Phew, home at last! Reading with my students this week went much better than the last. uvu My apologies, Asura! I know what it's like to be left behind (most of my closest online friends live on the opposite side of the globe, so timezones get in the way a lot), and I'm sure we'll be more mindful of it in the future if you'd like to continue! As for right now, as Windel said, you're welcome to have Lorne follow after Marianne and join the current little group there if you'd like? Otherwise, I can always offer up Rylan for interaction as well! ( ouo)/
> Your fine, seems like a perfectly natural thing to be doing at one's computer on a regular basis. I certainly hope so, since I just did it again. :'DD On that note, I'm off for the night, I suppose! ouo Good night, all--take care!
> @Rosa I thought you've delved deep into dreamland. > > Maybe not yet? Haha, not yet! I should probably go soon though. u__u I keep nodding off at my computer.
I don't have anything planned for Rylan or Thalia in way of romance. I'm just going to play them and let things go as they will, I suppose. ovo
Jerod's method of seeking out allies seemed to work quite well, as a young woman soon arrived to grace them with her presence. Judging by the aforementioned eyepatch, the girl gathered that this was the "Marianne" that they had been searching for. Perhaps she was not a princess as she had been hoping, but Thalia decided that she certainly was pretty enough to be one, what with her long dark hair and her elegant dress. Feeling just a little nervous, she scrambled to return the older girl's bow with one of her own, and remained mute as she listened to the words that the dark mage directed towards the mercenary. The, er...quality of eyes? Exotic bodies? ...What was all this about? She subtly tilted her head so that she could shoot Jerod a wide-eyed, inquisitive look, but her attention fell back onto Marianne as they introduced to one another. Reaching out to clasp the offered hand with both of hers, Thalia smiled warmly. "It's nice to meet you! And, ah--" She faltered, expression momentarily going blank by the unexpected question, "I...y-yes, quite! I can't say that I'm particularly knowledgeable about the topic, but it does seem rather fascinating. Do you have an interest in human anatomy, Lady Marianne?" Although some of her comments were a little odd, she definitely seemed like a friendly girl. Thalia was also just pleased to met another female among the newfound Shepherds. She had come to find that she could feel quite at ease with Jerod and Jacob, but she was still admittedly more comfortable around other women. One could blame being part of the all-women pegasus knights squad for that. Upon being reminded of why they had been searching for Marianne in the first place, Thalia offered Jerod a smile and quickly shook her head. "It's exactly as you said! Sir Marius has asked for us to gather at the barracks so that we can do some inventory. I suppose if we intend on leaving at our earliest convenience, it would be best to get all of these things out of the way as soon as possible." It didn't sound like the most exciting of tasks, but it was something that had to be done. Being the naive, open sort with nothing to hide, the mercenary's question did not phase her in the least. It only seemed natural to want to get to know each other better since they'd be traveling together for the foreseeable future. "Nothing very exciting for me, I'm afraid, but I was born and raised in Ylisse alongside my two older sisters," She chirped, clasping her hands behind her back, "We're all pegasus knights, just like our mother and our grandmother before us!"
For my part, I say no rush either way! I'm okay with waiting for a while or whatever you guys are most comfortable with! Going to have to head to bed early tonight, though (...as in like 3 hours instead of 6). :'D Tomorrow and Thursday are the days that I head to elementary schools and read with kidlets (fouo)f
...I dozed off. And now I feel confused and disoriented wow
I find all the characters in Awakening to be pretty endearing in their own way! ouo I'm honestly kind of a sucker for games with a lot of quirky characters @ Fire Emblem, Persona, etcetc. (and horror games. Horror is A+) > I'll wait for Lorne's reaction before posting again. Also, I have a particularly funny scenario in my head of Marianne sneaking into Jacob's room at night for the first time. OuO Oh ho? I hope she'll get the chance to do that as soon as the opportunity arises. I don't even know what the scenario is, and I already think it'd be amusing. :'D
"Oh. But--" She automatically opened her mouth to protest, but bit down on her lip to stop herself. Bowing and referring others as "sir" or "lady" had been practically engrained in her by this point, but trying to be polite seemed pointless when the other party preferred that she dropped these habits around them. _If anything_, she argued with herself, _It would be impolite if I were to ignore them and insist on formalities._ They'd be traveling companions from here on out as well, so perhaps it'd be better to be casual with one another anyways. "Very well...Jerod, then?" The last bit was spoken tentatively, but her lips were curved in a light smile, "Lady Marianne certainly sounds like quite the character. I'd definitely like to meet her." She sounded quite feisty as well, if she had threatened to, er, string Jerod up with his own innards. Truth to be told, she didn't think it sounded too far off from something her own princess would say. Although puzzled by the additional note about Marianne's eyepatch, Thalia simply nodded obediently. With that, she hastily followed after him, trying to match his pace and cringing a little as his voice echoed within the halls. Well if the dark mage was around here, she was sure that she'd hear Jerod calling for her.
I only just got around to reading your post, Draexzhan, and.. > "But now we can fiiiiiiinally give them their just desserts! Cut them open and feed them to the beasts! Spear their heads and hold them high! Burn them black and break their bones! Eeeeeee! Together we can accomplish ANYTHING!" /WORRIED NOISES Jacob sure attracts a lot of unique people
