Aliquam: Academy of the Arts - Theater Hall

Trixie watched with puffed cheeks as Fabian took off, though she let out a loud, exasperated sigh before getting too carried away with her antagonism. The deed was done. The thieves were stopped before they could tear down the entire school, though the damages done were already hefty enough. Excluding the fact that they were getting away unapprehended, perhaps in this sense they had already won their share of the battle as well. Trixie shook her head wildly, tugging at her braided pigtails, as she plopped back onto the floor. No use dwelling on it.

“But that was… tiring. How is everyone? Is everyone okay?”

Amy had already started moving to the busted door hinges by then. "Perhaps." She opened the door to meet Lute on the floor, with Moira and Syed behind him and Estelle still lying beside the wall. The statue of a thief was no longer in sight.

Angel too noticed this. With all the thieves taking off, it seemed like most of the guilders, if not all of them, were within each other's sights now. However, despite his pain and their victory against the Masked Phantom, and despite the damages done, the aristocrat's worry was on something entirely different now. Angel staggered out from where he and Xandra had hidden, limping as he swiped up his die from the middle aisle and continued towards the door where Amy stood, which was not too far.

"Where's my sister?"

Amy twitched her mouth. "She's... fine."

"But where is she? Don't tell me, that she's alone out there."

Amy turned back from him and continued making her way out. There was no need to draw tension within the group now. "She has her communicator. You can speak with her if you like. I'm going back to see if I can assist her further, although..." She looked to the four guilders outside and their pained expressions before looking back to Angel behind her. "We should probably get some medics, if Aliquam has any - at least for Rose's sake. We've suffered enough casualties in this brawl, and I'm just one cleric."

It pained her that she couldn't assist everyone all at once, but if Rose was going to be moved somewhere safe anytime soon, Amy wanted to focus on ensuring that she would be able to be lifted without spikes of pain running through her ankle. She was grateful Rose was just a short walk away from the others, and she could only hope that any other injuries sustained were light enough to be able to sleep through overnight.

In the meantime Angel took Amy's word and stumbled towards the (non-broken) chair nearest to him. As long as his sister was okay... "Hey Dollie," he called, being within earshot of Dalia now. "You don't think the town's medics will kill us for asking for help at stupid o'clock, do you? Hahaha..." He slouched back even further into the chair, weakly chucking his die into the air and catching it. Well... at least he scored a date with a cute chick in the midst of all of this. Even if his stomach was probably ten shades of blue by now.

As per Xandra's suggestion, Angel remained buckled down as well; he was already hurting too much to even contemplate getting back on his feet anyway, but so long as he and the chick guilder were safe from where they remained, furniture and anything else with a killer instinct in this hurricane would have a much more difficult time reaching them. Any fights nearby them had been interrupted due to the heavy winds - hell, he could barely even make out what on earth the Masked Phantom was saying.

Everything stopped in an instant. Whatever had been hurled in the air came crashing down; Angel muttered his gratitude in a foreign tongue as he released his head from his clutches. He eyed Xandra to make sure she was okay before reaching for the (stable) chair nearest to him and pulling himself up to see what was going on. The glasses'ed guilder stood with his hands in the air as he calmly chastised the surprised Phantom.

He turned to Xandra again, wanting to inquire about what this could mean, but the moment he looked away the entire room was sent rumbling. Angel nearly dropped back to the floor, only to see the giant hole caused from Dylan's creation beyond Xandra's head. His mouth gaped open slightly, though he quickly caught himself by bringing a fist to his mouth and coughing into it. Angel had heard so much about Dylan's mastery at art before he left Aliquam for the guild - but nothing to this extent about what kind of power he wielded within his ability to practically speed paint. Seeing the giant, statue fist spoke volumes about just what the artist was capable of. The aristocrat shook his head in disbelief.

"Does this mean... we've won?"

His eyes flitted to Francesca and Jay next, who were just across where he and Xandra were huddled. It didn't seem like the Phantom would be coming back. At least, Angel hoped it would remain that way. Would the other thieves back down now?

Trixie was undeterred by Fabian's antics as she continued to bark back with her own, ignoring the boy's threats. However once the maelstrom kicked up, her eyes widened as her hands went to clamp down on the beanie atop her head. Being on top of the kid meant she was in more danger of flying off, and she scrunched her eyes in trepidation. Suddenly she found herself plucked off the brat and huddled by the backside of the chairs nearest to them, with an arm wrapped around her backside to keep her down - Amy.

"Ames!?" Trixie called out, unaware that the cleric had even entered into the room. But Amy remained unresponsive, instead focusing on keeping herself and the prankster buckled down. Especially with her own pigtails flapping into her face, Trixie could not even bother to look back towards Fabian. He had the upper hand in their duel now thanks to Amy swiping up Trixie and holding down a defensive stance - but Tobias too intervened before Fabian could even respond on time.

A bright glow caught the duo's attention next, as they were able to catch it from their peripherals. Trixie called out to Amy, questioning if she had anything to do with the brightness, though Amy again said nothing. She bit her lower lip. If this was how chaotic all their magicry could get, these thieves were going to get everybody including themselves killed--

Then the winds just... stopped. Marcus had spoken up next, scolding the thief leader. But before the girls could even figure out just what was going on, a giant fist came out of nowhere and beat the pants off of the MP by blasting him through a hole in the theater's wall. Yeah, no big deal. They had two summoners on their side so it wasn't like this was out of the ordinary or anything. Right? Well, Amy thought otherwise, as she continued to stare at the creation with her jaw hanging. Judging from Dylan's position from afar, he must have been the one who... but that kind of power, he couldn't possibly be...

"Aaaa-hah!" Trixie threw herself away from Amy's loosened grasp, scrambling to get back on her feet. Though Tobias and Fabian weren't even looking in her direction, Trixie stood tall on her two feet and, panting heavily, pointed a finger in Fabian's direction. "How many times we gotta knock it into you that you lose! You should--"

"Trixie," Amy called, still looking away to the manhole. "That's enough."
Yeee, watching Guardians with my bro on Thursday. :)

Keiiii best of luck with getting those classes you want. I know how much of a fit I'd throw if I had my preplanned schedule wiped like that ><

Side note, but my bro and I are gonna be working on packing up our stuff and looking for a new house to move into. Stuff's gone down at home and we literally can't afford to live at our current place any longer. x( I'll still have time to post of course, though if we manage to find a place to move to before my flight to England I'm gonna be helping with the transition. Not quite sure what that means re: internet connectivity though, but at least I've got my phone and bluetooth keyboard if worse comes to worse. I really don't wanna leave you guys hanging with my own chapter lol x.x

EDIT: Post is up! >< Had to afk for a bit longer than I had hoped mid-post ahhh. My bro needed help with giving Riley his fluids since he moved around unexpectedly and drew blood again. Bro didn't have much time to help Riley after he was cleaned up either since he has work in the morn, so I took over for him. I'm really sorry if this cut into anyone else's posting sched (I pretty much reserved this spot for like three hours ugh), especially since I know at least two people usually post around this time, more or less. :(

Next thing Amy knew, the little runt appeared behind her and tried to nab her staff. She had gotten used to Trixie pulling pranks like this and knew just what to react with - a motherly slap on the face - but thankfully for Lute's intervention it didn't come down to that. Instead both boys were knocked to the ground due to the virtuoso's clumsiness.

Amy let out a deep sigh through her nose as Lute stood himself and iterated just what was on her mind. The lighting from Amy's gem dimmed just a tad as she extended an arm to Estelle's direction. After taking Moira's hit, Amy couldn't allow her to remain down like this. Estelle's body glowed a warm, golden hue, along with Amy's own.

At this point, the younger thief had made a dash for the performance hall. Twitching her lips, Amy allowed the light her gem gave off to die down and she chased after the boy. The bodies of both Syed and Moira glowed a very faint golden before Lute shut the door between groups; there was no way those two could keep up with the vigor after all they had been through but if Amy could at least keep their injuries and fatigue as numbed as possible, she would.

Lute might be a weird one, but Amy had faith he and Estelle could keep the tall one at bay. Syed and Estelle's sword should help with their lighting. She hated the thought of leaving them behind like this, especially after leaving Rose the same way, but if they were all struggling against two thieves they outnumbered, who knew who else inside needed her help?

Voices - voices everywhere! Suddenly that whiny blue-haired kid and some dude she didn't know stepped into the fray, themselves shielded within her smog as well. This was just great. If it weren't for these meddling buttholes she might've had a clear-cut shot at that lady, but now there was too much risk she'd blindly shoot at someone who wasn't her! She remained crouched low with ears open, listening again for a feminine voice... before that was cut off by even more voices.

Ugh! Her plan backfired! And it was such a good one too. During her confusion she found herself bounded by something, causing her to drop her guns a second time, before she was thrown out of the smokey screen towards Fabian. She crashed right into him, knocking both of them to the ground.

Trixie quickly got back on her feet once she realized just who she had crashed into, though the dizziness nearly sent her landing on her butt again. "You! Stop being everywhere and let us win for once!"

She might not have had her guns, but she had enough pep in her to tackle Fabian, swiping at his face with her gloved hands like they were fiesty cat claws.

Jay loosened his grip. Good, good, that gave him a chance to breathe. All he had to do was wriggle himself out of the thief's grasp while he was still distracted - but still the aristocrat stood no match. Xandra luckily caught note of this and went for the punch... only to land a hit square in Angel's face. While it was enough to knock him out of Jay's hold, Jay retaliated by knocking Xandra back to the floor. Even with Dylan's encouraging call and Angel's general smugness, he wasn't sure how much longer he'd be able to hold up before he wiped out.

He began backing away from Jay, a determined but injured expression fixed on his face, until...

Was that... bird poop?

"Hah... hahahahaha!" Angel fell onto his back and rolled to the side in laughter. He didn't even notice that Xandra had pulled him up until he stopped to breathe. When they had stopped running from Jay, now closer to Trixie's side of the playing field but just far enough from her smog, Angel fell into a chair, still having flits of chuckling. Today was just too much.

"You're really... hahaha! You're really, saving my life today. Can I, take you out to dinner after this or something? Please?" Perhaps that'd make up for her punching him on accident. Angel's expression had calmed back down to one of smugness, although his eye was scrunched shut from the earlier hit. He rubbed a tear from it - though whether that was from pain or laughter, even he didn't know.

His eyes widened suddenly. Was that... a chair? Flying right at them!?

"Watch out!" He threw Xandra out of the way in time and fell over as well, just in time to dodge death by furniture. Even without the impact that could've had, the landing was still rough and Angel groaned loudly in agony. The pain, however, subsided just as spontaneously as the killer chair had shown up. Both Angel's and Xandra's bodies were encased in a warm, golden aura, thanks to Amy.

Still on the floor in fetal position, Angel could only pray that his sister was safe in the midst of all this chaos.
Post is up! I hope the action in my post compensated for my absence, orz. Hope it's okay I changed things a wee bit differently than how Kei worded it re: Francesca's chair hahaha, but if it's not I can change it. It's just a minor thing :>
In the meantime, I'm gonna answer Fox's question. :D These don't have an order either. I really should check out Hell Girl, Gurren Lagann, and Cowboy Bebop. Tokyo Magnitude 8.0's title reminds me too much of the 3/11 quake though so that's one I'm probably shy away from orz.

My sleep schedule is really messed up right now ^^; Sorry for the MIA again, I literally spent like the whole day sleeping. I'll post (and respond to Fox's q 8D - all my middle school nostalgia inbound) soon as I'm able to in the morning!
Happy Chinese Valentines~ <3

Buns lmao @ video. It's so optimistic <3

Unfortunately I cannot post tonight. As for tomorrow, I have some errands to run after my exam, but I'll try to be back as soon as I can. >< If someone needs to briefly move or control one of my characters, please feel free to!

On Jig's topic: I was in a similar community as well. It was on Gamefaqs instead of an RP-based site though, but I was always RPing with folks in the social boards lol. I didn't think sites actually dedicated to RPing would actually employ this. On the site you mention, what if the "owner" of a canon character leaves the site and never comes back? Was there a rule for how often you had to be active? What if the owner couldn't write that character well at all though? lol
Joining an RP is like joining a club. The person hosting the club has rules they expect you to follow. Sometimes club-leaders are lenient, sometimes they're not. If you join the club and are well aware of the host's rules and disagree with them, you are more than welcome to find a different club that appeals to you. No need to start an argument and potential drama over their (subjectively) nonsensical rules when you can just as easily find a better club, or host your own club with your own (subjectively) better rules.

I think this is a valid bitch for me too since I've had this happen twice to me: in a club I was a part of in high school, and in an RP as well. Thankfully I was just a bystander in both situations lol. Imho, it shouldn't be this hard to live a drama-free life and to just... idk, leave if you don't like the rules there. *shrug* Just thought I'd introduce a different perspective while we're on the topic.

EDIT: I type really slow orz. Also Orpheus, I hate that too, when the killing is done to another RPer's character, especially if it was uncalled for / wasn't forewarned. :/

Trixie hunched over as she passed her guns, skidding along and swiping them before whirling around to face where she had just came from like an ice skater. Guns up. She panted with worry etched on her face, ready to shoot - but the perpetrator was nowhere in sight. There were fights behind her, to her left, and to her right - but this was the one she had to--

"Stop now… or I will detonate the charges we’ve laid."

What?? He totally would not. Not while he and his friends were still inside. He was sooo bluffing. Right? Pah, she couldn't let her guard down, especially not while on the hunt.

Still keeping her guns up, Trixie eyed the Phantom without a change of expression, then darted back to where she had ran from. Now her guns were facing different directions, as if scanning the room. She perched herself atop a chair, in hopes of seeing Francesca hiding between rows, or creeping up behind her - but there was nothing. The sudden roar of Lucien's bear was enough to startle her in this state, but then it vanished in a puff of smoke. Smoke... smoke, smoke...

Disgruntled, Trixie suddenly chucked a smoke bomb to the floor beneath her, enshrouding her and her side of the sector in a thick pink smoke. The smog crept a bit into the central aisle and down towards the main stage, but it did not expand wide enough to interrupt anyone else's battle. Inside the smoke Trixie crept down and roamed between and over the seats and aisles, free from sight as she searched for her predator.

"I know you're here!" she called. "I can... uh... I can smell you!"

Before Angel could properly stand himself off, he was sent through the air and back to the floor again, this time being the one crashed into. Xandra looked pained as she recovered from the fall, but like any good fighter she got herself back in the game quick enough and offered Angel her hand. The aristocrat accepted her help to rise once the daze in his vision had returned, though he stayed behind as she charged forward after Jay again. He was definitely not suited for fighting, especially not an extended one. Oh, if only the circumstances were different. He had lost such a perfect opportunity to hit on a metal-armed babe he was sure he'd never get again.

An unfamiliar cry caught Angel's attention next. He looked up in time to see the Masked Phantom blast through the air from... Lucy, was it? Wow, everyone was just flying around today. Maybe he'd actually grow wings for once if he--oh, oh Aislin! Angel picked up enough determination to begin charging - just kidding, staggering towards the center aisle. Unless his eyes were playing tricks on him, his beloved die had dropped during the Phantom's launch away.

Just when he thought it was his lucky day. He hadn't even gotten close to the aisle before he found himself unable to breathe suddenly - locked in Jay's chokehold. He sputtered, trying to shove the thief off of him, to step on him, to do anything to free himself, but it was no use. He was injured and exhausted enough, and now in a vulnerable position like this...

Gods damn it. He knew he'd regret skipping out on middle school gym class.

Slap fights, name calling, scolding... the deadpan expression on Amy's face expressed her disbelief. What, was everyone inside having kindergarten quarrels too? By this point, Moira had begun to lose it - a true beserker terrifies even her own allies. Geez!

Syed had to repeat himself to catch Amy's attention off Moira. "The lighting?" She thought about going after the sword as well once Fabian began screaming, but it seemed like Syed already got that covered. Didn't look like anyone was deathly injured outside anyway (aside from Moira converting her hurt to adrenaline), so she could afford holding off heals and buffs for a moment; if they wrapped this up quick, they could help the others inside just as quickly.

In compliance, Amy held out her staff, allowing both her own body and spinning gem to glow a luminous white. This cast shadows among those too far from her, seeing as she was on ground level instead of ceiling, but it was better than total darkness and extended flickers.
