Bio

Long timer roleplayer, been at it for... god, almost 15 years now all told. Hasn't been all sunshine and roses, but I like to think I've improved somewhat steadily as time has gone on.

I generally like to play older characters, or at least toward the higher end of an age range. Also, just about all of my characters are caring and protective in some capacity, even the rare meanie that I make.

I play a mixture of male and female characters. I myself am a guy.

Generally speaking I try to post at least once per week.

@Raijinslayer@BlackPanther Okay, how about this then; for clarity's sake, shall we have Raijin make a Jaden post to take us into the hideout, Panther makes a Pikachu post to identify Vix, then we figure out a plan of action and I'll make a Seth post to kick that off?

@Holy Soldier In the interest of helping her not lag behind as much, could I have Hestia get woken up by an angry Zubat or something and have to fight it off to get a little experience? Or would the amount I'd get from that be entirely negligible/do I need her to have a trainer to get exp?
@Saltwater ThiefI'll get on it when I can, probably tomorrow cause it's a do nothing day

Well, let's give Panther some time to catch up here. If Pikachu has a decent nose, it may be possible for her to solve the issue by recognizing Vix's scent.

But yeah, if you come up with any ideas in the meanwhile, I say let's hear em! Brainstorming is the way to go here I think.

@Saltwater Thief
@Raijinslayer

There we go. So signalling from Vix is a no-go. She's just nekkied, unconscious, and trapped in a tube of (hopefully opaque) science juice.

Joy.
Welp, @Raijinslayer, I think this is a puzzle you'll need to figure out.

Unless... @Black Panther, how good is Pikachu's nose?
@Saltwater ThiefI can promise that Jaden will be smart enough to not charge in half cocked, but he's kinda unsure how to handle the situation since any sort of distraction would render everything 20x more dangerous, and he has no idea where Vix is yet. (The fact that she might be evolved, including hearing that conversation, wouldn't even cross his mind because he wouldn't think that they'd evolve her immediately upon taking her here.)

Hmm. Alright then, that makes establishing contact and recognition first priority above all else, and it sounds like that's going to fall to a combined effort of Vix sending signals and Seth reading them and convincing Jaden. Perhaps we ought to make that the immediate objective to keep things rolling and sort out the rest of it once we've gotten that taken care of?

@Feisty-Pants @Black Panther?

"Bean counters said I couldn't fire people for being handicapped. Did it anyway, ramps are expensive." -- Cave Johnson

Gods, I loved Portal 2.

"Make life RUE the day it thought it could give lemons to CAVE JOHNSON! Don't you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna BURN YOUR HOUSE DOWN! With the lemons! I'll get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that BURNS YOUR HOUSE DOWN!"

He's the best xD

But yeah, let's hear if Raijin or Panther have any ideas. Seth could probably provide a distraction, since if he gets caught he has no Pokemon to lose, but I'd say that's a last resort on account of the risk involved...

Plus, you know, torture and trauma.

Hm. Obviously stickong to the shadows is the first main option. Second is probably grabbing all seven pokeballs sonce you won't know which one has Vix. Third is the mention of a front door. So maybe making for that is the key here?

Sneak in through the secret entrance, stick to the outer edges, grab the balls, and make for the door?

If I read it correctly, they're not in pokeballs but rather green tubes full of what Cave Johnson would call Science Juice. So we can clearly see a Ninetails in one of them, we just need to get her out (into a ball would be best I think) and go.

Which actually gives us some help because that should mean Vix herself can act. At the very least I think she should notice the boys and make some sign or motion or w/e that it's her, since Jaden may not recognize her.

Past that, I wonder if a distraction may be in order, maybe a container of evolution stones gets tipped over (I'd assume they have some since they make a lot of evolutions easy and fast)...

Oh, @Black Panther I owe you an apology, I consistently forget to tag you in these discussions. I am sorry, I will do everything I can to stop doing that.
@Feisty-Pants blasted tags. See above.
@Holy Soldier veeeeeeeeeeeeery interesting. One small question from me, would Jaden and Seth be able to hear the conversation with the boss, or should they have lagged far enough behind as to not catch that at all? Probably won't affect whatever plan we go with, but it would change the other content of my post (and possibly Raijin's but I can't really speak for him).

@Raijinslayer [Feisty-Pants] any initial thoughts for getting through this?
Post is up. @Holy Soldier, I believe that makes the floor firmly yours to take us in.

@Raijinslayer @Feisty-Pants Nice to hear you're both doing well! I've got employment contracts through the end of May and I'm about to buy myself a nice desktop, so I'd say things are looking up for me as well. I've got a huge backlog of games to get through, but I suppose that's a solid sign that I'm keeping busy... ^_^;
Seth Halen

"I think you're right about not being able to make him talk," Seth replied, "So I think following is the right answer."

Jaden did raise a good point about being able to keep up with him. A skateboard may not be able to keep up with a vehicle, but it would be much faster than two boys on foot. But, then again...

"We don't need to be able to keep up with him," he said definitively, "We just need to keep eyesight. They're smart, and they went on about how legal and on the up and up they are- they'll be doing everything they can to not draw any attention from the authorities. That means he'll be obeying traffic laws to the letter. We can make use of that... but we need to get moving now."

Seth reached back into his backpack, grabbed the jam again, and tossed it to Jaden. "So eat this on the way, it'll get rid of your headache, and we'll get your partner back. Now come on, we need to move!"

With that, he slung his backpack on and started to move after the skateboarder.

@Raijinslayer (Eat the damn jam)
@Black Panther (Stay cute my friend)
@Feisty-Pants (Help is on the way!)

Hestia the Alolan Vulpix

Sirens sounded behind her as Hestia ran. Her little legs were throbbing from her haste, but she dared not stop; Master Ke- no, just Kevin she reminded herself, had never been one to let things he considered his property get away from him unwillingly. And if that kind of mistreatment was the norm for Kanto trainers... there was no way the police would take her side, or even listen to her plea. So she kept running, ducking into any corner she thought she could take and putting distance between her and the Lodge as much as she could, even until the flashing lights and wailing sirens had long faded away.

Finally, she dodged away behind a super market and took a moment to catch her breath. Setting her ball on the ground, she shifted back to her human form and doubled over, supporting herself with her hands on her knees as she heaved through the pain. For the moment, she reflected, she hadn't been followed. But was that because nobody was chasing her... or because she'd momentarily lost them? She couldn't be sure one way or the other.

"Either way, I stick out like a sore thumb..." she thought aloud to herself, "I need to find a place to hide..."

She chanced a look around, and her eyes alighted upon an old fire escape. The super market had apparently been retrofitted onto the first floor of an old two story building, and the fire escape from the second floor had gone unused for quite some time. It was too low to reach from the ground, but if she jumped on top of that dumpster there she could reach it. With little time to lose and few other options, Hestia grabbed her ball off the ground and started to climb. She nearly fell twice, but her fear and the adrenaline that still surged through her veins kept her going. Finally, she reached a broken window on the second floor and climbed inside.

The interior was just as abandoned and unloved as the exterior, but at least it meant nobody would come looking in here for her. Exhausted, she collapsed into a corner and rested herself. Night would come soon, and she'd need to find something to eat, but most important right now was staying hidden. Come morning, she decided, she'd need to head for the forest around the city. She could find peace if she got there. With a plan firmly in place, Hestia closed her eyes and allowed sleep to come.

(OOC: The sirens Hestia heard were the police and the League going to the Lodge to investigate the Club. She only thinks they were going to come after her.)
