Maybe. They definitely come here less often, for sure. But coming and going instantly when you’re like us is just so easy. If you smell a single modicum of trouble stirring, you can just be gone in an instant, like you were never here. It’s easy to dodge conflict.

That’s a question that varies depending on who you ask. Some fight a lot, seeking it out like they live on it. Some don’t at all, avoiding it like their life depends on it.

But conflict finds its way here very frequently. Likely because the type of people in the massive web of connections are also prone to having powerful and petty enemies.

Everyone who was harmed greatly by the Balkan War or Nemid conflict nonsense. Because honestly? I don’t blame anyone who still says they need time to recover after either of those. Existence is frail, right now. As a whole.

The way it sprung about makes sense. A group of people who met and bonded, established a place where they would meet, and their connections all independently started coming here. Repeat that process like a strange, convoluted family tree by several… Many steps and you’ve got an accurate diagram of this place and its visitors.

It kind of is. People have tight connections to some, loose connections to others, and the level of connection between any two people who come here is not the same as the next. So it’s hard to reliably say I could rely on help from one of the many people I just honestly do not know that well.
