Current Trying to get back into the swing of things (for a 2nd time!)

Bio

Hi there I'm Rultaos, or simply Rult as some of my friends call me. I first got into RP'ing on two different sites back when I was in High School. The forums of the games Minecraft and Spiral Knights. Both had game-related RP's, as well as off-topic ones regarding fantasy and sci-fi. This was around 3-4 years ago. I wasn't really good at it back then, but I met a lot of great people and feel like I really improved since then.

For any of you who are curious, this was one of my biggest RP undertakings before I got into this site (My username also comes from this as a tribute to it!). It's not really a very well-written roleplay (or a very well-managed one for that matter). But it really meant a lot to me because of how far it went, how long it survived, and how it inspired my fellow players there. It always fills me with a sense of nostalgia whenever I glance at it in my bookmarks...

I got into RPGuild back when it was still using the old server (the one that got taken down after Mahz got behind on his pay and the providers ended their service without warning). I was pretty bummed when this happened because I was already actively participating in a number of roleplays, and I could only stay in contact with a select few guildmates on the Facebook group. Eventually, the long wait was over, and the site was given renewed life after a few bumps in the road that guildmaster Mahz faced in his attempts to resurrect this place. It was a good day for many including myself when this site slowly started getting more and more features.

2014 was my second year in college and was a very stressful time for me. Mostly concerning academics, with a few occasional problems regarding friends and fellow students alike. Because of this, I had to suddenly drop out of roleplaying for a while in order to have the time to get my real life back in order.

Now, I've returned to the site, and am hoping to get back into the groove of roleplaying and make more great friends and have even greater adventures through whatever huge universe your brilliant minds can think of! If you wanna invite me to play, or even just have a friendly chat about anything, send a message my way and I'll reply as soon as I can =)

For those of you who are wondering, my roleplay interests include: Sci-Fi, Military, sometimes Fantasy, a Fandom one if I'm familiar with the source material, heck I'd be willing to dabble in an Apocalypse setting as well. I'm also willing to try new things as well if it seems fascinating enough. So hit me up with an idea any time and I'd be happy to share my thoughts with you.

Well, I feel like I've used up enough for your time. Thanks for caring enough to read all this, and I hope you enjoy your roleplay adventures as much as I have in the past and the present ^_^

Still waiting on what everyone else has in store. Also wondering if anyone will interact with my char or anyone else XD
Finally got my post up. I think I'll let the other GM's dictate the level of resistance posed by the CIS at the airfield. Also hoping that darn infection burns to death soon, Nariata XD
"Airfield is just up ahead sir. Multiple contacts are around the perimeter." A Clone sniper said into his comms as he peeked out from one of the higher floors of an office building. He examined the outskirts of the airfield with the scope of his rifle while a fellow clone watched his back. Droid patrols surrounded the place, AAT's stood sentinel, several Dwarf Spider Droids patrolled the area and scaled buildings to get a vantage point, and Droid snipers were positioned in the higher floors of the airfield structures.

"They have plenty of heavy weaponry and snipers protecting the place. AAT's at the front, Spider Droids on the roofs. A head-on assault is gonna put us right in the middle of a firestorm." The sniper said. Several floors below him, Thrasher's company stood on standby. "A head-on assault is our whole purpose for being here, soldier... Alright, get back down here and rejoin your squad." Thrasher replied. "Alright... Tank line one. Head off to the sides, and prepare to flank the enemy. Squads one to five, move through the buildings, and get ready to provide cover and suppressive fire when we begin the assault. The rest of the squads, take position behind the tanks and be prepared to find other cover once things get hot." He ordered. "You're leading the attack straight on, sir?" A Clone trooper asked him. "Where else would I rather be?" Thrasher answered with some enthusiasm. "Let's give these droids a little taste of the Republic's wrath!" He continued. "Sir, yes sir!" The clones answered in unison. And with that, the diversionary force began getting into position.
Meanwhile, Gunship Triton received the order to break off from the main squadron, and wait for a Sniper to let them know the most poorly defended area to break through. "Understood, sir." The pilot said. With that, the Gunship carrying the commandos flew off. Behind them followed another Gunship holding the demolition squads Thrasher had given them.

Inside the dark passenger area of the Gunship, Kappa Squad was doing a final check on their equipment. "Cockpit, how's our explosives?" Spotter asked as he counted his detonators and ammunition clips. "Counting the ones Mech is carrying and estimating the Demolition squads'... Enough ordnance to level an entire garrison, sir!" Cockpit replied. Spotter nodded. "Alright... Kappas! Get ready for action. This entire operation is banking on our success. This airfield WILL be put back into the hands of The Republic. No matter what it takes." Spotter said forcefully for one last boost of morale for his team. "Time to deliver their one-way ticket to the Hell." Cockpit said. "This will send a message to the Seps..." Radio added. Mech simply looked at Spotter and clutched his weapon tightly as he gave a short nod.

"We've found a good place to hold position. We'll stay here until the coordinates have been given." The pilot said into his comms. "Roger that! We're beginning the attack now!" Thrasher replied. Blaster-fire could be heard in the background of his voice.
"FOR THE REPUBLIC!" A white Clone Trooper shouted as he and his squad advanced through an open street to reach the airfield. They ran towards the wall of the area, firing their blasters wildly at the multiple B1 and B2 droids standing on top of the wall. The Droids began returning fire and a B1 manning a stationary gun turret mowed them down before they crossed the street.

"Damn Spaarti-cloned idiots... We need real soldiers for this assault..." A Clone Trooper with the blue markings of the 501st said as he took cover behind the debris of buildings as red blaster shots were flying over them and hitting their cover. "Have you been able to re-establish contact with the other squads or General Skywalker?!" He shouted towards a 501st Clone handling his comm set. "Negative, sir. No luck." The Clone replied. "Damn it all... We need support here or we'll never be able to advance!" The squad leader said. "Sir! We got movement on the wall!" Another clone said, pointing at the wall occupied by the Droid guards. The suppressive fire began decreasing as several B2 Super Battle Droids and squads of B1's began moving along the top of the wall, heading somewhere else.

"Where are those clankers going?" The squad leader wondered out loud. "Don't know... But this gives us a bit of an opportunity." The previous Clone said. "We need to take out their heavy gunners. But how do we-" The squad leader began. However, he was suddenly interrupted by two Gunships flying out through the gaps of the buildings, going above them, and firing its weapons on the droids on the wall.

"Hahaha! Well, what do you know, sir?!" The squadmate said. "Advance up, now! Prepare your grappling hooks for rapid ascension." The squad leader said. With that, the squad of three Clones quickly ran through the street and prepared to scale the wall.
Kappa Squad quickly jumped off their Gunship, and dropped onto the wall after it had been cleared of droid contacts. "Secure the area! Don't let any droids alert the rest of them!" Spotter ordered both his team and the Demolition squads as the Gunships turned around to leave. The Demo squads had the same Dark-Maroon markings of the 717th, but had Engineer helmets and had backpacks carrying explosives. They were also armed with DC-15 blasters. The section of the wall had been cleared, and the inner area below it was also empty. The nearest living droids were too far to notice them, for the moment.

Suddenly, they heard the sound of grappling hooks latching onto the wall. Instinctively, the Kappas and the Clone Engineers aimed their DC's at the hooks. However, they lowered their weapons as soon as they saw three Clones of the 501st climb up to the wall. One of the troopers saluted them. "Sir! Clone sergeant, Sync of the 501st. Reporting for duty, sir!" He said. Spotter saluted back. "Spotter, Commando of the Spec Ops Brigade. What's the situation here, Sync?" He asked. The clone lowered his salute. "Me and my squad were sent to destroy Anti-Air batteries in the airfield to keep the skies open for General Skywalker and his squadron. But resistance was too heavy. We got separated. The other squads are probably dead, and only two troops are left of my team." Sync explained.

Spotter nodded. "Well you're in luck. We're here to sabotage these Separatists for the combined assault of General Skywalker and the 717th. What are the locations of these batteries?" The commando asked. One of Sync's squadmates stepped forward. "We were given these holomaps detailing the position of our targets." He said as he produced a map of the airfield. "The anti-air batteries are scattered across the field. Covering the entire area of the sky above the airfield. There's two on the north and south, with one on the west and east side each. They're all well-defended." He explained, pointing to the red, highlighted area on the map.

Spotter looked it over for a moment, quickly formulating a plan before turning to the Demolition squads. "Alright, you go with these troopers and help them destroy their targets. Me and my squad will continue to covertly move about the field to seek and destroy other targets. Once the batteries are down, you boys should do the same. When you're finished, let us know and we'll contact Commander Flash to begin his attack. Then we regroup at the Imperator docking area to assist in the final push. Is that clear?" Spotter explained.

One of the Demolition squad leaders spoke up. "Are you sure you'll be fine on your own?" He asked. "I work better when I'm only leading my squad. It keeps us quick and coordinated. We'll trust you to do your part if you trust us to do ours." Spotter answered. The Clone Engineer nodded. "Alright then" He said. He then turned to the 501st soldiers. "You three, take us to your targets." He said. "Yes sir." The three clones said they scaled down the wall, and headed off to the western side of the field.

"No time to waste, Kappas. We've got some munitions to destroy." Spotter said as he and his squad began rappelling down the wall to search for possible targets.

I thought mages were hunted and 'purified' and that magehood was typically kept a secret. Either way, I suppose this just gives my character a personal goal.

I think Laue may have spoiled what's going to happen xD. Well, let's just say that... "receiving citizenship" ... is something that will happen to the Mages very soon.
First post is up there =)
A chariot rolled through the streets of Liria, going at a modest pace as citizens went about their daily business. Eventually, the driver had the vehicle halt at a checkpoint manned by Paladins. "Public chariots will go no further. Please drop off your passengers here." The Paladin said. The driver nodded as two men in Paladin armor stepped outside. One of which was Varkasan Trenact. The other was a taller Paladin named Aradus Dukevis, wearing his own set of armor. They both had their swords in their sheathes and their shields on their backs.

They approached the guards. "Show us your papers." The guard ordered. They both swiftly produced their citizenship papers and the letter of invitation sent by the Paladin HQ. Scrutinizing the papers carefully, the guard finally let them through.

The streets behind the checkpoint were much less active, but it was primarily because this was now restricted Paladin territory. Varkasan had noticed that security had been increased ever since The Azure Covenant began their activities. He himself had been assigned alongside squads from The Guardians to respond to Mage attacks in various villages. Every single time, The Azure Covenant would claim responsibility. "Whoever these people are, they are very bold. I don't know whether they are powerful, or just plain foolhardy. Still, it is best to assume the worst." Varkasan thought as he and his companion continued their walk.

Eventually, his friend spoke. "So, what do you make of this?" Aradus asked. "I don't know... But I'm assuming it has something to do with that dangerous Mage group." Varkasan replied. Aradus chuckled. "That's not what I meant. I meant: what do you make of the higher-ups personally inviting a new member such as yourself for what could be an important operation?" He explained.

"Oh... Well, I'm not entirely sure myself. I've only been serving faithfully for nearly a year. In comparison to Paladins like you, I'm just a grunt. I guess they see something that I don't." Varkasan replied modestly. In truth, he really was surprised to receive that letter. Even their Covenant Leader was unsure why they would ask him to go, when they could easily ask for another veteran like Aradus. "Well maybe you've been able to impress them in that one year even more than the older ones. You always were the first to volunteer for the tough jobs." His friend responded with a short laugh at the end.

"True..." Varkasan replied, smiling a bit under his helmet. Soon enough, they arrived at the building that housed the Paladin HQ. "This is the place. Time to find out what's gotten the brass all bothered." Aradus said. Varkasan nodded in response. With that, they entered the structure, wondering what new orders were waiting for them.
Soo... Are there any new developments? Or are you all just waiting on me? If so, then I am terribly sorry and will get to work on my next post ASAP >_<
"... Books... Pencils... Pens... Paper..." Naganori said to himself as he went over the contents of his bag while in his room. The sun was already up, and he was already dressed in his Satoru High uniform. He had already taken a bath and eaten breakfast. He continued checking and saying the names of the various items until he was sure that he hadn't forgotten anything. "Alright... Looks like I'm all set." He thought. With that, he slung the backpack around him, and proceeded to leave his room.

Emerging through the door, he would be immediately greeted with a set of stairs leading down. His room was all that composed the second floor, as the house was not that big. If he remembered correctly, this house was meant to be a vacation home for a friend of their aunt, who lived in Tokyo. But the man had recently passed away, and left the property to her in his last will. As such, the house wasn't exactly luxurious. The first floor had the main bedroom (Naganori's was meant to be the guest room), a bathroom, and a living room that was combined into a kitchen and dining area. The house was made mostly of painted wood (colored blue-green).

Reaching the first floor, he saw his father sitting down on the sofa, watching TV while his crutches leaned by his side. Meanwhile his mother was washing the plates they had used for breakfast. "I'm heading off to school now." He announced. "Take care of yourself, alright?" His father said. "Are you sure you don't want me to drive you there?" His mother asked. Naganori shook his head. "I know my way to school, and walking will help me familiarize with the city more. Besides, it'll save on gas." He replied. His mother nodded and returned to her dishes while Naganori headed out the door, and walked to school.
Lost. That was the one word to describe Naganori at the moment. The walk to the school had been nice under the sun, but after entering the gates and being inside, only then did he feel the dread of not knowing where to go. He took some deep breaths and tried to compose himself. "Alright... Think calmly about where to go." He thought to himself. He headed through the main doors of the school and saw several students walking to and fro. He knew he would probably get even more lost if he tried to randomly follow somebody. He then saw the large bulletin board in the main area.

Approaching it, he saw class assignments with names on them. They were arranged alphabetically, and so he managed to quickly find his name on the list. He took out his phone, and snapped a picture for future reference. He then saw that there was a note telling all the students to gather at the gym for an opening ceremony. "Where is the gym?" He wondered to himself. Deciding to ask around, he found a student friendly enough to point him the right way. "Head that way and just look for the big crowd gathered outside. You can't miss it." The student told him. "Thank you." Naganori said before heading off.

It didn't take him long to reach the crowd. A lot of the students had gathered already, but it seemed as if they were still early as no one was being allowed inside the gym yet. A funny-looking man wearing a Roman helmet was ordering the students to be quiet. Naganori assumed he was one of the teachers. He could already tell this would be an interesting school year.

He walked up towards the edge of the crowd, looking around at all the faces. There were several who were talking excitedly with each other, while others simply stood there and waited for what would happen next. Naganori would be part of the latter. Looking towards the big gymnasium, he wondered what he would see inside. More importantly, he wondered what his classes would be like once the school day had truly begun.
Scratch what I just said. Looks like Lionheart did deliver XD. And as for what I suggested... I dunno, I just thought we might improvise and get an outline for what we intend to do. Just to keep the interest alive.
Looks like Lionheart is suffering some IRL difficulties, as it's already past his estimated time =/. I guess we might as well work on our morning and school IC's while we wait.
