"Fuuuuck," Asahi drew the foreign word out into a pure expression of just how tired he was. He hated the first day. Or at least the travelling of it. 4:30 AM was way too early to get up. Four hours was far too long to spend on a train. Especially the Tokyo line. At least he'd managed to catch some sleep on the Shinkansen. His parents had long since trusted him with the trip on his own, seeing him off at Kameyama, but it was such a headache to carry everything he needed. He stopped at the Starbucks, head lolling slightly as he placed his order. It always cost more here, but he needed the stronger kick. Breakfast was a FamilyMart nikkuman. Asahi chuckled as he put the coffee into his flask and the nikkuman into his bag. Here he was already eating like a journalist.
The queue was always long outside the MT Line gate, and when Asahi got through the benches were all taken. "Fuuuck..." He moaned again, finding the fourth years' part of the station, 3E, and sat on his rolling case to eat. It wasn't that he didn't want to go back to school. Henshusa-senpai was only a year away from graduating, and Asahi hoped to take over from her. And the Quidditch season was always fun, as was being able to walk around the change rooms without being chased off. He might be Ka, but the captains knew he was fair. And there'd be a new batch of first-year reporters. That was Asahi's favourite part. They were explicitly under his charge this year, even if he'd only had the one pet to shadow him last year. He felt himself getting excited despite the early morning. New year, new season and new koheis.
