Thank goodness I've not been shot at. I will wait for some of the others to post before my reply, which should be later tonight.

Another thought just came to mind, what with the end of the Clone Wars, there would likely be wreckage - certainly around Coruscant, and other systems that would allow other players to find navigational data. i certainly doubt it has all been cleaned up yet
Sep said I never understood it. I mean you saw them in rooms with several aliens speaking several different languages at the same time. So the translators > English does that not mean that the crew will hear both the alien then the English? When translating from English wouldn't the aliens hear both English, the translation for them and the translation for the other aliens creating an annoying echo?

You would get an echo yes, and a highly annoying one, and also why in UN Summits everyone wears headphones so that does not happen, and they only hear the translated aspect.

Sep said Would it not be worse when trying to discover what language someone was speaking?

Well there'd be no echo, but actually trying to understand stuff from a limited exposure more-or-less impossible without a wide selection of material to compare to, I'd guess.
Sep said Mhm, Trek always has that nice translator wank going on as well.To be fair everyone speaks english in the current group, going with the understanding that Galactic Basic is English.

OTL Trek does, most certainly. Not sure about nuTrek though.
Sep said Also Rogerd would you not Understand the EDF vessel? It is to my understanding that they too speak English. Hell so far it has actually worked out pretty well and eveyrone speaks English.

Possibly, it also why I mentioned in my post that they were not responding anyone, even those speaking English.

My initial first draft of the post had them not understanding anyone, even the Imp's - but I figured that would make things problematical in your RP as no one would understand anyone - thus meaning we couldn't really converse. So i decided to keep it simple and all that.
Woe is me, woe is me. lol
Sep said God RogerD, get it right.

*Smacks self in head with book*

All better now.
Sep said Venators. Who uses Acclamators in orbit? Acclamators are troop transports and seriously undergunned vessels. Venators are the ones with the guns.

Aaah....I get 'em all mixed up nowadays. lol
Sep said Well for one they think they have reached a new planet worth feeding them, instead they found a galaxy ripe with life though they don't know that yet. They will probably not be too happy with you for doing that though.I know I am going to shoot at someone before this is over :P

They'll be somewhat grumpy about my tactic that is for sure. They're be likely to either scan, or follow me with a dart though. They most certainly will fire on the Acclamator's in orbit though
Sep said Taking cover behind a Wraith Hive. That is a great idea.

Thanks. The idea came to me while I planning my post while having some toast. Now not sure what the Wraith will think of that move
Question, what has happened to the larger editor we used to have on here? And having to use html code all the time? Do most people use word? And does it copy the formatting straight across?

Sep said Will get another imp post up after RogerD gets another post up to keep things moving as those not posted yet haven't really appeared yet.

My post is done. They let the Wraith ship overtake them and used it as shield to stop the Imps from firing on them. Obviously the more they pull away, they'll become visible but likely at extreme range for the impy's though.
