Starting Artifact(s): Death - Monochrome Feather Earring. Ability: Death Catalogue. Allows Riss to recreate any dead body (barring manabeasts) the mana of which he has previously absorbed. They are created fully intact, with no physical damage, but are brain-dead.

Orphanage Hometown: Mayohiga

History: Riss' parents were at odds with each other frequently, an ongoing feud that ended in divorce. Rather than play by the rules however, Riss' father decided to keep him all to himself. A single father, he couldn't actually care for him, so Riss grew up in his grandmother's cottage far outside town. A self-proclaimed witch, huntress and all-around kook, she would show him the ropes on what she did every day, living alone in the middle of the woods. Riss thought it suited him better than the academics he was put through back in town, and Riss slowly learned to live off the land. He learned his grandmother's macabre methods to horticulture, leatherworking, and how to make various other crafts out of animal parts.

8 years later, his grandmother passed away, and his father had to take him back to town to live with him. It wasn't long after his return however that he was taken away from his father, who didn't rightfully have custody any longer. A day later, his father killed his mother in cold blood. He is currently serving a life sentence in prison.

Without a home to stay in, Riss became an orphan at the age of 12. Of course, determined both to pay off his debt as it accumulated and improve his quality of life, he immediately began trying to use what he learned from his grandmother. He has had mild success, but he wasn't allowed to touch the orphanage's garden, As a result, his room is always one of the filthiest in whatever orphanage he resides.

The pets alone were worth it.

During the week preceding his move to Liravel, he spent no less than 36 hours scrubbing out stains while he burned his collection of plants (after harvesting some seeds of course) so he could bring their ashes with him and use them as fertilizer on the next generation. His pets were also either released or put down, and in general his entire room had to be fumigated, thereby erasing what small progress he had made on his debt.

He intends to do it again.

Personality: Slovenly and offbeat, Riss isn't very sociable. He's Level-headed and reasonable, but aggressively values his "pets."
