Hi I'm a proactive, can-do modern man. I'm also interested in running stuff through Roll20 (though I've never GMed before), or joining the games of others ran through that site or similar programs/services. PM for further deets.

Tex hurried along at the frog man's instruction, seemingly sharing his sentiments entirely. As he rushed alongside him, he spoke in brief spurts of conversation. "As for teaching you magic... it'd take quite a while for you to be as proficient as me, but... I'd be willing to give it a shot. Wish I knew where my staff went, though." He gestured for Zeetah to pause and turned to him. "You didn't happen to see it sitting around the alleyway, did you? It's not 100% necessary, but it does make spellcasting quicker and easier, which means a big deal when you've got a bunch of soldiers several inches away, staring you down with swords in their hands. If they were a little farther away, I could have flung a fireball at them before they got close, no problem."
Hokey nodded his head to Vlad then proceeded further into the gym with the others. He glanced around with fascination at the contents of the gym. It had been somewhat renovated and outfitted with new equipment for their latest batch of test subjects, it appeared. He tried to mentally link the more specialized machines with the test subjects they were intended for. The extremely challenging ones belonged to Crusher, that much was a given. He couldn't help but notice the occasional curious glances he received from Shane, though he wasn't yet able to piece together the reason for them. His head then turned to the new, unfamiliar voice. Felice. He hadn't heard him speak at all earlier, now that he thought about it. Though something was... off. Hokey did not comprehend. He repeated a recording of his words in his head, and with that the true nature of the situation quickly occurred to him, and as soon as it did, he raised his head. Without waiting for Vlad to acknowledge him, he began to talk, a hint of exasperation in his voice. "With all due respect, sir, isn't the goal of this program to make super soldiers to defend -America-?" he questioned, thudding a metallic paw against the marble gym flooring slightly at that last word for emphasis. "I mean, if they can talk English as well, that's swell, really swell, but I think coordination will be a bit, eh, impacted, if we can't understand each other, you know? I mean, I'm outfitted with systems that can not only transcribe audio into text, but also parse it through a translator, but... ever used Google Translate? Babelfish? It's not great, is what I'm saying. If I have spoken out of line, I accept my reprimand, but I hope you understand that I just have concern for group cohesion."
Ah. Also, yeah. You'd be right on where my dudes are situated.
Hmmm. Where exactly is your stuff taking place on the map? Just had some thoughts on things I could potentially do.
Siastraplinicorn Interdiction Vessel Asteroid Pen SS-50 Captain Daintyflash galloped through the winding halls of the core installation of the asteroid network at full speed. On his mad dash to the command center, he passed by many siastraplinicorns that were in a similar frenzied hurry, bolting off in every direction. The base was in complete disarray, with the wailing sirens providing the soundtrack for the collapse of anything resembling routine. Panicked voices barked order and counter order at each other over the station intercom system as they tried in vain to reach consensus on some course of action. This was the first time any Interdiction Vessel Pen had raised their alarm for a reason other than training drills. Daintyflash recognized one of the siastraplinicorns he passed as Ensign Hubert Bright, one of his own crew. He was sat against the grilled deck of one of the passages of the stations, his frontal hooves rested against his shaking head as he murmured incomprehensibly to himself. Daintyflash had no time to pause and comfort him. As Daintyflash made it to headquarters, he found the door left wide open. At the far end of the room was base commander Rear Admiral Wellrock, his gaze stuck on the view screens lining the circular room. "Sir, I--!" Captain Daintyflash called out. "I damn well -know-, captain!" Wellrock snapped back, interrupting him. Captain Daintyflash suddenly rose from the floor. He kicked about in futility as he was tugged into the air. The artificial gravity hadn't given out, or otherwise the rest of the personnel in the room would be levitating as well. It was at this moment he noticed the arcs of blue electricity dancing around Wellrock's horn and emanating from his intensely glowing eyes. As Wellrock yanked his head back, Daintyflash came flying across the room. He came to an abrupt halt just before the view screen, which he was then rotated mid-air to face towards, Wellrock magically forcing him to take in the view outside of the compound. Daintyflash's mouth hung wide open. The reports of enemy vessels were a certainty, but... "They're... no... they're... b-battlecruisers, sir?!" Daintyflash stammered in astonishment. While there was only battlecruiser in the formation, the three Altars were nonetheless much larger than anything the Captain was used to serving on, or indeed anything stationed at the base, barring a few tender vessels they kept for long range missions. That and this was afterall their first contact with an unfamiliar race, so misindentification was to be expected. "How did they find us?!" Wellrock scowled. The sapphire glow once isolated to his eyes and horn now enshrouded his entire body. Daintyflash was suddenly flung around in the space above Wellrock violently. "You, you idiot! You! The quartermaster has informed me that one of the self-destruct devices was left in the storage bay, and gee I wonder who's formation was the one that forgot to pick it up!?" Wellrock harangued. "They never would have detected this installation through the magical shroud, never pinpointed our position, without interrogation of captured personnel!" This, of course, wasn't at all true. Siastraplinicorn stealth measures weren't anywhere near as impervious as Wellrock reckoned them to be, but extreme arrogance is endemic to their kind. In the confusion and agitation, the commander had not heard his attendant inform him of the incoming message. By the time his angered rant had simmered down, the transmission had been decoded. The siastraplinicorns gathered in the command center collectively flicked their ears up attentatively at the new voice. Daintyflash was at last set back down, where he then collapsed in exhaustion and pain. "We bring greetings from the Holy Dominion of C'ran. Do not be alarmed by the appearance of our ships, we wish only to establish contact." "Contact, huh..." Wellrock tiredly muttered to no one in particular, he himself drained from exerting all his magic reserves through taking out his anger upon Daintyflash. Wellrock raised a hoof to draw the attention of those in the room. "Under normal circumstances, procedure dictates that we get in contact with the Splendiferous Leader and gain his input, but these aren't normal circumstances." Wellrock spun about to face the personnel arrayed around the central terminal banks. "Try to send a response. Convey to them that this is a military base belonging to the Social-Nationalist Interstellar State of Siastrapliny, that we will not attack unless if provoked first. Furthermore, if they're here about the... convoy." Wellrock turned to Daintyflash, who was still sprawled out against the floor. He scowled again. "... That we would be more than willing to let them detain those responsible, as an apologetic gesture."
i knew i forgot shane god damn it i am sorry aaaa (Haha it doesn't matter too much, but I still feel like a doofus.)
Tex blinked and glanced around as he suddenly felt the two hands leave his. His eyes widened as he saw the cause of the commotion: soldiers. While his face wasn't yet plastered all over the city as Zeetah's was, the notion that they might know of his earlier infractions was, of course, a cause for concern! He increased the distance between him and Zazoria as the soldiers came closer. He could only wince as they grabbed the lizard and threw him against the ground. A second wince occurred when that nice robe of Zazoria's got soaked in the soldier's drink. "I've seen quite enough of this...!" He angrily muttered. He suddenly dashed back down the street, shoving himself between the soldiers and the sprawled out reptile. "Hey! No one beats -my- semi-acquaintances I met only about three minutes and thirty-five seconds ago!" He angrily shouted, stabbing an outstretched, accusatory finger towards them. "That was also a waste of a perfectly good drink! More over, no one is dumb enough to draw the wrath of a wizard--" While his threat started off solidly enough, when he reached for his staff, he froze when he realized it was actually no longer secure in the hoops of its harness that wrapped around Tex's torso diagonally like a bandolier. "Oh god where is it?" He thought to himself, his expression becoming one of obvious fright. He held his hands out before him as he stepped back, nearly tripping over the very person he tried to stand up for. "H-hey w-wait... w... we can talk about this!" He pleaded.
Hokey didn't seem quite so startled this time around when Ariella took her turn to pop out of sight. "Another one who can disappear, huh?" Hokey commented, his amusement blatant. When Ariella smiled, he responded with his own unusual one and nodded. "It's okay to make mistakes. Just don't forget the lesson attached." The mechanical hound said to her. As she headed out, Hokey followed, at last moving to join the rest of the group at the gym. Once at the entrance, he paused before heading in to allow the new arrival and their escorts to go in first without obstruction. "Oh hey, new face." Hokey said to Eris as she passed. "Didn't see you back in the lunchroom. Nice to see your friends there have helped you get right where you need to be." When Hokey finally wandered into the gym with the rest, he turned to Vlad. "That should be all of them. For now. Any further orders, sir?"
Aw dang it. It was just some cartoon robot holding a "No fun allowed" sign.
