on them. After all, he needed his karma high if he planned to ever finish his research. The ring in his hand flittered between fingers, and a hiss on his lips as he saw the summoning circle in question. It was certainly of a quality required, and no doubt adjusted in advance for several mages to use it together when summoning their servants. No doubt they would deny him the chance to summon in a private room, but he doubted the subject of his servant's name would ever need to arise. That was if his catalyst was any use.

He took a scarf from around his neck, and folded it tightly together. Placing it on the ground first, he put his catalyst on top. So that it wouldn't be dirtied by the ground. Just in case he needed to use it later or something. He turned to his assistant, and nodded at her. She nodded back, and stepped further from the circle. If desired, he could very well have used his blood, or perhaps his associate as a catalyst to summon his ancestor. But despite his power... He wasn't sure it was wise to summon a demon to war like that. And his heart wouldn't take the dishonor if they were to die. No, best to summon another hero.

"Let silver and steel be the essence. Let stone, and the archduke of contracts be the foundation..." And so began the ritual. His servant slowly forming in the air before him. Praying... That it would be somebody with an answer to his problem.

She was no rider. But she came to conquer, and that meant her horse did too. The clatter of hooves no doubt drew attention, as upon a white stallion... SABER APPEARED! Dressed in the armor of war, a sword held aloft in such a way that she was stabbing the chandelier. Whoever Kaybernett had just summoned was... Wild at the very least. The clippity clop of hooves filled the air, as the stallion began to walk around the room, carrying its rider upon its back.
"My goodness, the world has certainly changed!" She declared as a grin like the Cheshire cat crept over her lips. "This is good. Very good. If I bring him glory here, than for sure he will be without hesitation in the praise!" She swooned, as if ignoring all the people around her. "Oh, I know just what he'll say. He'll stand before an audience, brush his hair to the side and declare in no short words 'this is truly my most trusted of God's helpers! Her pure maiden heart has slain the evils of another time, and has carried back to me the Holy GRAIL!" Her blade swung through the air, and decapitated a nearby statue with ease.
Only as it fell to the ground and shattered did her sense of space come back.

"Oh, sorry there! Are you all okay? I hope I didn't startle any of you. Unless you're all heathens who don't believe in the love of god. Then I'd have to kill each and every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ. Though I guess the pope wouldn't approve... He never did approve of my more liberal approach to worship. That's why I stopped answering his letters."

His run was unimpeded. Good. There was nothing Honda could have done at that range to really slow him down anyway. He was like a runaway freight train, and yet he didn't need to slow down at all. Because at that moment, what lay between him and his retreating enemy, was a building. A BUILDING THAT WAS SIDING WITH A SARACEN! With all the subtle grace of a Boeing 737, he crashed through the front doors of "Tim and Eric's Accounting firm." Thankfully, both Tim, Eric, and their secretary were at a noodle shop three blocks down celebrating that they finally managed to turn a profit, and nobody was around when a crazed blonde man tore through their glass doors. The rest of the building was a mostly straight hallway with a backdoor at the far end, so Roland just blitzed through and smashed through that. Leaving two broken doors, and a mangled desk that had been in his way.

This shortcut meant one thing in particular. As Honda was touching the ground, Roland was blasting his way through the emergency exit. A steel door spinning through the air, unintentionally aimed towards Honda's exposed backside as he retreated. Even a moment's hesitation from Honda would allow the blitzkrieg'ing Berserker to close that gap. "IT'S ME!" Roland roared, as his makeshift projectile door was baring down to rip Honda in half.

Sword in hand, Roland's attack began. The glorious blade Durandal began to hack back and forth. Each attack a pinpoint strike, as the air seemed to explode around him with each snap of the blade. A barrage of blows, each building on the last in a way a wild instinct might. A primal instinct. If for a moment Honda slowed, the blade would surely slice through an unguarded limb, or simply batter him till his bones broke.
