Lance

It seemed that the acorn and snake had both calmed down at this point, at least enough to reveal their names. Nathan and Jeri - now, he knew the names of everyone who'd gotten trapped here with him. Lance hoped that it was just the initial shock of waking up in a new body that made them act the way they did earlier, and that it wouldn't be a regular thing.

Now that he had a moment to think, he was finally able to take a good look at his new body. Though he wasn't sure exactly how big he was, he was clearly a lot smaller than a human. If he had to guess, this body was probably still very young. The same seemed to be true for the others, as well. More than likely, they would grow over time, but the real question was how long that would take.

In response to Jeri's question, Lance shook his head. "I've said this before, but I'm clueless when it comes to Pokemon." He then turned to the other two. "I assume you two would know? The way you've been speaking, it's clear you know something. A great deal more than we do, at least."

When the snake scolded him, Lance was quick to defend himself. "I don't care who made the fire. I refuse to endanger myself by going out in the storm. If you want to do so, then that's your problem." It seemed that Trevor, Vi, and Ravi all decided to ignore his advice and brave the storm. Even without the lightning, they risked freezing to death, or possibly meeting their end at the hands of this world's wildlife. They really had no way of knowing what they'd run into out there.

For now, the four who chose to stay could only wait. As there wasn't much else to do, Lance began to speak to the others, specifically the two that hadn't introduced themselves yet. "I suspect we'll be staying together for a while, until we find a way back to our own world. I think that, at the very least, we should know your names, yes?" Though he was confident that he'd get a name out of the yellow snake now that she didn't think she'd been kidnapped, he wasn't so sure about the acorn.
Who’s in the guild right now - and I thiiiiink I’ve read a few characters are currently fighting the Guildmaster too, so leave it to Breen to knock on the door and barge in soon...

EDIT: Holy shit I just realized I haven’t posted about Breen outside of the guild in over 5 years lmao

The Guildmaster was kidnapped. They did fight him, but they're nowhere near the guild right now.

As the lizard began talking, Lance felt a bead of what he assumed was sweat roll down his face. He started backing away from the fire, continuing until he was at a more comfortable temperature. It seemed that this new body of his wasn't very tolerant of heat. Now that he thought about it, one would expect a slight chill at the very least inside of a dark, damp cave like this one, but he hadn't felt any discomfort from the cold, even before the fire was lit.

The explanation was long, but Lance did at least have some idea of the rules of this world. He wasn't entirely sure how these 'types' worked yet, but he assumed he'd figure it out on his own eventually. According to Trevor, his were Dark and Steel. Considering that his entire body appeared to be covered in metal, it made sense. It seemed that certain types had advantages against others, meaning that he'd have to remember which ones he would have the upper hand against, and which would have the upper hand against him. On top of that, he wouldn't know at first which type the other Pokemon belonged to.

Some of the others opted to go out into the storm. "I will not be joining you. I'd advise all of you to stay here as well, but if you really insist on going..." Lance stood up, and walked to the mouth of the cave. Remembering where he'd seen the light, he pointed one of his daggers in that direction. "You should try searching over there. That's where the light was." He then returned to his place at the fire. "Also, I would keep an eye on our serpentine 'friend' if I were you."
I'm curious, what are we limited to on changes? o.o My interest is piqued

Dragons, Gryphons, Phoenixes, Chimeras, Golems... I think there might be more, but that's all I can remember right now.

@Lugia, do you have a species list ready?

While Lance could barely make out anything through the downpour, one thing did catch his eye. There was a light out in the forest below them. It only remained visible for a moment, vanishing moments after the Pawniard spotted it, but at the very least, it meant that they weren't completely alone. That area would be worth investigating later, after the rain died off. If they could find the source, then that would be their first step towards finding civilization, or maybe even a way to get back home.

His train of thought was suddenly cut short when a lightning bolt crashed down dangerously close to him. In that moment, he suddenly became aware that he had metal all over his body, and that basically made him a walking lightning rod. Unwilling to risk another near-death experience, he backed away from the cave's entrance. If someone else wanted to have a look outside, they were more than welcome to do so, but he was staying in the shelter of the cave.

At this point, one of the cave's other inhabitants, Vi if he remembered correctly, floated over to him, resting on his head. She was surprisingly lightweight, so much so that he may not have noticed she was there if she hadn't made her presence known. She asked for info, but he didn't have much to tell her. "I'm afraid that I'm just as lost as you are. The others seem to be saying we've transformed into Pokemon, but I've never played any of those games in my life."

As she asked him about what he saw outside, his thoughts returned to the light. "Out in the distance, I could see something glowing. I only saw it for a moment before it faded away, but there's a chance that it could be from a camp or settlement." They could check it out once they got out of the cave, but for now, they were stuck here.

Since there wasn't much else they could do, Lance figured that they should at least try to get more information out of the others. He made his way to the now successfully lit fire. "I believe you were asked a question earlier. Don't you think you should answer it?" He sat down across from the lizard. "You seem to know a lot more than a lot of us do. The least you could do is explain it to us." His eyes moved down to the fire, and it was at this point that he noticed the lizard's tail. "I very sincerely hope you aren't intentionally trying to light yourself on fire."
You already know you have my interest. Let's see how many more people we get.

By the time Lance came to his senses, the pain in his head had faded. The ground beneath him was cold, hard stone, certainly not the level of comfort he was used to. As he opened his eyes, he was expecting to find himself lying in the same place that he was knocked out. Instead, though, he was greeted with something far more unusual. He was in a cave somewhere, surrounded by a bunch of strange creatures. Not only that, but his body had been completely transformed. His hands had been replaced by what appeared to be small daggers, and there were a few more blades protruding from his chest and stomach.

He listened in on the conversation the others were having. Apparently, they were all formerly human, so Lance wasn't alone in that regard. Starting with Trever the orange lizard, the others began to introduce themselves. The floating head was named Vi, the more sinister-looking of the two snakes was Ravi, and the bird was named Celina. "I am Lance." He chimed in. After bringing himself to his feet, he wandered over to the mouth of the cave. His eyes scanned the cave's surroundings, searching for any sign of civilization, but there appeared to be nothing but wilderness.

At this point, one of the cave's other inhabitants began throwing some kind of tantrum. It seemed that the other snake thought they'd been kidnapped. "Someone calm down the stupid-looking one. I'd rather walk out into the rain alone than endure the sound of their voice for a second longer."
