Welcome, @Kal-El! I hope you and @Superboy are on good terms. Not sure which universe you both are from, but I'm pretty sure that you guys probably have some weird relationship somewhere in the DC Multiverse.
Name: Sako, Arata Hero Name/Alias: Mr. Compress Gender: Male Age: Fifty Five
Background:
Arata was forced to bear the sins of his father, resulting to him being shunned by most of society. However, even with the infamous reputation associated with his family, he continued to pursue his dream of becoming a hero. What he lacked in opportunity, he made up with passion and perseverance. Even as a young professional, he always felt an immeasurable amount of doubt from his colleagues ; frequently being labeled as the son of a criminal by the general population made things even worse.
Motivated by the frustrations he was forced to face on a regular basis, Arata eventually made a name for himself due to the numerous accomplishments he has garnered over the years. Through sheer effort and persistence, he was able to rise through the ranks of the hero community. Wanting to give back and lend a helping hand to those in need, Arata decided to establish an institution for aspiring heroes and heroines, hence Kosei was created.
Moved the OP a bit and included a few new things. I guess the most important one would be the discussion of possible spoilers.
Some of us might not be too familiar with the manga, so let's keep our discussion limited to the information given to us from the anime. If it can't be helped, try your best to not make manga-related information too apparent in any of our threads. If you want to discuss your theories and whatnot, maybe you could do it via PM. I'll try and create some sort of Discord Server for the RP if we get more participants.
By the way, feel free to ask about the Rankings and the Points that were mentioned in the update. Here's the brief Q&A I had with Tominas. The information might be of use to some of you.
Q: Can you only challenge students of a higher rank than you? A: You can challenge any student, but there isn't that much to gain when challenging those lower ranked than you. Rejecting challenges is also an option.
Q: Are we ranked yet? A: Currently, everyone's unranked.
Q: You get expelled when you lose three challenges, regardless of if you're the challenger or the challenged? Or is it if you lose three when you challenge you get expelled? A: I used the word fail and not lose. The three lose rule only applies to the challenger.
Q: Does a member of faculty have to witness it? A: Yup. A faculty should be watching to make it an official challenge.
Q: Are there universal rules to challenges? I.E., does it have to be a fight, or can it be any sort of task? A: No hard rules aside from no killing, I guess. But regarding the details of the match, I think I mentioned that it's up for the challenger to decide. One can skew the challenge to make the odds work for them, but if the handicap is too obvious, one could just reject an unfair challenge.
Q: Can those challenges involve other people? For example, if challenged, could I choose a 2v2 volleyball match as the competition? A: Depending on the challenge, but the answer is yes. The only difference here is how you'd handle in dealing with the trading of ranks.
Anyway, I'll have more time in the next few days, so if any of you want something to do/need GM intervention, just tell me so that I can type up a quick scenario for you guys.
