There's a panhandler who hangs out on the street corner by our dispensary every afternoon with a sign that just says "Green 4 Green?" and tbh, I respect my boy's confidence.

Bio

Personal Profile

Name: Taylor
Pronouns: They/them
Age: Mid 20s
Relationship: Married (happily, I might add)
Time Zone: Arizona (we hate daylight savings, so it's MST year-round)
Writing History: I've been on a number of different roleplaying websites for over a decade and a half
Hobbies: Writing, fitness, driving/exploring, hiking, camping, traveling, tabletop games, anything NEW (I love trying things I've never done before)
Roleplayer Profile

Format: 1x1s only. Maybe I'll try a group RP again someday, but I've never had one last longer than a few months
Posting Speed: Depending on my schedule, I can usually post at least once per week
Favorite Genres: Modern, Historical, Romance, Action/Adventure, Horror/Dark, Fantasy, Slice of Life, Dystopian, can be convinced to write some Sci-Fi
Hard 'no's: Fandoms. Sorry, but I can't maintain interest in characters/worlds I didn't build with my partner
Template: Public threads or PMs. I prefer to keep all my RPs in one place, so no emails or G-docs or the like
Rating: Comfortable with 18+ content, but it's not a necessity and I prefer not to center a plot around explicit scenes
Level: Advanced. Will consistently provide around 400-700 words per post, but can occasionally leap to 2000+
Character preference: One main character, but large side casts are greatly enjoyed. Because I write long posts, I prefer not to double
Gender preference: Male. You'll be hard pressed to convince me to play a female that isn't a background character. It's just not my forte
Romantic Relationships: MxF or MxM (currently prefer MxM)
Character Images: Faceclaims or detailed descriptions only. I envision the characters like real people in my mind, so I can't take anime seriously
OOC chat: Yes please! I'm a total extrovert who loves to get to know the amazing minds behind my partners' characters

It is xD They tend to fill 3 pages of a Word doc. Most of my RPs are averaging closer to 500-800 words per post though. If I had to write 2000 for all of them, I'd go insane. It's fun, but it takes a lot of mental energy, so I try to keep things shorter when I can.
Yeah, I have a good mix of lengthy RPs and short ones, but I enjoy both :) My longest posts have been averaging 2000 words and my shortest are only around 200. It's nice to have different lengths because the short ones are a lot easier for me to write up quickly, so they're good breaks for me in between writing up the monster posts for the other ones, haha.
It was a roundabout way of getting inside the building, but Azdrei’in was pleased when the two humans agreed on allowing him to come with them. He felt more comfortable staying as close to Artemis as he could to make sure that nothing happened to her while she helped the injured person they’d been told about. If offering his assistance would help him achieve that goal, then it was worth the trouble, so he followed along as the younger Earthling led them past the barrier and into the building up ahead.

Resting one hand slack on his weapon, his eyes roved over the interior of the space with passive interest. It was oddly bare, without anything around to catch his attention. In a way, it reminded him of the mothership though, since his people didn’t have much to decorate their quarters either. When they’d lived on Ashad’te, his people had made cozy homes that weren’t that dissimilar from Artemis’s hideout, but none of them truly had their own spaces while they’d been traveling in search of a new planet. Everything belonged to the Eilix. It was only theirs to borrow until they colonized the Earth.

He strode down the steps with the humans, only to stiffen when the child in the room below screamed piercingly. His fingers curled around the grip of his gun reflexively, but he didn’t draw it. Even from a distance in the low light, he could see that the young female was too injured to move. Relaxing slightly, he glanced at Artemis and edged closer to the humans as they gathered by the one who’d wounded her leg. He kept some distance, though, to avoid sending her into a panic.

Observing quietly, he waited while Artemis introduced both herself and him, trying to coax the child to calm down enough for her to work on her broken leg. Only when it seemed like she wasn’t frightened enough to crawl away or scream again did he lower himself to his knees at Artemis’s side to watch more closely while she examined the limb. Expectedly, the younger female became tense in his proximity, so he didn’t reach out to her right away. Hoping to assuage her fears some before he laid a finger on her, he merely sat back on his heels and allowed the Earthling to adjust to him first.

He kept his gaze fixed on the mangled leg, but he could feel her eyes on him. After about a minute or so, he dared to stretch one hand toward her but paused when she recoiled from him with a whimper. He glanced up at her pale face. “You don’t move,” he told her firmly but gently. “I will help.” As one who’d been trained only to be a warrior, he didn’t have the most reassuring bedside manner, but he still did his best to be careful with the child. He didn’t want to make Artemis’s job harder by frightening her before her leg could be treated.

So, moving slowly, he reached out to place his hand on the calf of her good leg. At first, the child inhaled sharply and flinched at his touch, but as the calming effect swept over her, she relaxed, her eyelids drooping and her tight muscles unwinding. “It doesn’t hurt anymore,” she marveled dazedly, turning her head toward her brother.

“It could hurt some,” Azdrei’in warned them pragmatically. He could alleviate most of the child’s pain, but when Artemis set the bone, it was likely that she would feel some of the discomfort in spite of his efforts to take it away. The only thing that could fully numb the pain was true medicine, and he didn’t have anything like that with him.
Yeah, as long as you can muster up just 2-3 paragraphs, I'll be happy always, haha. I tend to write really long, wordy posts, myself, but I never expect the same of my partners, so you don't need to worry about me being upset with your posts if they aren't whole walls of text :)
Hey again! Just wanted to say that if length is what you're concerned about, I really don't care if your posts match mine. You don't need to worry about posting something really long if it's causing you to feel like you can't post at all. Quality over quantity is what matters to me :)

“It’s only one small facet of a relationship, but I suppose you could say that,” Vail shrugged when Victoria asked him about vampire partnerships. “It just happens when you spend a lot of time around someone. Family clans have distinguishing scents and so do intimate couples because of their proximity to one another. I’m sure you’ll start to notice it as you adjust to your new senses.” As a vampire who had lived for over two centuries, he tended to process such details quickly and subconsciously. He didn’t have to wrack his brain to figure out which clan another vampire belonged to or focus hard to figure out which couples were married to each other. The information came to him instinctively, so he didn’t know how long it would take for Lady Crest, as a turned fledgling, to pick up the ability. He assumed she would have to learn how to use her other senses, since he knew humans relied predominantly on their eyesight, and there was no telling how much time that would take.

When they arrived at the summer house and conversed with his mother, Vail appreciated that Victoria didn’t speak out against Katherine for her unnecessary comments. He was well aware that his newly-immortal lover could defend herself—he’d been on the receiving end of her sharp tongue before—but the matriarch of the Hygraces wasn’t thinking clearly. Ever since their clan had been displaced, it had been apparent to him that his mother was suffering just as much as the rest of his family. To lose their home and sense of security was draining even to the leaders, and the fact that not all of them had made it out alive certainly didn’t help either. Katherine had never approved of his love for Victoria, but he suspected she was aiming her grief at the Crest heiress as a misguided outlet.

Softly, he traced his thumb over the back of Victoria’s hand in wordless gratitude as she told his father that she wanted vengeance for what had been done to them. Once again, he was glad that she was standing by his side. After everything the Wynters had done, he was going to need her support as he stepped in to fill his father’s shoes as the acting patriarch of the Hygraces. Katherine wasn’t quite as enthusiastic though. His mother studied the former human quietly for a moment, seeming to decide silently what she thought of her bold assertions before she voiced her opinions out loud.

“Of course I’ll let you,” Vail met Victoria’s gaze as he assured her of her importance to him. However, the moment wasn’t as tender as it could have been as Peter interrupted with a scoff.

“None of that matters,” Lord Hygrace grumbled. “There is nothing any of us can do to stop the Wynters. They’ve already won, so we might as well accept our fate.”

Vail sighed wearily. His father’s morale had reached an all-time low since Mikael had attacked. Every time the subject of the rival clan came up in conversation, the older vampire fell into the same disheartening speeches about how they were doomed to be subjected to the Wynters’ new world order. At first, Vail had tried to encourage him to have hope, but after a while, he’d given up on changing Peter’s mind. It seemed like a fruitless endeavor when the clan leader was so determined to surrender.

“I’m not done fighting until I have nothing left to give,” the Hygrace heir said stubbornly, glancing over his shoulder to beckon Sylvia to come closer. “Lady Macey is here with new word of the Wynters and what they’ve been doing in London since we left. Her family is prepared to help us stop them as well. Between them, the Moncouriers and the Order, we have more than enough support to push back against their tyranny. We only need to gather as much information as we can to determine the best time and place to strike.”

Katherine, who hadn’t lost her spirits like her husband, brightened faintly at that. “What do you have for us, Lady Macey?” she asked, turning to the other female vampire.

“Not as much as I’d like, admittedly, but you may find it useful regardless,” Sylvia confessed with a half-smile. However, instead of launching into her report, she first glanced at Victoria. “Lady Crest had the idea of calling a meeting to inform everyone at once, and I think it’s a fine plan. We need as many heads working together on this as we can get. Would you like someone to fetch your brother?”
Nearing 3000 posts!
Yeah, it'll be a very fast transition for him from prince to king. He won't have a lot of time to grieve.
“I feel great,” Cas nodded with a soft smile when Iris commented on how well-rested he looked. He didn’t know if he could vouch for being the calmest he’d ever felt, but that morning was certainly somewhere in his top ten, and it was definitely the most at peace he’d been since his mother had passed. All his father, work and classes brought to him was stress and the burden of responsibilities. Before he’d met Iris, he had decompressed by going out to parties with his friends, drinking, dancing and socializing with the other high borns in an effort to escape from reality for a few hours. In contrast, the relaxation he felt when he was with her was more genuine. He wasn’t running away by being with her, but rather had someone else to shoulder everything with him. It was nice. He also loved spending so much time with her and even waking up next to her in the morning instead of finding himself alone.

“Says you,” he mumbled petulantly when she said they couldn’t stay in bed all day. Already, the feeling of her warm body pressed up against his was lulling him back to sleep. He’d been so busy for the last few weeks that he hadn’t realized just how much he’d needed a good night’s rest. Now that he finally had the opportunity to make up for the deficit, he didn’t want to get up. Besides, it wasn’t like there was a reason to rush. No one knew where they were, so they had all the time in the world to enjoy each other’s company. There was nothing that could interrupt them as long as he kept his cell phone shut off, since it was his only line of communication with the outside world. He could deal with his father later.

So, when Iris told him that she had a bad feeling, he sighed, wrapping his arms around her tightly and pressing a kiss to her forehead. He didn’t want her to worry when things were finally going right for them. There was no reason for either of them to be concerned. They’d made it through the night without soldiers banging on their door, so he felt confident that they were perfectly safe in their suite. Granted, there was no telling what their next move would be when they eventually left the Sunset Veil, but that was a problem for another day.

“Just relax,” he told her, stroking her shoulders gently with one hand. As he spoke, he closed his eyes again and nestled his head more comfortably against hers. “We’ll figure it out when we get there, okay? You don’t need to worry because we’re fine right now. I love you, and I’m going to do everything I can so that we can be together. Let’s just enjoy this holiday while we can before we have to think about the future.” He knew this was the calm before the storm, since his father was going to be furious with him if or when he returned, but that didn’t negate the fact that he was enjoying himself. It was hard to be concerned about anything when he had Iris in his embrace. He wanted to pretend like everything was fine, if only for a little while longer.
You can in the next one! I don't need to pick up before the morning, since it's already dawn ^^
