That’s cute. I’m glad that everything has worked out for you two.

Thanks! Hope you enjoyed the life story.
<Snipped quote by Revolutionary>

Do you two talk?

We do, now. Pretty often in fact.
<Snipped quote by Revolutionary>

Isolated. Was that on purpose?

It was. I learned afterward that my dad was confident in the lessons he learned from his mistakes with Omega, and didn’t want to personally tamper with my growth. I’m happy to know he’s proud of how it all turned out.
<Snipped quote by Revolutionary>

So I’m guessing the guy that—
*Nods my head toward Rhoan*
Was talking about didn’t qualify as one of those people.

I admittedly didn’t get to know him super well. On my journey, I interacted with no one from this group, not even my own dad. So whenever I would have interacted with Lunar, I would have been at my maximum level of cluelessness…
BUT, now, I say Lunar is a pretty cool guy.

Since you already know philosophy, how do you know that those ideals are really important to you instead of something you can’t decide for yourself?

I’ll put it like this. Where I started was point A. Where the ideals my dad had are point B.
*Holds up a finger on each hand*
I was at A, and had B, but there was nothing in my mind that connected the dots between them. So it was just nonsense to me, for a long time. But as I made friends, and became attached to various people and things in the world, I slowly made progress toward it-
*Moves my fingers closer together as I speak until they touch*
Until bam. One day it clicked. The ideals and philosophies became important to me, because I had found people and places that were important to me.
<Snipped quote by Revolutionary>

Are you resentful over having those starter ideas wired into you?

No. I could decide to be that way, but I’m not for a few reasons. I was made for a reason, in the end. My dad didn’t just make me for nothing. I appreciate that I was allowed the ability to become my own person, and on a deeper level, I appreciate him for allowing me the opportunity to learn the importance of those ideals myself as well.
<Snipped quote by Revolutionary>

What happened with him?

He ended up not liking people very much. At all. Pretty much drew all the wrong conclusions from ideas he was born with. Which is why I was then designed only with the seeds sprinkled in, but still allowed to go out and attach myself to the world, and develop as a person all on my own.
<Snipped quote by Revolutionary>

Why didn’t the people who made you help out?

I did it on my own, because I wanted to. But it was also kind of another thing that I was kind of designed to do anyway. It was my dad’s second attempt to artificially create a successor to his ideals and will, and the first attempt didn’t exactly work out when he tried to hard-code it. We call him Omega, and he’s not a very nice guy.

Aww, that’s sad. Can you at least look back and laugh now?

It’s hilarious now. I can look back and laugh. But I get that pang of “Eesh, wow, I really did that, huh?” Mixed in with the amusement.
<Snipped quote by Revolutionary>

Did they realize you were still learning how everything worked?

Often. Not always. Probably even more often than I recall, people probably just thought I was weird.
