5E players! WotC's decided to bless us with a new Unearthed Arcana this month in the form of another Ranger revision. Perhaps we'll see the old one as some sort of Seeker or Shaman some time down the line? In any case, I wanna hear opinions from you guys as to whether or not you think these are good changes/whether you would incorporate them at your table.

History:
The eccentric young magic user known as Lucille is a creature shrouded in mystery. Unsure of her true parentage herself, much of the Half-Eldrin’s early life consisted of stealing to survive and wandering wherever she could, stowing away on the odd carriage or two. It wasn’t until she tried stealing from a mysterious woman in white that she finally gained a home, having been taken in by the woman as an assistant.

Lucille never learned the woman’s name (having only ever referred to her as “Master” or “The One-Eyed Witch”), but she instead learned much in the ways of spellcraft and about various species of monsters. When her master eventually sent her on her way with naught but a Rodan’s Encyclopedia and her now-precious bunny outfit and stuffed friend Baagrelius, she was already more than capable of handling herself. And even more ready to do some adventuring of her own, without the presence of her teacher.

Skills and Abilities:
Gem Magic: A form of magic that crystallizes mana into the air into solid crystals to be used for offense and defense. Lucille likes to carry pre-prepared magic stones on her person to manipulate, saving on the mana needed to create the stones on the spot.

Blast Magic: Pretty much exactly what it sounds like. A highly destructive type of magic that causes explosions made of pure mana.

Reinforcement Magic
Equipment:
“Baachii”: A stuffed doll with a spirit by the name of Baagrelius sealed inside of it. Supposedly hates the nickname that Lucille has given to him, but puts up with it. But only from Lucy. Foul-mouthed and generally irritable, Baagrelius could be considered the “tsukkomi” to Lucille’s “boke”. While not as powerful as he would be in full spirit form, Baagrelius serves as an effective battle companion, as well as a makeshift firearm and storage place for the “Lucy Buster” and other objects that Lucille sees fit to carry around.

Lucy Buster: A long-handled hamner that Lucy uses to smash things. Each side is inscribed with the insignia of a bunny rabbit and enchanted with fire magic, allowing it to act like a brand of sorts.

@MaxxRocker The well to draw from for patrons is pretty wide even with the ones given in the PHB. Plenty of ways to fluff archfey, fiend lords or bizarre eldritch beings. What edition do you typically run?

@MonstrousMan Looks interesting so far. How encounter-heavy do you figure it'd be/how does your playgroup tend to operate?

@MaxxRocker On the subject of player contribution to pantheons, my players unfortunately haven't bothered to play around with anything beyond the base group I've provided. Granted, it's a pretty robust list.
What they do like is making Warlock patrons (5e), probably because it's a bit easier to fluff something that doesn't necessarily have a portfolio.

Ramiela remarked, arms crossed under her chest, the pride of the Brotherhood's unofficial sub-group, the <<Oppai Knights Order>>. After keen observation, it had been considered that Ramiela was at the top of the charts in the chest department, and thus she had become the unofficial "Patron Saint" of these hidden knights, christened the <<Saint of Bra-Break>>. Ramiela, however, was none the wiser about these secret club meetings extolling the virtues of Brotherhood bust sizes.
Cupping her chin with one hand, the tall, buxom saint began to consider whether or not the winning creed could be spruced up a bit, although she was a bit distracted by the serious yuri vibes coming off of Vegnya and Ezmeralda.

So, how does everyone like to organize their in-verse pantheon? I personally like mixing deities I like from Forgotten Realms, Greyhawk, etc. and even Pathfinder with some homebrew stuff thrown in. Seems to work pretty well for my players thus far.

what are your guys opinion on the matter that the GM could/should also play a character (not NPC but PC like the other members) in his story, as long as he is fair with it? :)

In the campaign I'm currently running, I like to throw in DMPCs for short stretches. Maybe the party runs into them while hunting down a dragon, or happens to find them fending off some creatures on the way to a destination. A good way to introduce unused classes to the party at the very least.

Ramiela certainly wouldn't be opposed to delivering asswhoopings for others' own good.
