Maoin looked down, frowning as Lady Lightsword didn't follow her advice. As expected, Lady Sorcha was getting more frustrated. Though Maoin balked at Avaline - she did a very good job of keeping her mistress' diet on track, and even did her best to make what she fed as tasty as possible! The cat eyed the degenerate lizard with hostility, "Degenerate Lizard, she has a strict diet ..." though otherwise remained quiet as it seemed Luna had something to say.

"... o-okay ..." Fia would follow Livia out of the room, seeming a bit more confident as she began to help the headmistress move her things back to the guest room. The phoenix understood what decorating meant by this point, but Fia was unsure how SHE'D decorate the room.

Maybe she'd ask her new maid later? She still did need to hang out with Lyssa the next day - maybe she'd be good for advice as well?

Otille Kohler

Otille rolled her eyes as Cocoa missed the point, letting the happy cow hold her and nuzzle her gradually into a happy oblivion. "There, there." The farmer was quickly getting used to the closeness, holding Cocoa a bit tighter back and closing her eyes. "Now you've been hauling that cart all day - you should get some rest." Otille protectively pulled Cocoa's head down so it'd rest on her chest, petting the back of her head with slow, caring motions.

As she did so, she did let out a small sigh and let her own mind wander - unfortunately it headed to the land of worries. She had no idea what she was going to do about the monetary situation - she literally had almost nothing now, and the profits from selling the other goods on her carts would only last them a couple weeks at most. She was also unsure about her ability to find a job to support herself, much less herself and Cocoa.

Perhaps Cocoa would notice? Or maybe the content cow would simply allow herself to slip off into the realm of sleep?

Maoin held onto her owner for most of the way home, happy to be in her glorious, divine company.

"Meow?" Maoin stumbled in alongside her owner, who was simply a really nice person. Goodness, she liked her scent. So familiar and friendly. And the light haired girl too - she was sweet and offered pettings. Though owner seemed unhappy with the lizard, which Maoin decided to help with by hissing at the barbaric creature and putting them back at the place they deserved.

Done with putting that lesser dragon in her place, the cat stumbled next to a cabinet somewhat as she thought about the exchange that took place. She giggled for a moment. "H-hey, Luuuunnnaaa." Maoin climbed to the top of the cabinet so she'd have a nice vantage point. "Meowstress -" The kitten giggled at her pun. "- Sorcha will forgive you if you kissssss herrrr." Maoin imagined more detail. "... she ... she might even purrrrrr a bit."

Fia frowned slightly, seeming a little worried. Though as Livia pet her, she seemed at least a little reassured. "O-ok." If the phoenix was upset, she didn't say anything about it. She just really hoped the nightmares didn't come back like one time when they were separated.

Still though, the familiar gave her mage a smile. "... don't work too hard ... paperwork can be ... boring." Fia gave Livia a small smile of concern, and she hoped the other woman would still get enough sleep. Aside from that, the crimson haired girl scooted a little bit closer and leaned just a bit against the back of the headmistress' chair as she let out a small smile.

The farmed giggled a bit, waiting for Cocoa to stop crushing her before bothering to try and speak again - while she enjoyed breathing, she certainly didn't mind cuddling with Cocoa, who's back she rubbed from behind with a single hand. "A-anyways, it's bedtime. So um ... can you look away for a minute?" Otille would sit up and turn in the opposite direction, not checking to see what her cow did as she stripped down to be more comfortable for the night - everything but her underwear was on the floor - before slipping back beneath the sheets and finally turning back to Cocoa. "There we are."

Otille wrapped an arm around Cocoa and smiled. "You're both cute and warm Cocoa - don't discount yourself, you silly cow." She thought about their new - and far worse - financial situation, her brow creasing with a bit of worry. She didn't want Cocoa to think about it too much though, so she simply rubbed the cow's back again with one of her hands. "Comfortable?"

"Y-yess Miss Livia." Karia left the room, leaving only the mage and her familiar within. Fia looked around awkwardly, unsure of what to do. So she simply stood there and twiddled her thumbs a bit before giving Livia a small and awkward wave, moving around the desk towards her side.

Meowka swiped at the annoying finger as it poked her forehead with a small look of irritation on her face. "Mrew!"

For a few seconds the cat stared at the woman before seeming to forget what she had been doing, and rested her head comfortably in the nook of the arm as she closed her eyes, wrapping a protective arm around her mistress.

A couple minutes later it would be apparent that Meowka had fallen asleep, as she nibbled just a bit on the imaginary fish in her dreams.

Otille Kohler

Otille laughed at Cocoa's predictable reaction - though the tackling made her feel uncomfortable. The farmed finally managed to get out a reply as she was squeezed, "Please don't cr-crush me." Though it was spoken with a smile.

Hopefully the cow would loosen up the grip just a bit, at which point Otille returned the hug as they lay down together. "I'm just teasing you, you silly thing. Cocoa, you're always so protective of me. I think even that dragon wouldn't be able to keep you from wanting my attention." Otille rubbed her ears a bit. "You've never slept on a bed before, have you!? Do you know how sheets work?" Otille pulled them over the two of them with a smile. "See? They keep you warm, like a cow blanket!"

"Oh um ..." That ... that was a lot to think about. As of now this was simply a part time job - she wouldn't mind a few more hours of course, but she wasn't sure she wanted to just be someone's maid her entire life - she had come here after all to learn something that would allow her to escape such a dull life, like the one her family had lived for generations. "I-I'm still interested in learning ma'am. If you could arrange a tutor I could find this agreeable. Should I head back to my dorm and pack my belongings?"

As for the Phoenix, Fia looked back and forth along the ground, lowering her head just a bit as if she desired to shrink just a bit. She'd grown a bit in these past few months, but she was still a shy soul.

The cat cuddled a bit closer to the Puppeteer, with a smile still crossing her face. "I'd watch you of course to make sure you didn't do anything silly ... well anything too silly." Meowka climbed just a bit on top of the mage, trying to find the best spot to lower her head. "And I'm smiling because there's pretty, and I'm close to it. Why else would I be?" As if to accentuate what she exactly meant by 'pretty' the girl rubbed her head against her mistress, closing her eyes with a grin crossing her mouth. "Is it wrong of me to be happy around you?"

Otille Kohler

"Uhhh what?!" It didn't feel bad of course, but having Cocoa pet her ... felt strange at least. Or maybe a little embarrassing, as her cheeks would show. The farmer hid her face a bit, grateful the inn was appearing in view. "N-nice to know you enjoy being t-tall."

Otille led the pair up into the room she had rented, sitting on the bed and guiding Cocoa to kneel in front of her with her hands. "You silly cow. You haven't even learned the proper technique!" The farmer rubbed the livestock just where she knew the girl liked it, guiding her head down to use her lap as a pillow. "Now who is a good Cocoa?" For a few minutes the new mage would keep petting the familiar just where she liked it, likely letting the girl get a little sleepy or at least satisfied in the process. "Now you can either stay up here with me, or in the stables. Whichever is more comfortable for you."

Of course, based on the way she was acting it seemed unlikely that Cocoa would desire staying in the stables. Still though, it was possible her habits as a cow would remain somehow.

It was hard to keep her eyes open. After these weeks of travel, their little party would arrive in St. Sappho the next morning - or afternoon, if they took things slowly. And now that their final battle was finished, the noblewoman found it increasingly difficult to remain on guard as they camped, or even stay awake long after the meal.

"Good Foxy ..."

The mage sat next to her familiar, rubbing the foxes ears and scratching just behind them in a way she knew - or at least thought she knew - Sly enjoyed. Or at least tolerated. Selvina let out a yawn as she did so, smiling up at her familiar.

The fox would by now probably understand that this combination of events meant her master was about to pass out - and soonenough, the mage tipped over slowly until she found herself leaning against Sly, head leaning on shoulder with her eyes shut tight. The mage shivered a bit as she entered her slumber, unconsciously reaching for a blanket that wasn't there and snuggling it against herself.

Luna was kicking out Lady Sorcha? Maoin was a little surprised, but the dragon's reaction wasn't so great anyways. It didn't take a genius to figure out that she was at minimum extremely frustrated.

This probably wasn't the time to ask her to take a bath again.

"Y-yes ma'am!" Maoin nearly bolted out the door first, but previously Lady Sorcha had asked her to get ready for the night. She was next to her belongings anyways, so the kitten grabbed the bag of items she'd purchased before trailing just a bit behind the dragoness.

The cat wasn't sure if it was a good time to breach the silence, or ask about what had happened. But after a minute of silent walking she decided to might as well do something aside from allow the dragon to brood. Lady Sorcha would feel an arm wrap sqeeze around her waist tightly as Maoin appeared in front of the taller woman's shoulder, walking close by. "... hey mistress, are you alright?" For a couple seconds the cat seemed uncertain before speaking again. "If she's that irritating Lady Sorcha, would you like me to poison her?"

She was joking of course, but she tried to pass it off with as straight of a face as possible.

Fia simply looked at the ground as Karia responded to the headmistress with a nod. "Yes headmistress, I understand." Miss Livia was still her employer, after all. Though there was one question. "I'm ... I'm still working on my studies though. Will my hours be changing to suit Miss Fia more? Will I still be in the dormitories?" Aside from the typical technical questions that came with the position, Karia seemed happy with the position and wasn't too concerned about taking care of Livia's familiar.

Meowka watched as the guest left, eyes tracing her mistress as she laid down on the bed next to her. The cat listened as the dolls finally released her, staying in her spot for a couple of seconds before cuddling against Miss Katherine's side. After a few moments, the mage would feel a couple nods and a few giggles as Meowka answered the puppeteer. "Of course! You should try it!" For a couple of seconds Meowka pondered the image before realizing her obvious error and giggling even more at that. "I-If you could! I guess kittens are lucky in this, aren't we?"

For a few seconds Meowka fell quiet before kissing the puppeteer's cheek. "And besides, you could drink." Meowka paused for a moment. "... are you a happy drunk at least?" The image of her mistress laughing made the cat laugh just a bit more, smile crossing her face.

A loan? She wasn't sure the village could afford-

"OW!" Otille grabbed the part of her head where the wing had clipped her, recovering with her feel and wiping one of her eyes with her sleeve as they watered up instinctively.

The peasant looked at the dragon's path with a bit of fear, but the wyrm tamer soon brought the conversation back around. She'd go with her!? Yes! "Yeah, we totally could!" Otille smiled at the knightess. "I'll stop by tomorrow then!" For a couple of moments the woman stared at her new friend before averting her eyes back to Cocoa.

"Yeah, but I don't want to trouble a dragon. Even if this pretty knight has tamed her." Shit, did she say that out loud? Damn, she was too used to venting all her emotions to Cocoa when it was just them in the fields. "But um, yeah! See ya tomorrow! Come on, Cocoa!"

Unless Luna said something strange or contradictory, Otille would excuse herself with another wave and grab the cow's hand as they left the door. Soon enough they were on their way back to the tavern, where the peasant looked over at the familiar. "S-sorry about that. Wasn't expecting that to happen ... anyways, how's the new body? You're pretty cute like this too!"

Though there was one thing. "Anything annoying you? You're alright with the bell and clothes and everything?"
Otille Kohler

Maoin frowned with confusion as Lady Lightsword offered to cook herself. The cat didn't comment immediately, but she considered this a bad idea for a couple reasons. Firstly, the noblewoman didn't sound too confident in her abilities, and people who weren't confident were liable to burn the dormitory down. Secondly, a noble lady shouldn't be cooking in the first place. Thirdly, Maoin would likely be annoyed at having all her utensils misplaced and having unsuitable food prepared in her kitchen.

For a couple of seconds the cat considered asking the noble lady to wait once more, but a far more interesting conversation was happening on the other side of the room.

As for the human, she began to worry a bit as the dragon began to berate her which she managed to fumble out a stuttering defense to. "I-I'm not a thief! W-We were hungry!" Otille fundamentally wasn't sorry - but that didn't mean the tail beating on the ground didn't intimidate her - or make her gulp instinctively as she glanced at the door.

Then an icon of chivalry, a wonderful, beautiful knight approached and calmed the dragon down with a few simple words and a couple pats on the head. The dragon continued ranting, but even the peasant found herself covering her mouth as she couldn't resist letting out a nervous giggle as the tension in the room vaporized - even dragons liked to have their heads rubbed, apparently. It didn't seem like she'd end up being roasted or made into a plaything - so Otille rubbed Cocoa's head a bit as well, noticing her nervousness. Though her eyes laid on the wonderful lady in front of her, unmoving.

"Um. Hi!" The peasant even waved a bit, then blushed as she realized how silly she looked. "Thanks for um, saving me from the dragon!" She was a knight, wasn't she? That's not how one addressed a knight! "Sir ... Dame ... Lady ... Luna?" It seemed the peasant was uncertain how to title the woman in front of her for some reason, but she was sure of one thing.

"H-how about I take you out to a nice dinner as an apology? I'll pay-" The peasant's eyes drifted down towards the sacks of gold that were unlikely to stay with her. "- o-or maybe just a couple of drinks for the two of us? Tomorrow?" She still needed to sell her other trade goods, and she'd have to wait for the morning in that case. And besides, Cocoa probably wanted some attention. As if it was a nervous habit, the peasant began to adjust her clothes and play with her hair.

Maoin began cleaning in the eyeline of Lady Sorcha, glancing at the two of the rude, uneducated, rural, peasant, thieving degenerates as she looked back and forth between the dragon and the pair as her hand rested on the hilt of her sword, giving Lady Sorcha an inquisitive look.

Fia relaxed a bit more as Livia approved of her decision and went up to the study, the maid 'Karia' at her side as she unconsciously shifted her curly hair into a tighter bun. As they arrived into the office the two of them stood side by side, though the maid reacted a bit as if she was surprised she was being addressed directly by the headmistress.

"I ... I've heard from the other maids that she had a troubled past ... a few nightmares and fits, sometimes? Ma'am." She had heard about the fourteen year old's most infamous personality traits from the other servants during break times, though she hadn't really seen it herself. Though as Fia looked down ashamed, the maid changed the conversation. "... and I've seen her light candles, sometimes. Seems really happy about it too?" It wasn't exactly a descriptive detail, but the phoenix still turned her face away as if she was embarrassed by her newfound hobby.

Meowka pouted as her mistress made fun of her emotions, but ultimately began to collect herself as the dolls continued to hold her down. She did little more than watch, a little surprised the woman didn't even know what panties were.

How did someone not know what panties were?

The cat giggled slightly, her previous attitude of depression simply vanishing as she laughed at the absurdity of the thought as the mage continued to discuss clothing with the strange woman. Eventually the woman seemed to prepare to leave, which made Meowka feel a bit relieved as she'd likely stop being held down once company wasn't over. Until then, she simply watched the room intensely, shifted slightly periodically to get just a bit more comfortable as she looked around with a smile.

Maoin responded quickly as the knightess started to walk inside, "Yes Miss Luna, apparently from the Headmistress herself - I um ... Lady Sorcha asked to spend the evening with me, so do you mind if I cook it tomorrow instead?" The kitten responded to the knightess, hoping she wouldn't be too upset - the servant placed the ham from Avaline in the fridge, before taking the one from Luna and following suit. "I have something I could quickly heat up for you though - Lady Sol is already enjoying it!" The cat gestured over towards the younger girl, stepping over Avaline's tail as she did so in the crowded room.

Of course she knew life wasn't always comfortable - but Fia nodded though as Livia offered more explanation on what she was thinking ... it wasn't meant as an excuse to become lazy. The phoenix agreed, though was still a bit confused about what she should do to deserve it though. But she figured Livia would explain more about that later.

The familiar looked over the girls as they lined up, a little surprised at how quickly the headmistress handed complete control of the situation to her. It was a bit dramatic, and they were all looking at her now. The youngest one was probably sixteen, and the oldest probably in their thirties. Some were familiars, most were humans. Some were part time, some full time, but no matter their age or professionalism they were all staring at her.

She felt a little nervous. Actually, more than a little nervous. She looked over to Livia for assistance, but she sensed this was up to her. Her eyes flickered between them, as if going through a complex system of trying to make a decision. What if she annoyed them? Or insulted the ones she didn't pick? Or Livia didn't like her decision? Or-

"H-Hey, Miss Fia?" One of the maids stepped forward, stepping a bit forward. She was about sixteen, with a youthful appearance in spite of her uniform. "It's alright - you don't need to be so nervous! Most of us don't know what this entails either ... except for Cynthia, but I don't think she's up for grabs in more ways than one." She offered a friendly smile towards the fourteen year old who relaxed a bit, with most of the maids giggling at the expense of their leader.

Of course, Fia pointed at the girl who spoke up as she began to resume her place in the line. "... oh um ... are you sure miss?" A nod, then a tilt of the head as Fia looked at the maid. "Okay then. I'm Karia, Miss Fia. It's nice to be appointed ..."

They both looked towards Livia though, as if looking for her approval. "... I'm alright with this, assuming you are headmistress." Karia gave a slight curtsy - as of now she was only part time since she was a student as well, and therefore her skills weren't quite as up to par as some of the other staff.

Meowka grabbed for the pipe as it was taken away, gasping at the betrayal. "K-Katherine!?" No more nip!? That was a terrible fate! It was clear the familiar was ready to fight over this injustice, but one of her feet was grabbed by a doll - and soon she was swarmed, struggling against the puppeteer's servants as they dragged her onto the bed. The oppressive regime quickly had her pressed down, so in spite of her struggles she was forced to remain still against the bedding as she stared at the rest of the room, simply observing the traitor in front of her and her friend.

Of course her vision focused just as Chione began to strip. "Hey Kat, that's a fi- bbbbb!?" Meowka's face was pressed into one of the pillows as she was about to finish making her comment, the cruel torturers only letting her head up after a few seconds of silence as her struggles gradually died down once again.

Meowka simply remained quiet at this point, looking towards her traitorous mistress with teary eyes. H-How could she!? It was clear Meowka was upset, the effect likely amplified by her state of mind.

Otille Kohler

Otille nodded as the woman in front of her asked where she found it. "Yes! There was an old ruin nearby - and a stone statue!" Lady Sorcha would quickly have her assumptions confirmed as the girl nodded enthusiastically. "Well really my little brother found it. And what a blessing! Our village had been in a bad place for a few months." The farmer's characteristic smile dropped a bit as the memories returned. "He wanted to bring the treasure to the village immediately - I was a bit more superstitious and said we should y'know ... wait to make sure it wasn't someone elses. But a week went by and no-one came by and we were hungry so ..."

"... we took a few bags. Managed to purchase food for the village ... our family had enough money to keep Cocoa ..." They'd almost had to get rid of her - they were hungry after all, and food wasn't cheap. Otille waved at the cow, giving her a big smile. "... and I'm hoping to get an education with this. Start a new life, ma'am."

Fia looked at the pair of them converse back and forth about the working life until Mugi was sent off and suddenly the phoenix found herself being addressed again. Livia said she'd explain some rules, and then exclaimed they couldn't be ordered to pamper her all day and all week. For a couple seconds the familiar seemed a little confused - isn't that what servants were for? The headmistress would find her crimson haired girl looking at her with a titled head and curious eyes, as if vocalizing her thoughts.

"Then ... what for?" Fia spoke softly in one of her famous short questions.

As Chione prepared herself to be measured, the door would find itself opening once again to the homes other mortal resident - a nineteen year old cat girl, who closed the door behind herself and stumbled as she did so, eventually placing a stabilizing hand against a wall as she held a pipe-like object in her hand, taking another sniff of it and letting out a long giggle as she found something simply hilarious as her eyes found one of the many dolls in the puppeteer's employ.

"... dolls ...!" Meowka let out a burst of laughter as rolled against the wall for a moment and pushed herself off of it. She looked around the room for a couple of seconds afterwards and finally seemed to realize her mistress was there. For a couple of seconds she blinked and approached, then stared over her as if trying to get a better view. Damn, she's fine.

The cat grabbed the front of Katherine's robes like she owned them, pulled the woman's upper body closer, looked into her eyes for a moment before putting her lips up against those of the teacher. Damn, tasty! After a couple of seconds she released the other woman, and finally seemed to notice someone else was in the room.

"Oh, hi there!" Meowka looked back and forth between the two of them. "Oh, you are making loooovvvveeeee tonight, Mistress Katherine?!?" The cat giggled, before slapping the blue haired woman's ass with an encouraging spank and grinning, seeming satisfied with the resounding smack sound the impact made. "Have fun! I'll just watch."

Meowka leapt to get on top of the cabinets in a valiant attempt, but ended up slamming into the side of it instead and falling to the ground in a pile. She didn't seem to upset though, because she simply started laughing again despite the pain and moved into a kneeling position, looking at the pair of them with an idiotic grin as she took another smoke of her pipe.

Lady Solana's pleas were heard, but ignored as the food was already on the stove and Maoin found herself attending her mistress, gradually working on the long process that was waking her owner up pleasantly. "Mistress, please?" It seemed Lady Sorcha finally responded though, stretching only a moment before looking at her and giving her a weird request. Get dressed for the evening? "... What? Where? How fancy?" Fortunately Maoin had just finished buying a new dress just for this purpose, but the dragon wasn't prepared for such a thing right now by any means.

"Mistress, not until you've taken a bath. You look like you've been travelling for a week and sleeping on a dirty bedroll the entire time. You wouldn't want to go out without being at your full beautiful radiance, would you? Why don't you slip in, I'll be in there in just a moment." An accurate statement, though Maoin delivered it with a smile as she continued to rub Lady Sorcha's shoulders for a couple more seconds before standing up. She hoped the dragoness wouldn't be too upset with her being a little honest as she headed towards the bathroom, turning the water on, and then heading out once more.

"... and besides, I'm making food for Miss Solana right now because she's hungry, and I wouldn't want it to burn. Also, Lady Lightsword is on the way home and someone else is at the door. Let me get that -"

Maoin opened the door, waved towards the right at the approaching Lady Lightsword who was still some distance away, and addressed the pair in front of her. They exchanged a brief few words, and after a couple of moments of conversation Maoin returned inside and respectfully curtsied in an apologetic manner towards her mistress with the pair of them in tow. "Change of plans, Lady Sorcha. The student Otille requests your services on behalf of the headmistress. Could you speak with her before you bathe?" She was just a peasant anyways - it wasn't as if she could look down on Lady Sorcha for being a little dirtied up at the moment.

Maoin seemed like she had something to add, but as she sniffed the air she hurried over to the stove with quick moving feet, hurrying over to save the meal as it reached the optimum amount of being cooked. The stove was soon turned off, a meal placed in front of Lady Solana. "Please enjoy." A slight curtsy.

She should probably put the ham away. Maoin hurried outside around when Lady Luna would be near the door, passing by whatever conversation Lady Sorcha was having with the guests and greeting her mistress' mistress with a quick curtsy. "Welcome home Lady Luna. Ham? Here." The kitten grabbed the ham from Avaline without really asking - she'd probably be taking care of it anyways. "I'll put it away. Is there a way you'd like it prepared?"

Otille Kohler

That's what she was for? The peasant smiled at the cow's enthusiasm, but instead of responding to that she found herself stunned at Cocoa's next line of thought. For a moment Otille simply stared at the cow before giving her an uncertain look. Well, she could respond to part of that question honestly at least.

"I'm not really sure - steak is a high quality cut of meat, and my family couldn't really afford it ..." If they had a high enough quality of a cut of meat to make steak from, they'd sell it to their local lord and take chickens in their stead - her dad had always said it didn't matter how food tasted if it only left you with an empty stomach.

Cannibalism concerns aside though, Otille looked seriously at Cocoa. "I'm not sure you'd like meat anyways ... I'll let you try, but it might not be good for you. Just a bit of what I have tonight to test, ok?" Of course, it wouldn't be steak. Before Cocoa could afford to look sad though, Otille grabbed onto her familiar's hand, holding it as they continued to walk. "It's your job to carry me, right? Could you hold my hand for me then, like with that couple over there?" Hopefully this would distract Cocoa enough to get them to their destination before they returned to the topic of steak again, instead pointing to another couple of dog-girl and mistress as they walked by.

Soon enough, they arrived at their destination, where Otille nervously raised her arm to knock on the door. Before she could even rattle the wooden frame once though, she'd find herself face-to-face with a catgirl in a blue dress with a collar around her neck. For a moment she was ignored as the catgirl waved towards someone approaching from down the street, and Otille continued to stare at the girl's ears long after the pet's gaze returned.

"... Can I help you?" The cat seemed to be looking at her with a combination of annoyance and impatience, though she wasn't expressly rude.

"Oh! I'm Otille, and this is Cocoa! I'm just here to um ..." The peasant thought for a couple of seconds before continuing. "The headmistress sent me here to have some treasure appraised-"

"You want Lady Sorcha. follow me." The cat headed inside, walking up to a tall but pretty horned creature with wings, seeming to address her before scurrying off again.

"H-Hi! I'm Otille, Lady Sorcha!" The peasant addressed Lady Sorcha giving a small curtsy, though less formal than the cat's by a good measure. "The headmistress said you were good with treasure! Could you appraise it for us? My village recently stumbled across quite a fortune, but none of us are able to tell how much it's worth ..." Otille looked towards the familiar. "Here, Cocoa, hand her one of the bags?"

After Cocoa handed one of the bags over, she'd feel a familiar hand rubbing her ear.

Maoin gave Sol a skeptical look as she returned to the kitchen, setting the stove to 'setting three' herself. She liked the spider? And had NAMED it? The kitten resisted the urge to roll her eyes - Lady Solana was only twelve though, and she didn't have to be lying to believe in strange circumstances. "Of course, Lady Sol. I apologize for trying to get rid of the spider?" It was impossible for the servant to hide all of her skepticism, of course.

The cat glanced towards the spider - sometime when the younger noble wasn't around, she'd take it back outside. But for now, it wasn't worth arguing about - and her lady intended on falling back asleep. Maoin headed over to the bed, sitting down next to Lady Sorcha and sitting her up (with a bit of effort) and rubbing her shoulders in an attempt to get her up in a relaxing manner. "Mistress, I don't want you napping so long you can't fall asleep tonight. And besides, you need to eat a bit. You must be hungry, Lady Sorcha."

Miss Fia? The familiar wasn't used to that, but she didn't mind. Livia was followed into the familiar by the servant, who appreciated the headpats despite giving a playful pout at them. She listened to the pair's conversation, not having much input herself. She was glad she wouldn't be at risk of melting Mugi though she was curious what Livia had planned for her.

Otille Kohler

Otille smiled at her familiar, setting herself down and reaching up to rub Cocoa on the head a bit more. "It's fine, I can walk on my own. Besides, you've already worked very hard today and I don't want to strain you, alright? Even though I know you don't think you are tired." The farmgirl spoke at least partially out of honest concern for the cow, who had already spent significant part of the day hauling a cart - she was a dairy cow after all, and wasn't really intended for that sort of labor.

"Now come along." Otille smiled at Cocoa, motioning for her to follow. "I'll think of somewhere to eat afterwards too - I assume you wouldn't want to eat more hay, now?"

Maoin finally finished her errands - she'd had a bit of her allowance to spend, but the familiar shop tended to have plenty of the stuff she wanted. She returned to the house, placing her items with the rest of her few belongings before sighing and taking a look around, shaking Lady Sorcha's shoulder softly in a manner that would wake her up. "Lady Sorcha, you've had your nap. It's time to get up. You need a bath anyways."

Noticing Sol in the kitchen, Maoin approached. "Hungry, Miss S- AHH!" Spider! And so close to her noble lady! Maoin looked around quickly, grabbing a towel of sorts and quickly scooping the spider up. "D-Don't worry, I'll take it outside." The catgirl quickly scampered out the front door, opening the cloth on the ground - she considered brushing the spider off the cloth, but after a second on contemplation let it have the small thing. She could fetch the textile later. She didn't want to kill the poor thing - it took care of flies, after all. But it could do it's job outside! She spent far too much time cleaning the house for a spider to take up residence!

Maoin returned inside, closing the door behind her. "Sorry about that, Lady Solana. Hungry? Sorry if my directions are hard to understand - if you want I can make it for you?" Maoin already grabbed the leftover tub out from the coldbox, turning the setting to three - the same place the spider had indicated.

Maids to choose from? Fia seemed a little uncomfortable at the idea, but only for a moment. It wasn't like she was buying a slave from the market in one of these dreams - she'd been around the maids, and for the most part they seemed happy to work there. Though as the door opened up, Fia looked at the girl a little surprised.

Wasn't this Cynthia's friend? Mugi? The phoenix looked towards the headmistress, seeming a little confused. Wasn't she cold or something? The fourteen year old looked towards her mage. "Not her. Too cold. She'll melt."

Otille Kohler

"AH! Cocoa!" Otille yelped slightly as she was picked up, looking at Cocoa as if she was some chivalric knight that proudly carried her burdens - and blushing just like the peasant girls in those stories as well. For a couple seconds Otille was speechless as she looked up at the face of her familiar, turned away, then looked back. "Thanks ... Didn't the Headmistress say they needed to do something important?

The girl gestured towards the three bags of loot. "Can you pick those up then? Oh, we could go to ..." Otille quickly described the directions to Luna's residence. "And we'll need to find somewhere to stay afterwards ..." Otille seemed to be deep in thought, but didn't think Cocoa would have too much input on that. She'd probably be happy to sleep in a warm stable, if it was up to her.
