Emilia sat down, exhausted after the last hours of window shopping. It was fun with Lann, everything seemed to be fun with him, but she could tell that she wasn't the only one stealing glances at the other and thinking about that lollipop in her bag. Her mind was still trying to catch up with the relvealed past of the both of them, but she slowly managed to cope with it. She was still rather irritated that they hadn't remembered sooner though. Sure, Lann might be right that they hadn't met too often with Kat and Daniel around, which would explain their lack of recognition and Lann looked, as people usually did, much different from his kindergarten-child self all those years ago, but not even his name had rung a bell with her.

With Lann holding onto her hand and almost dragging her along, they arrived at the nearby park. Surprisingly many people were around, considering that the sun would soon start setting and Emilia glanced around as they sat down but turned to Lann when she felt a tug on her hand, the one that held the bag with candy and watched Lann freeing their lollipop of its packaging. He was right, it was a little part of both their childhoods.

Fascinated and a little embarrassed she watched him licking the big rainbow-coloured lollipop and glanced around, suddenly wondering about her bold decision to share it with him. Luckily, they were a little away and out of sight of most of the other people and at the moment, noone seemed close enough to notice them. Her cheeks flushed bright red, Emilia leaned forward, nipping at the lollipops edge, her eyes locked with Lanns, who was tasting it at its other side. She sat back up after a few seconds, licking her lips and enjoying the flavour, though for a while too embarrassed at her bold actions to look Lann in the eyes again.

Hey :)
I'd be interested in kidnapper x victim, rockstar x shy girl or prince x servant!
Takiko felt a little crestfallen at hearing that the surrounding houses had nothing they could use and though she was grateful for Ryan to give her the painkillers he had brought with him, she felt a little hesitant to take them. They had no relation at all and she couldn't expected him to give away what he might need himself somedy, to complete strangers. It was nice enough that he had helped her get James up here and then even searched the surrounding houses for the three of them. She noticed him looking outside and wondered whether he was going to stay with them or leave before it was too late.

Then her eyes fell onto James who was gazing around the room then he something seemed to catch his eye. "Do you guys know that guy?" he asked, his voice still raspy. Takiko whirled around, staring out of the window. There really was someone outside. She scowled and got up, her hand reaching for the gun in the back of her jeans as she moved forward, positioning herself at the side of the window to get a look outside without being seen. "Never seen him... Do you know him Ryan?" she asked, stepping away from the window and looking at the other guy.

This could be a huge propblem for them. Even if the guy didn't notice them and wouldn't make use of their kind of desperate situation by attacking and robbing them, if he were to attract the creatures attention, they'd be in serious trouble. While he'd just run and leave, they were pretty much stuck here. For a second she looked at James, lying helpless on the bed, barely able to turn his head. She didn't know why she was so determined about it, but she wouldn't leave him here. Maybe she'd been away from other people for too long and was now seeking some company or she felt protective of her, first and probably only, patient. She didn't know, but she wasn't going to leave without him, no matter what.

Takikos eyes swung towards Ryan. He'd been nothing but nice and helpful, but while she somehow trusted James, probably because he wasn't that much of a threat at the moment, she wasn't so sure about the other guy. And she couldn't expect him to risk his life just like that. "It would be fine if you want to leave. It's getting dark and this is not exactly the safest place. I'm thankful for your help, really, but you have no reason to risk yourself like this." she told him earnestly.
Emilia watched Lann looking at the sweets store and a wide smile spread across her face when his face lit up and he answered: "You bet!" They headed for the shop and she blushed slightly as he held the door open for her like a gentleman. Once inside they both started looking around, taking in all the different kinds of sweets. She glanced at Lann, watching him happily sampling a few kinds as she looked around for her favourites as well, though she knew exactly which she liked best, since she'd already been in that shop a thousand times with Kat over the years, But it never got boring looking at all the colours, shapes and what she loved most was the sweet, always changing smell surrounding her as soon as she stepped from one display to another.

She picked out a few different kinds of candies, some caramel, some fruity ones and some nougat, before turning around to see how Lann was doing the second he turned around to wave a familiar lollipop at her. "Emilia! Remember when we used to share this together?" he asked her, grinning. Her eyes went wide and she stepped close, reaching for the lollipop in his hands and taking a closer look at it. She had seen it a few times over the years and had always been close to getting it as well, but somehow, and it sounded stupid because it was just candy, she had never thought it felt right to get it.

"I do." she finally answered Lann, her eyes shifting to his and holding them as pictures entered her head, of a young boy her age with that same hair and those same eyes and she suddenly felt like she had found something she had lost a long time ago. "It makes sense now.." she murmured to herself, because it did. It made sense now that they'd hit it off right away like that. That they felt so close and as if they'd known each other forever, even though they had supposedly just met for the first time yesterday. And it made sense that Emilia trusted him so much, enough to let him walk her home, to invite him in even though she had known they would be alone and even enough to lead him to her room in the complete darkness and having been reluctant to let him go. Or that she had kissed him, though on the cheek it was still something she had never dared to do like that before.

Emilia cleared her throat at the memory of the slightly awkward, intimate moment in her room the night before and looked back at the lollipop candy. "I'll get this." she decided, a smile spreading on her face that then turned into a grin, that she directed at Lann. "We can share." she added with a wink, then turned to pay up, trying to hide the red in her cheeks a bit and that she still felt a bit confused at the sudden revelation. When the cashier had finished ringing her up and she had paid, she grabbed the little plastic back with her sweets and turned back around to Lann, scowling lightly as a thought came to mind. "How come we didn't remember earlier? Daniel and Kat didn't remember either, though I'm pretty sure they were there as well, at least sometimes." And what happened that seperated us so thuroughly? she added in her mind, but didn't really want to discuss that at that kind of place.
Emilia already had to concentrate hard to recall what had been taught during the chemistry lesson that morning, since she'd been a little distracted herself by Lann's not showing up. Now, concentrating properly got harder and harder for her. Lann had moved his chaur next to her and sat so close, she had the feeling his scent was everywhere. Which didn't mean that she didn't enjoy it. A small smile had managed to creep onto her lips while she explained to her best ability as Lann copied her notes to complete his own. She hadn't noticed Lauren bringing their order until the waitress had placed their cappuccinos right in front of them and said to Lann: "Getting a little close there mister- Watch out, Emilia might bite!"

It earned her a sharp glare from Emilia, whom she ignored though, in favour of amusing herself with Lann's embarrassment. Her smile reappeared when she saw Lann swatting away, who looked at Emilia as she left. She grinned at the other girl, before returning to keeping up with Lann, explaining her notes to him, now taking a few sips in between. She tended to drink slowly, especially in this cafe, for while it had a great atmosphere and she really loved it here, she thought it rather too expensive to indulge herself. Lann seemed to feel the same way, nursing his drink slowly, but not complaining about it or anything, which relieved her.

She glanced at him, and whenever their eyes met, they'd hold them for a second, before moving on. Emilia wondered again, why it was easy for her to be around him and be natural and herself. She'd always felt a little awkward around guys she didn't knew too well, Daniel and Sirius were a different matter of course, but with Lann it was just as if they were supposed to be like that. As if you have known each other for a long time.. her thoughts distracted her and she blinked when she realized Lann was done with chemistry. Together they moved on to math, now switching roles, with Lann explaining what she didn't get as they did their homework. History and Theory PE followed and it seemed like time seemed to go by way faster with Lann around than it usually did when one had to do homework.

When they were done, Emilia was suprised as she realized how late it already was. She packed her things together, putting them back in her bag and watched Lann finish his cappuccino. She had finished her own a few minutes before. Lauren came again, with the bill and Emilia got her wallet, handing over the money with a little tip as Lauren commented on their obviusly tired state, making Lann laugh. "Hey!" she murmured, anooyed and pouting, then grabbed the money from Lann and was off with a "Bye!", friendlier because she looked at Emilia, but still pouting. Emilia laughed and shook her head, then turned to Lann. "Don't mind her, she likes to pout." she explained with a smile.

"It looks like we still have some time to stroll over the market, you up for it?" she asked him, wondering whether she looked just as tired as him. Most likely, she did. They got up and left, waving goodbye to Jimmy and the still fake-pouting Lauren, before stepping outside and heading for the first market stalls. The stalls werea mix of vegetables, fruits, other food, as well as all kinds of other things. She saw the sweets stall she had always gone to with Kat when they'd been younger and right next to it there was one with jewellery and scarfs and next to that one she saw some cute picture-frames and other decoratives. She smiled at Lann and pointed to the sweets stall. "You got a sweet tooth?"
Takiko just sighed as she noticed James trying to get up anyway, not paying any attention to her words and waited until he found out for himself that getting wasn't an option for him at the moment. She had no idea how long it would take for him to recover, she could just hope they'd be able to move him somewhere else soon. They'd already been in this place for too long. The chance of the creature finding them was growing more and more likely by the minute. They weren't loud and couldn't be noticed easily from outside, but Takiko was sure that those creatures had their ways to make them out anyway.

She heard silent footsteps behind her and turned to look at Ryan as he stepped up next to her, keeping his voice low in order to not alarm James. "When did he wake up and how is he now?" the younger guy asked and she was just about to answer when she glanced at James and noticed that Ryans appearance had alarmed him plenty. His eyes were fixed on Ryan and even though it was audibly hard for him to do so, he forced some words out. "Who the hell are you?.. And why the fuck do you have a sword?" he breathed.

Takiko blinked. Her eyes wandering to the sword. How the hell had she not noticed that sooner? She shook her head to herself, keeping herself from thinking too much about that, since it wasn't important at the moment. She reached out for James again, lightly placing a hand on his chest. She made sure to catch his eyes and look at him as she answered him with a calm voice. "This is Ryan. He helped me get you up here." Takiko wasn't sure what more to say, since, really, she didn't actually know anything about the guy standing behind her. Also she did not really trust him that much. Suddenly, something came to mind. SHe turned around to Ryan. "Did you find something? Some painkillers, maybe? Or,.. well, anything?"
"Take care." she told Ryan earnestly as she watched him leave the room. He wouldn't find anything in this house, but if he was lucky he'd be able to collect some things from the other houses close by. She just hoped there weren't too many creatures around. She continued with tending to her hands, focusing on it, but making sure to keep an ear out for any sound downstairs.

Heavy breathing and murmured words snapped Takiko out of her, strangely calming, treatment of her hands. She turned her head to look at James, who was mumbing something about 'nightmare! and 'isn't real' to himself, and then noticed his eyes were opening slowly. She sighed deeply in relief. She'd been worried ever since he'd lost conciousness, with a headwound like that you never knew whether he'd wake up again. "Takiko", she heard him rasp, his voice full of pain. Hurriedly she finished patching up her hands and got up, sitting down on the bed next to him.

Carefully, she placed a hand on his shoulders, not wanting to startle him. He looked military and seemed to not be entirely awake yet, so she preferred being careful over alarming him. "Don't move." she told him soothingly, putting a bit of pressure on his shoulder for just a second. "I stitched you up the best I could and I think it went pretty well. How are you feeling?" she inquired, feeling a little helpless for being unable to do anything else for him. She glanced outside and noticed the sun was starting to set, then looked at the door, wondering when Ryan would be back. Or if her would be back at all. He had nothing to do with neither of them, there was no reason for him to risk himself by staying in this place for too long. Still, she hoped he'd return, not only because she could use his help with James, but also because she had the feeling they should stick together in these times and circumstances.

A shiver spread over her bare skin, giving her gossebumps. It was getting colder, she noticed and her eyes went back to James, who was lying with ehr hoodie under his head and her jacket spread over his torso, barely covering him, but better than nothing. Her eyes wandered to meet his and she gave him a small smile. "I know you likely don't have an appetite, but you should eat something, you lost a lot of blood. I think I've got some canned soup somewhere."
