for this players can take on the roles of most beings in either - with the exception of higher tier entities.
I was thinking what if both worlds were actually combined, how it would change the setting? It might require a brief bit of cooperative world building, but not too much I hope.

For the purposes of this discussion we'll have to make a few rules. For the purposes of this, let's ignore season 8 Buffy monsters, as the whole things starts to get iffy once we get real winged angels and lesser gods (Elohim)

Elders are the Powers that Be. Which is near enough anyway.
Hellgods are beings that were empowered by the Hollow dozens of centuries ago.
There are two types of vampires, those possessed by demonic spirits (Buffy), and Charmed ones. both are at odds with one another. Angelus was not popular the second type and sought to actively waste the bastard, and failed.
The Source and the Underworld is a pocket dimension and sometimes tries to interfere only to find that the PTB's are a little more active, and were those beings that ran away from the Old Ones during the Primordium.
The Old Ones built the Hollows and a few other artefacts to easily empower those worthy.

What other changes or additions would be required so that we can get this going?
I haz posted.
USS Aurora - Bridge
Katie listened intently as a message came in from the Illustrious. “Captain, our sister ship seems to have regained limited warp capability and it seems Commander Lannigan has some interesting news for us regarding their origin, in fact of all the ships present.”

“Don’t wait all day Lieutenant.”

“I believe their Captain Noelle would like to explain it in more details.”

“I’m not going to like it, am I?” He watched as she shook her head. With a sigh he rubbed his face both hands. It seemed that plain old fatigue was getting the better of him. Unlike Kirk, who seemed to be walking machine, able to keep going no matter what – he was somewhat more human, “Sorry, Katie.” He said apologetically. “Starting to feel it, as I am sure most of you are?” He didn’t wait for answers. “Okay, Lieutenant Frank, punch it.”

With a familiar lurch, and a pulling sensation they went into warp, albeit not for very long. Within seconds they slowed coming out just beyond the edge of the system. In front of them were many ships of unknown designs and configurations. He couldn’t help but stare in awe. So many first contacts were possible here that it befuddled the mind.

Katie then spoke again. “We’re getting a message.”

Sundered Echo said “This is the Systems Commonwealth ship Valorous Intent to all vessels. Our sensors show that a number of you have taken damage - we are able to assist with repairs and provide medical aid.”

“Okay I want you to reply.” He closed his eyes briefly and took a deep breath, trying to garner up some internal reserves knowing full well that this was about to become an extremely long day. “This is Captain Peter Weston of the USS Aurora. We and I suspect most of you have been attacked by the Imperial ships more-or-less without provocation. When we intercepted some messages it appears they have gone through some form of Civil War vying for control of the Senate. So although we had no choice but to resist, it will now mean we will now all be hunted at least until this situation is resolved. So I would suggest no one goes back into the system. And perhaps we all agree further rendezvous coordinates as I would suspect they’ll track us down within a day or so – if not sooner.”

Rubbing his chin, could feel a day's worth of stubble. He wondered how people managed to grow beards without a terminal case of itchy chin. Maybe he was oversensitive?

"I would like to formally open communications in which to discuss how to resolve our situation, and what we should do from here on in." With that he gestured for the channel to be closed. All they could do now was wait.
I will get my post up tomorrow morning.
Sep said From your video Flamelord I ended up watching .Those visuals.

I can see why you might like that, it is very nBSG like. And I may watch that movie tomorrow if it isn't too hot.
Sep said Well didn't see the careers officer as he was meant to set up something in Dumfries but didn't turn up when I was there. So will need to make an appointment at the closest office :P

Sorry to hear that dude, that is totally pants.

Sep said minor headache right now, no mojo to post. Will get to it definitely today.

Don't force it dude, it'll take the fun out and make it a chore - this is supposed to fun for you too. Why not leave it until tomorrow and post when you're more energised?
Okaty I've posted, albeit it is a bit short. Under some time constraints at the moment though.

Sep said Today I am off to see the RAF careers officer in a couple of hours, when I get back I'll post as the Hive and the Imperials cursing all your names,

I hope it all goes okay dude.
Click This said She turned back to Alara. “I know this may be a bit much at the moment, but we actually have no dedicated tactical officer. He was due to come aboard tomorrow… A day too late. The console interface we have may be different, but the essential functions should be the same in principle... I suppose we’ll have more time to discuss our situation after getting out of here.”

USS Illustrious - Bridge
Alara nodded, “Absolutely Captain. I’ll what I need to, to keep your ship safe. And so will the Aurora.” As it was her feet were killing her, and she was glad to be sit down at her console and got to work, and hoped this situation would not intensify anymore than it already had. All they could do was sit, and wait.

USS Aurora – Bridge
The Captain was waiting for the Illustrious to set course, they’d just relayed some coordinates to some other ships for a rendezvous point just outside the system and hoped they could all meet there. After the cataclysmic mess of one ship exploding, and taking some others with it, he doubted that remaining near to the planet would have been a good thing. So they set course at full impulse and caught up to the damaged sister ship as best as possible. He only hoped things could not get any worse, or of reinforcements arriving too soon as the lst thing they needed right now were more hostiles.

He looked at the helm, “How long until we reach our destination?”
“A few minutes” came the reply.
“Good, keep it up and take whatever sensor readings you can, and ask the Illustrious to do the same. Maybe by working together one of us may pick up something the other may miss.” He paused for a second. “Actually, see if the Illustrious can make a short jaunt to warp – may make us harder to track. Until we know what kind of superluminal travel they’re using.”
"So do you want to jump to warp now?" Asked the helmsman.
"No, wait for the Illustrious to signal they can, and then follow."
"Yes, sir."

I'm being a massive procrastinator, so sorry about the no post.

Same here, especially with the heat here in the UK - it is a bit stifling and it doesn't help that we've never bothered really gearing up to compensate for inclement weather - like at all. When I was at school it used to remain open even in two feet of snow, now the whole country stops. And the same is true in excessively hot weather like it is now.
