"A guard huh? With me, Gippal and Urick we should be relatively fine but I guess it's expected for them to be cautious. The waters have been a bit restless as of late."
" Mostly for the Civilians on board. We do understand that many Blitzballers are capable warriors but with so many people on a concentrated area only begs for an accident to occur. Also like you said the waters have been growing with more Fiends as of late, only a precaution. She was starting to sound like her mother...
Alex huffed a little as she mentioned she was a fangirl of Gippal when she was younger"Aaaaawwwe I see. You're a Cottenhead fan. Bet you were surprise to see him not as cool as he seems when he's not blitzing or surrounded by adoring fans. He's really a clumsy goof." she mused, though her tone gruff, she had a amused grin on her face before glancing toward Urick. She did hit it on the head, it was strange to see the man who she still had a little crush on, act so clumbsy and down to earth, generally nice... Besides the disappearing act for five years. Not the same guy she saw on the Sphere. Alex continued She did notice Urick really quiet...and was his face a little red?
"These two always had girls swooning over them. They really don't know how to handle them though. Probably didn't help that I'd always make them train with me or go bug Nai. You two do suck for ditching us without a word like that for five years ya know? If I didn't understand wanting to go out exploring the world and that I'm happy to see you're both not dead, I'd beat the shit outta both of you." Alora was surprised to hear that they lost contact for so long. Course she did hear it before from the frail girl she was assuming was Nai? How could they do that to their childhood friends? She shook her head it wasn't her place to judge. She looked at Alex as she mildly glared at Urick and Gippal and she glanced back but soon grinned and shrugged it off and back to her to Alora.
"Hey maybe a cute nice girl like you can teach these numbskulls some manners. Me and Nai can't seem to get through to them." She chuckled and grinned teasingly. Although she knew it was a joke it still caused her to stand up straight with wide eyes and blushed cheeks. "I um..." Looking at Urick and Gippal. Don't get her wrong, she would like to spend more time with them. But her teach them Mannors? If Alex couldn't do it she probbably couldn't. " I don't think I could, but thank you "She laughed a little awkwardly,
Alora watched as the strange woman and to say strange chocobo rode by, Alex stroked it as it passed. The chocobo reminded her of her parents, who were originally Chocobo Knights. Something she thought was a little cooler than the youth league title. But they were disbanded. It was one of her dreams to reassemble it, but with the world moving forward as it was, chocobo's were quickly becoming Obsolete,
"Still weird." Alex said before walking into the bustling town. Alora followed and stopped behind her.
"Awesome! Everyone sure went full out! Looks like a lot of good food too!" It was true Alora was looking forward to some food. She was surprised on how big it was.
She looked at Alex as she was glancing between Urick and Gippal. "Hey, you two want to pay a visit to the temple? It's been awhile right?" Alora had already seen the temple, and didn't want to intrude on them as they were likely to catch up on everything. She watched as Gippal and Urick looked at each other and seemed to have a conversation with just their eyes...and how he agreed to go. Did she really just see that? She watched Urick who seemed pleased with the decision. She couldn't help but narrow her eyes with her mouth slightly open. How... It couldn't have been.
She was distracted however as suddenly two people decided it was a good time to spar... in the middle of town! It was the half ronso from earlier and another Ronso. After watching the fight she was surprised on how short it was, and she was unimpressed sadly. She had seen more interesting fights with other youth league members.... of course they were older and had much more experience, Again she shouldn't judge. She did notice Urick perk up at the beginning of the fight, and Gippal explained that he always wanted to spar with every ronso. With no weapon on him she guessed he used his fists. She would have enjoyed to see that, him wrestling with a Ronso. Not many humans can even imagine to do that...but she bet he did really well.
She watched as the two who sparred walked away, and as they did she wondered how she should leave this group. As she thought before she didn't want to intrude a childhood reunion. Perhaps she should just slip away...
