You know, I should make more warm, crisp, New York style bagels with an soon and smear them in cream cheese, then top them with thin sliced onions, capers, and smoked salmon... Anyone want one? ;D

Bio

Greetings and salutations, my friends!

I am the Revenant Writer, but you may call me Reven, or really whatever you would like (within reason and good manners, thank you), and I am nineteen years of age.

I am very diverse in my interests, so I enjoy doing practically everything from hiking to horse riding, currently own a small farm, am an animal whisperer, an artist, a great cook, an entrepreneur, and am working steadily to bring to life my many stories in the form of books, graphic novels, and eventually video games, films and TV.

I am intrigued by most genres, including slice of life, action/adventure, sci-fi, fantasy, supernatural, gothic, steampunk, alternate universes, and on. Dark and gritty, more realistic themes are my preference, and I will practically curse many of my characters with misfortune when appropriate, but I am open to most all ideas.

Some romance is fine with me, and I will go fairly far with it, but I do draw the line at writing intimacy and am not interested in the lovingly nicknamed 'smut'. Just not my cup of tea. So, thank you for the interest... but, no, just no.

Mid-Casual and up is my preference, with world building, plot and character development being of utmost importance. I ONLY RP in third-person and find first-person not only confusing, but extremely awkward.

Currently, I am mainly interested in doing 1x1 and small group. PM me if you are interested in starting something.

Best regards,
-Reven

If you are serious about being open to trying non-fandom stuff, I'm looking for people to write with and you seem like a cool guy.
I have a plethora of ideas in most/all genres, so as long as you are willing to help carry a good plot, I'm up for writing with you.

PM me if you are interested and we can talk,

I read others' 1x1 and group RPs on occasion, but normally, not so much...

Generally, I feel that the 1x1 RPs are just too silly and thrown together to keep with, as I've found that a lot of them are just for the purpose of sticking a couple of hot characters in a loose plot and seeing how soon they will fall 'in love'. I'm not into reading others' fantasies, so I stay clear of them by keeping my nose out of 1x1 RPs that aren't my own.

I've had what I'd call 'readers' on some of my early stuff on another site, sometimes 6+ at a time when a partner or I posted a new piece. Even now, every once in a while when I check out those old stories, I often find that there are still people viewing them.

It is partially for this reason that I like doing public RPs, as both the feedback and idea that others are enjoying the story as much as I am helps me grow as a writer.
@Pair of Hearts

Hey Heart,

I completely understand where you are coming from. I've had the same thing happen to me a few times and no matter how much you try to NOT feel irritated, disappointed, etc. about it, it just gets under your skin.

Now, I totally get if someone can't reply 'cause they are too busy (happens to everyone) or can only reply to a few RPs. But don't you think they could say something first?! You know, something polite and simple like 'I'm really busy right now, so sorry, but I can't reply for a few days'. How hard would that be?

I'm also new to the site, and am not fond of making enemies, but when I read your post I couldn't help but get a bit upset myself. And anyways... I haven't ranted in a long time, so I guess a little one was overdue.

Oh, and I PMed you in reply to your 1x1 RP partner request, by the way. :)
@Fantasy Shadows

Wow, I needed a cookie-cup! YOU MADE MY DAY!!!

LOL, thanks for the gracious welcome, everyone. I feel all warm and fuzzy now. Really, I do.

@ArenaSnow

Thank you, and I'm happy to be here.

I know what you mean, and like you, I'll play either (and do), but so many people just won't play male characters, so that leaves me to play them all the maturity of the time.

From what I've seen, most rule players are gals, and most gals don't understand guys, so I guess it makes sense that female characters outnumber males dramatically. Eh, I don't really mind, though.
Michael Punke, is that you?

Alas, no. But nice guess.

Revenant Writer is just one of my pen names, as 'revenant' (French) literally means 'coming back' and is the term for a member of the undead, usually a vampire or the like... See it now? I'm a vampire writer!

Just kidding...
@Lady Amalthea

Thanks, Amalthea.
Already I've spotted some pretty snazzy looking stories that I may just apply for, so hopefully, my fancy will be tickled very soon. LOL
Hello everyone, :)

I just joined the Guild, and am currently a member of another ruleplay site (ask me if you want to know the name). I've been writing for pleaseure for about three years now and ruleplaying for two, my preferred writing styles being casual and advanced, with deep plot lines and in-depth character development.
I enjoy most genras, including action/adventure, fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, etc., as long as they have a stronge base of realism and logic. By that, I mean that I like things believable, and yes, you can make magic believable. In addition, though romance as a main course is not something I usually write, I will do so (and do so well) if the story entails it.

The site looks great, so I'm sure I'll find my type of writers here and I can't wait to start writing here,
-Reven

P.S. I am well known for my male characters, so if your RP is in need, tell me and I'll come check it out. In my experience, there always seem to be far too many female characters... ;)
