Rachel gave a slight smile before speaking
"Thanks, Max, you are right about what you said. I think I will talk to Frank later, see where we are going and even bring up the subject of being apart for a while. I am sure he will understand and I will assure him it won't be the end." Rachel felt as a heavy burden had been lifted from her shoulders, Max was certainly very good at giving advice and even solving problems. See could now see why she managed to save Kate, Max cared and even though she did not spend all her time with Kate and her other friends she was always there to help when she was. Rachel soon placed one hand on the table before her and Max, the other hand was used to move her blonde hair back behind her ear. She was a conscious person and even more so that she wanted to be a model so she had to look good most of the time if not all the time. The diner was still lively even at this time which was early for Rachel though of recent had been getting used to getting up early to meet up.
The meetup point was usually here or at Chloe's house, Frank would give her money for the bus or if he was in a really good mood drop her of outside Chloe's or nearby Chloe's house. Frank was sweet, most did not see it and he was not always good with people but he was a nice guy if you got to know him and not screwing him over helped.
"Max thanks for the advice but I have to ask something and I am going to be blunt about it even though we are BFF's I need to know. Once you have finished at Blackwell do you plan to leave Chloe again? It was hard for her the first time and I know it is different this time but I think I should know what your plans are after Blackwell. I want to know if you are going to be with us or not?" Rachel did not say it in a bad or bossy way, she was just concerned about Chloe even though Chloe had grown since last year she still had some of her old self inside.
Rachel gave one more smile at Max just to show there was no ill will or anything, just planning the future is all. She knew what she was going to do, but she was not sure what Max was going to do and for that matter what Chloe would do if a decision came up. Max and Rachel had things they wanted to do, however, Chloe had no real idea at this point. The plan to move to LA was scraped for now or even forever. Though the music playing was not really her thing Rachel wanted to get up and dance by the jukebox, she liked having fun even if it landed her in hot water sometimes, even danger rarely. Rachel however, resisted as she stayed in the booth with Max, she watched the brunette hipster sitting on the other side of the booth. Max was certainly unique for many reasons, one was because of her fashion sense. Not because it was bad but because it was different and something she could pull off.
A moment passed before Rachel spoke up again,
"If we are done here maybe we should go see how Chloe is doing. I am sure just like me you are worried about her, though maybe she is like her normal self again." The blonde punk soon rose to her feet and stretched for a moment as she left the booth she had just sat in. Her beauty was very apparent and personality was very well known here at the diner though some people did not like her. One of the truckers called her a slut though he was not the first to say it and was certainly not the last to say it either.
"So where should we go, Max? The lighthouse? The junkyard? The coastline?" Rachel waited for a moment for a reply before slowly sinking away, her moments were graceful like a dancer who was trying to show emotion via dance moves. Rachel did manage to get people to turn heads as she began to leave the diner, Joyce soon speaking up
"Leaving so soon girls? Well, whatever you do please keep Chloe out of trouble."-Two While Diner [Exterior]-
Rachel was soon outside the diner, like always not much was happening, only the odd vehicle passed by and a few people from the town came by. Two people were waiting for a bus at this time, the fisherman who had a hard time a year ago seemed to be doing better now as he had his fishing gear with him. It seemed he was getting ready to go to work or return home, Rachel could not tell at this time. The stone panels that made the walkway showed Rachel her way to the parking lot where she saw Chloe smoking which was normal for her. Max was most likely close by as she approached her punk rock friend, she did not say anything as she found herself stopping in front of Chloe. At this point, Chloe offered her cig to Rachel who was happy to take it. The two shared a lot of things but then Max and Chloe shared things that the other did not get to share. Rachel took a tiny drag from the cigarette she just got, her first one this morning and it felt like heaven.
Chloe had a small smile on her face, it looked like she was back to her usual self. Rachel was glad that she was better and she was assured Max was as well.
"So what is the plan?" Chloe said with a bit of energy. Whatever the plan was beer would be involved, even though it was still early Chloe liked to have a drink no matter what the time was and Rachel was the same. Though of recent the two tried to get Max to have a beer, so far they failed but they wanted her to become more of an adult by taking part. Overall Max was the most mature one here but being mature did not make one an adult or so the pair thought.
