Ok, so I guess my experience with TotM is very differently than what you all are describing. All I'm saying is that there isn't any grids or visuals. There is still rolling to attack, for damage, for abilities, etc. There is still combat, just not grid-and-figurine style.
@clanjos well, I'd still like to unify what character sheets are used for character balance purposes. I'll edit the title to not have a specific edition.
@Zobozun I am going to use the rules. I'm only not using the combat rules, unless I'm misunderstanding your question. And secondly to unify character sheets.
Looking for a group of adventurers for a D&D campaign. I'm familiar with DMing, though I haven't done too much of it, and I prefer the "Theatre of the Mind" style play. For posting order, I'll post descriptions and any reactions to player actions, then everyone else posts once. I don't have a ton of free time (school, work, other work), but I can garuntee that I'll be on every weekday at least an hour, and maybe a few hours on weekends (that's when the majority of my classes are). Races and Classes can be Homebrew, but PM me the source for any HB classes so I can review it (and all Homebrew classes need to be 5E homebrews, just for simplicity's sake). For CSs, I'll make an off-topic thread, so just use Myth Weaver and link the sheet, please.

This campaign is one I started with some friends, but didn't get far. Here's my intro:

Ages had gone by since the King had talked to the people. Guards started doubling their posts; getting more aggressive. Someone's gotta do something. Nobody knows what, though. All of Krazias is holding her breath, wondering what goes on behind the slowly-rusting doors of the King's Castle while the rest of her slowly decays into chaos.

It's not much, but the campaign is kinda generic in type: get from an outskirt town to the Central Kingdom's castle and figure out what's going on with the King. I'll work on the intro more as I am able.
Lawfully Good would think that this city to have some defence against these immortal bombers, so she would fight against them in hopes of finding their source while defending the city. The reward of a job well done would be enough of a reward for this character.

Neutrally Good would attempt to find out how to join the bombers, and do so, reporting back to the employer as soon as possible without causing a scene. This character wouldn't ask for anything in return, but want as much information on the bombers as possible.

Chaotic Good would just join the bombers, destroy their base, and report back to the employer. Hoping to kill off as many of the bombers as possible. Maybe they're only immortal when they're bombing? This character would be enticed by the immortality.

Lawfully Neutral would only intervene if the bombing broke any laws. This character would most likely be too busy otherwise with helping this town get itself back into a lawful state anyway.

True Neutral would really just take the job to get the immortality. Once that has happened, she would probably leave town with her new found immortality.

Chaotic Neutral would ask the employer for money (up front) and join the bombers, siding with whichever one was most fun. Once invincible, probably going to join the bombings until bored. Once bored, this character would blow up the bombers' HQ and leave.

Lawfully Evil would organize the crime, ask the employer for money, talk to the bombers with threats of jail or blocking them in their HQ. Once quelled, and money gotten, this character would then use the bombers to extort "protection money" from the townsfolk.

Neutrally Evil would screw everyone over. Join a crime ring, kill the employer, join the bombers to get that amazing immortality.

Chaotic Evil would be going into the town whilst trying to kill everyone in there. If the employer somehow evaded the killing spree, the interview would go horribly, with the employer dead after telling this character about the bombers. Immortality gained, and killing everything with it.
@link23454 I second this. Plus finals weeks suck :/
@Camerch@FantasyChic

Not technically 100% dead. Just lack of posting and persistant interest. And @Camerch, technology is slightly more futuristic (think Dishonored weapons, but in a modern, non-steampunk'd, setting). Sorry for not responding to that right away, I didn't realized you edited in the question
Cecelia had been observing the other three during their week on horseback. They seemed like talented mages, but still questioned why the tactical leaders for Marric decided to send two mages and a scout. It's an odd group composure to say the least. If they wanted force, why not replace herself with a mage or warrior? If they wanted stealth, why not send several scouts with maybe one warrior or healing mage? It just bothered her how little sense it made to send her with two mages. Once arriving at the edge of the Wilds, Cecelia listened to the mages voice their curiosity to Loghain's story in the Wilds. Cecelia nods as she hears them, because her curiosity, too, is piqued.
@FantasyChic That's correct. You just need its cover story (just saying that it's a bank or a surveillance agency with unknown purposes)
@TheRebelKnight No problemo. I'd rather point it out than you be confused.
