Emilia already had to concentrate hard to recall what had been taught during the chemistry lesson that morning, since she'd been a little distracted herself by Lann's not showing up. Now, concentrating properly got harder and harder for her. Lann had moved his chaur next to her and sat so close, she had the feeling his scent was everywhere. Which didn't mean that she didn't enjoy it. A small smile had managed to creep onto her lips while she explained to her best ability as Lann copied her notes to complete his own. She hadn't noticed Lauren bringing their order until the waitress had placed their cappuccinos right in front of them and said to Lann: "Getting a little close there mister- Watch out, Emilia might bite!"
It earned her a sharp glare from Emilia, whom she ignored though, in favour of amusing herself with Lann's embarrassment. Her smile reappeared when she saw Lann swatting away, who looked at Emilia as she left. She grinned at the other girl, before returning to keeping up with Lann, explaining her notes to him, now taking a few sips in between. She tended to drink slowly, especially in this cafe, for while it had a great atmosphere and she really loved it here, she thought it rather too expensive to indulge herself. Lann seemed to feel the same way, nursing his drink slowly, but not complaining about it or anything, which relieved her.
She glanced at him, and whenever their eyes met, they'd hold them for a second, before moving on. Emilia wondered again, why it was easy for her to be around him and be natural and herself. She'd always felt a little awkward around guys she didn't knew too well, Daniel and Sirius were a different matter of course, but with Lann it was just as if they were supposed to be like that. As if you have known each other for a long time.. her thoughts distracted her and she blinked when she realized Lann was done with chemistry. Together they moved on to math, now switching roles, with Lann explaining what she didn't get as they did their homework. History and Theory PE followed and it seemed like time seemed to go by way faster with Lann around than it usually did when one had to do homework.
When they were done, Emilia was suprised as she realized how late it already was. She packed her things together, putting them back in her bag and watched Lann finish his cappuccino. She had finished her own a few minutes before. Lauren came again, with the bill and Emilia got her wallet, handing over the money with a little tip as Lauren commented on their obviusly tired state, making Lann laugh. "Hey!" she murmured, anooyed and pouting, then grabbed the money from Lann and was off with a "Bye!", friendlier because she looked at Emilia, but still pouting. Emilia laughed and shook her head, then turned to Lann. "Don't mind her, she likes to pout." she explained with a smile.
"It looks like we still have some time to stroll over the market, you up for it?" she asked him, wondering whether she looked just as tired as him. Most likely, she did. They got up and left, waving goodbye to Jimmy and the still fake-pouting Lauren, before stepping outside and heading for the first market stalls. The stalls werea mix of vegetables, fruits, other food, as well as all kinds of other things. She saw the sweets stall she had always gone to with Kat when they'd been younger and right next to it there was one with jewellery and scarfs and next to that one she saw some cute picture-frames and other decoratives. She smiled at Lann and pointed to the sweets stall. "You got a sweet tooth?"
